The darker and crueler death's of Zexion, Vexen and Lexeaus are they a good choice or bad?
Really, I didn't pick any. Because to me, that was even dark. And yes, dark changes are good but for not the reason in the poll.

Sorry, I just wrote that down out of randomness.

Yes, I think the changes were good. Deaths aren't sweet and simple. Especially murder.

This game isn't for the 6 year olds that like the film Bambi and stuff (Well I'm double that age and love bambi but thats not the point) it's serious. Life and death for the characters not something a kid would like. It shows that the nobodies are dying horribly and that the killer is happy about it despite that nobdies don't have emotions.

poor lexaeus...*sniff* But yeah, the darker deaths and stuff is better. I'm tired of seeing the hero blast a bad guy with a beam of light then he just vanishes, or something lame like that. Darker is better, but not too dark.
Lol, I remember Tetsuya talking about FFXIII Versus, he said he wanted it to be more dark or something. Maybe it will be the same with the next installment.

Of course it's better, I don't care if children don't like it, they don't have to play it, do they? It's a shame that if this was in English, the Death would have been censored or Altered.

And I'm pretty sure they said Hell as well so that would go from the English version.

All the disney stuff is sort of for the little kids but Square Enix has made it more darker so it's perfect like the Final Fantasy parts like the Sehiroth battle. KH2 is for 12+ while KH1 is for 7+ and KH1 is more sort of Disney-ish if you get what I mean.

Yeah, even KH does have its dark moments, and at some points it doesn't seem like something a 7 year old should play. Especially KH2.....

I personally liked the deaths, because they were more realistic then Sora just hitting some one with his keyblade and they dissappear forever.

Really, the death scenes in CoM even with the small crappy imagery we had available, were quite serious and I understood the intent. Also seeing the Riku Replica get tossed around and his eyes were open creeped me out more than the death scenes, other than perhaps Zexion's because he just looked so darn scared.
KH, I doubt, was ever just intended alone for kids. The background plot of people fading away by Heartless, worlds in peril etc...the loss of life, homes etc...that's serious stuff. The Disney was expertly crafted in to tone down a very serious tale and make it friendly for kids, if you think about it. It waters down some tremendous situations that without it probably would have earned the game an immediate T rating instead of K-7 for even the first game. I think all along the games were meant for a variety of ages and depending on how deep you look, the more you get out of it. That's why the games are so successful.
I liked the more vivid show of what happened in RE:CoM and hope if it ever does come out in english, and not just translated (not to mention I wish we'd get the rest of the Reverse Rebirth here) that they don't cut out those scenes because they are dramatic and empowering.

I really found the darker a little better.
Though because I couldn't understand the japanese as I played, that took out a big chunk of my understanding.
Still...wasn't bad. :)

KIngdom Hearts is essentially a medium ground, it is at times a game for teens ie World that Never Was and for younger kids ie 100 Acre Wood.

I liked the fact they made RE:COM a little more darker, it makes the game a little more serious and interesting.
i say yes >_>; lol
Ppl should learn that there's not only light in the world
cruel deaths are not very abnormal -_-

Darker is definitely better, for the same reasons as others have stated, Sora just smacking things with his keyblade gets a little unrealistic after a while xD
Plus life isn't all smiles and rainbows, there IS darker element :P I am glad it's darker, it makes more of an impact.

Well since it's a PS2 game, I don c y they shouldn't amplify effects. Even though they 'died' unnecessary and gruesome deaths, I still think it's pretty kool. Maybe not a necessity, but definately something neat to add in.

Well in the orignal COM, they had only GBA effects which aren't that great so they can't show all the expressions and darkness and other stuff in which they blacked out the screen (I think they did... Can't remember XD) But they could on the PS2 so they showed what happen because it left people hanging since Zexion could have escaped.
Besides, Re:COM (and orignal COM) is more teen-like than KH or KH2. I mean, Larxene was kicking Sora in the gut more than once, Riku got slammed into the ceiling, Vexen brust into flames with a snap of a murder's fingers... everyone is sooooo much colder, especially Axel.
In KH2, Axel was a totally relaxed and nicer, while in COM, he was more tense and more hateful (Roxas maybe?)
The plot was definatinally more teen, the characters were more teen and think that everything in COM was more teen than any KH game yet.
I think RE:COM was a calling to everyone that Kingdom Hearts isn't just some random kiddy kiddy thing with Square enix characters throw in.
