Which cheating device would you recommend?

With all the Kingdom Hearts cheat codes popping up recently, I've decided to utilize them. I however, have never bought a cheating device before, so I'm not very educated in how that sort of thing works.

Chances are, I'm only going to use it for the Kingdom Hearts games, along with maybe a few others. Do those codes only work for Action Replay MAX, or do they work for others, like Codebreaker as well? If they do indeed work for several cheat systems, which one do you recommend? I've heard some rather bad reviews for ARMax, so I want to get the best deal that I can.

If you are lazy, and want to spend $40, get an ARMAX.

If you would like to go abit cheaper, I suggest getting CodeBreaker.
You may have to convert all of the codes (Besides the Universal Character Mod), on this site. It costs like $20.
What you really don't want to get is a GameShark.
They're like $10 and they suck...... they're not user friendly at all.
In fact,everything from MadCatz sucks.
But I suggest getting CB(9.0 or higher) Or ARMax(Action Replay MAX).

How do you covert the codes from ARMax to Codebreaker? Also, I've heard a lot about Action Replay MAX corrupting memory cards, and even discs. Do you know if this is true, or if it applies to Codebreaker as well? I'm not really concerned about the price, I just want one that doesn't screw everything up.

it depends what you wanna do

if you wanna learn to hack ( make your own custom codes for your games ) you need a codebreaker that supports dumps

if you wanna play around with other peoples codes get a gameshark version 3 or 4, or get a ARMAX

You suggest AR MAX, a crappy pain in the arse which you have to convert codes for, instead of a Codebreaker, which takes raw codes just fine in versions above 6? Even Gameshark takes raw codes.

Stay the Hell away from AR MAX is you don't want to worry about converting codes and hoping that they'll work. Complete waste of money.

codebreaker 9+ dosn't have to be converted ( these types of cheat devices are the best )

Armax MUST be converted

you can convert with max convert but if you have a Armax you need the game id or else it won't convert right

It ****ing pissed me off one day, I find my Shadow of the Colossus data completely corrupted and my FFX data corrupted too. It is true, though it seemed to only corrupt my ARMAX memory card and not my regular :\

this can happen with any cheat device, it depends what codes you input into it

mouse you rule all madcatz SUCKS and raw code is the type of code that codebreaker and gameshark take its shorter and simpler than armax. i use armax and convert though i kinda wish i had both so i could test a lot of digits with codebreaker then convert them to armax

i have codebreaker 9.0+ and armax,and i may have gotten a few corrupt saves but because im smart i got backup saves(3 mem cards).anyways as for this war with armax and CB,just dont get GS as mouse said it sucks.i had the latest and it sucks.they dont even update there site with new codes.

Armax is said to have corrupt alot of memory cards,but that depends on what codes you put in as khkid1212 said above.But this is why every game hacker or someone that uses codes alot makes another copy of their game save on to another memory card.And if you dont got another card than pary to god you dont get corrupted.Armax is good because they update their site,and you can get alot of gamesaves,code updates easily if you got an internet connection on your ps2.Also if you do get your card corrupted armax lets you reformat your card which means that it will delete everything on it including the corrupt file which cant be removed manually.

Codebreaker 7.0+ is the one you should get,why?because all codes work on that one.One thing that i noticed about CB is that its faster at loading the interface which is a bonus for impatient people.i tried reformating my card with this but it just doesnt seem to work for me.But CB isnt really known for corrupting cards which is good.Also CB is fairly cheap and easy to get.

So i would suggest:
Armax - slow,easily download codes and has a friend system which is useless imo,sometimes codes must be converted for them to work.corrupts cards when entering weird codes in.has a dvd player to play from diff regions of the world.music player.Made by Datel

Codebreaker - fast,easy to use,doesnt corrupt cards as much as AR.7.0+ is the best one right now.There really arent that much cons with this.Made by Pelican.
