Goofy's Death

You all rember the scene in KH2 were it looks like Goofy died, right? While most people knew he wasn't gonna die, I sometimes wonder if maybe Nomura actually inteded to have him die but maybe Disney didn't let him. In an interview he stated that there had been things in KH2 that Disney made him pull out, so maybe Goofys death was one of them. Well what do think did Nomura plan to kill Goofy off or did he always plan keep him alive?

Well he said there hadnet really been any big issues so I doubt that they wanted Goofy to die. Its just not the KH style to let the good guys die.
And on the other hand why would they.. It would just destory the rest of the game not being able to use any of the Goofy Limits or what about all the weapons and skills they put into the character? It just wouldent make sense to let him die. And if they wanted one of the main heroes to die, dont you think the death would be a little more special than just a rock in the head?

I don't think that goofy was meant to die at any point for a couple of reasons. First, why would they put so much work into him as a character and all the weapons and armor created if he was meant to die? I agree with kairi that if goofy were to die the game would be done, because donald is such a loser in the first place that people would lose interest. I think the rock to the head was just a moment to make the players hearts stop for a minute and to fully realize the danger of the situation.

acctually, what if he did die? I mean people would think he'd return later on but what if they put another character in that uses sheilds? For example Pluto(lmao XD) which would be weird. Or maybe another character that uses a sheild, that doesn't already have a weapon ofcourse. So than Goofy would be dead, somebody will replace Goofy(have Goofy's lvl, have all of Goofy's sheilds) and so on!

I know I was shocked, because I thought maybe the Goofy had bit the dust. I think it was an incentive to get Sora to fight harder right before the 1,000 Heartless battle, you know, where you fought with the FF characters? I know for a fact that I played with a whole lot more intensity, thinking that Goofy was gone.

But then, as Xemnas said, the only way to kill off Goofy was by some amazing cut-scene or something, not just by some falling boulder.

And I don't think Donald or Goofy will ever die in any KH becasue then the gamers would be upset and they'd just cause trouble for themselves (Square Enix)

No, actually, I was a bit shocked at first. I was like "God! Nuuu! TT.TT Why couldn't it have been Donald!?" and then I figured, since it was Disney, Goofy would probably be up and running in about five minutes from then. So I wasn't exactly worried.

And if Nomura HAD to kill Goofy, like people have said, it should be a big scene. Although Donald could die from a rock to his head, for all I care.

No, Goofy wasn't going to die. That would be in danger of losing Disney AND square enix fans. Goofy has been a great character for children for centuries. And if Square-enix were to just KILL him, then that would just be satan.

Things like this happen all the time in Disney movies and a few times in Final fantasy. The only example I have for people dying, are Aerith and Bambi's mom. But usually, it's just the guy getting shot, and then coming back some time later.

Another example you say? Leon getting seriously injured in FF8, then coming back. Case rested.

Nomura's whack i wished he moved on with the goofy death.....and have mickey in your party then when it's the seventh visti for hallow bastio then he will get revived by the yuna and the gang, somethin like that

And when I say Goofy get hit by the rock, I rolled my eyes and thought that that was so totally Goofy-like. ;)

If your refering to me then let me explain. I like Disney I have nothing agaisnt them, the reason I started the form was because I wanted to see what taught about Goffy's possible death thats all. If your not refering to me then who are you refering to.
