Lul, you can't play import games with ARMAX.
You have to get a swap magic and either a
Fliptop lid
Magic keys
Mod chip
Or slide card

and trust me, you DO NOT wna go with slide card. i broke someone's PS2 becuz i slid too hard and now the disc tray doesn't eject. luckily, he didn't care very much and i sent his PS2 to Sony for him and they agreed to fix it for free.

Heh, I had that problem just yesterday! XD After 5 hours of hell in a hamster cage, we got it to work. XD Turns out we had the Slide Card upside down XD; But yo're right, the slide card sucks -.o; We had to open up the whole damn thing just to get the stupid tray back on track XD

Is there a way to get my PS3 to play import games without damaging it or taking it apart?

sorry guys. to make this clear, i meant the armax exploit to run flash drive stuff. so i can use cogswap. and i dont bother using a slide card, i use a screwdriver. :p
EDIT: and in case of any problems, i just never have the top of teh casing on my ps2. and whenit is on, i dont put teh screw back in. im gonna take teh top off teh disc tray later too.

oh Cogswap, i use that but i couldn't get my FM+ to boot with it. anyway, you don't need the Media Player to use Cogswap. just delete your System Confiugration from your Memory Card (don't worry, it's not important and won't do anything bad if you delete it) and then copy Cogswap to your Memory Card using Max Memory on AR Max

yes, it's not something for us noobs. note to anyone else who wants to do the sliding stuff: if you're not ready to risk your PS2, STRAY AWAY. and another tip, if the thing isn't moving to the rite, don't force it, press eject to make it go back and try again but DO NOT FORCE IT if it's not moving.

that shouldn't happen

ROFLMAO. but ppl, the sliding stuff can destroy your disc tray just like it did to my host's. i had to apologize for trying that stuff on his PS2 w/o asking, i had to phone Sony (i wanted Sony to take care of it cuz i didn't wna open it and unvoid his warranty). so if you're considering sliding ask yourself: Do I really know what I'm doing?

i never actually open the tray. with the screwdriver, it wont open the tray, i just prop teh disc up, grab it from top and bottom and pullit out then slide the other in, and the n lock it, and pull disc tray to make sure theres no scratching. right now i just took off the top of the tray. seems so much easier. im burning a hacked guitar hero II. i just got 10 dvd's, so im getting my friend to donwload me kh2fm+ next time i talk to him. dont waste money on sliding or flipping, just disassemble your ps2. trust me its easier, and you can clean your laser while your at it too.
EDIT: WOW ITS SO MUCH EASIER WITH TAKIGN OFF THE DISC TRAY!
i can literally do it in half the time!
