I play on a private server for this game, and have just finally got it up and running again after much effort and anger, so if anyone would like to play this wonderful game with me, post here and if you need the client, pm or im me and I would be glad to help you out. What are the rates? Is it high-rate, or...? Anything unique in particular about it?

I think it would be high rate, exp and job exp are set to 10x normal rate, and drop rates are 2.5x normal. It makes it kinda easy to level up but its fun since you can get the class you want quickly and then just enjoy, also, theres custom NPC's (Job NPC, allowing you to gain your job without having to do the tests, Warp NPC, allowing you to warp for free to any town or dungeon, stylist NPC, allowing you to change your hair style, color, clothe color free of charge) Though I havnt used the job NPC, I like doing the tests before getting my jobs lol. XD. 10x sounds like a low-rate. If the max base is still 99 then it's most likely a low rate.

But no worries, low rates are the greatest; communities are better--since it's the closest to resembling iRO. I find high-rates (I've seen 3000x before) have a bunch of really incessant whiners about MVPs and WoE times.

Thanks for the offer though. ^^; I'm still taking a break from private servers at the moment; was just curious to see what kind it was. =) It sounds a lot like the ones I used to play on (Stylist NPCs, bankers, Job NPCs, etc.).

The job quests are fun as well, kudos for doing them. I quit before the server I used to play on implemented Ninja, so the newest job I tried was still Gunslinger.

We have Ninja and the Tae Kwon classes....I wasnt too impressed with those and yeah the base level cap is still 99, but you can do the transcendant classes to become Sniper, Paladin, Lord Knight, Assassin Cross etc. and at that time you can cap at base level 255. Gunslinger is one of my favorites lol, its just so cool to go all desperado on the enemies :D and alright, if you ever decide to come back maybe we can play together or something :D I was half expecting to get attacked for not playing the 'legit servers' here but people actually seem rather interested in it, which is nice

XD I actually played on legit servers (iRO Loki) for about a year, before quitting. Mostly because I didn't have time and because once you hit 85+, leveling your base is a DREADFUL experience.

I joined private servers out of curiosity and because many of them had the kRO updates that iRO lacked--and to this day that seems to be the case.

Transcendent classes are the wewt. I'm a SinX at heart, I always had to have a SinX whenever I joined a private server. I was Gear-Crit Build, mostly from 3x Critical Jur with 2x Counter Rings. I also had Falconer Build Sniper, FS Priest and Combo-Asura Champion.

Besides Gunslinger, which ones were your favourites? =D (*finds extreme nostalgia in discussing RO, XD)

I played Legit servers through the open Betas lol, once it changed to P2P I quit for like 3 years and then got back into it last year.

Well, as much as I disliked them, I have to say, Ninja IS somewhat fun to play, I would grab up about 500 fire gems and cast huge 4x5 panels of flames(skill is called Crimson Fire Formation) and it was funny watching him doing the little hand motions for each skill lol but easily my favorites are(in no particular order)

Archer
Knight/Paladin
SinX(usually did dagger builds)
Super Novice
Wizard
Priest(of course, would be a full supporting build cuz I always thought that 'battle priest' stuff was redundant, if you wanna have a fighting char, make a fighting class lol)
ALCHEMIST!(SO FRIGGIN COOL! XD)

Yes! And when you go Biochemist you can make little plants! I found that so addictive. I'd go around putting plants everywhere in towns.

I havnt gone past Alchie yet, I kinda just hang around looking cool or help people with small things here and there(its the most underrated class, I swear!) Whitesmith is neat too

I'm on RO aswell. I use a private server called Valkyrie RO. I have tons of chars. A champion, sinx, star gladiator, sniper, gunslinger, high wizard super novice, prof, paladin, biochemist... I've tried them all. lol. I find the biochemst fun too, but it's hard to lvl. It also took me forever to understand homunculus creation and lvling, so I delted my homunc like 6 times, and now I'm trying to lvl my new one all over again. lol.

nothing wrong with private servers, the only thing is since its free, you get a lot of jerks, scabbers and kill stealers. but yeah i kinda got bored of ro a while back but starting again might not be so bad if it wasnt for the massive mounts of homework i get. maybe later on i will join you guys.

thats whats great about the pserver i play, there arent those jerks lol, the people that actually still play on it are some of the nicest people i've seen in an MMO whenever they see a new char they give them over 1 mil zenny just to get started with lol for example.

Gunslinger named Xetjsin, and a Knight named Darc ^^

@ LikeNeverBefore: The game doesnt have great graphics, but its got a good gameplay style

I cant believe how nice Serenity is, he and I are already buddies XD


the gunslinger is just barely classed up, but my second character, Darc is a level 62/50/1 knight (base level 62/swordman level 50/knight level 1)
