Larxene's death

In the Chain of Memories manga, Larxene dies because of the double-magic-sprinkler trinity attack. This is because the fire spell melted the blizzard spell, making it water, thus making Larxene, who is a part of lightning I suppose, explode. However, on certain google searches (and on wikipedia), it says that she dies because she was melted by the two spells. However, it appeared more like she exploded. But that leads to another question - is she made of - or a part of - lightning? As she does say "I can't get wet!" Does this mean that she can never touch water? Or she just can't touch water when her lightning is out and all over her? I've been wondering about this all day, and I'd really like to know...

Un-normal water? That's an interesting concept. What sort of water was created when the fire melting the blizzard spell? Oh, magic! Magic water perhaps? Or just magic? I don't know...it's Larxene's line that confuses me, when she says "No, wait! I can't...get...wet!" It's like she saying she just can't get wet or she's dead.

Well, it might just be her weakness only in the manga, as some stuff are different from the games, but I'm not sure - it's possible.

Basically, is it just the manga that she can't get wet, just from water magic spells, or when her electricity is out? Because at the end, I noticed her skin turned all crackly and then she exploded, as if she has electricity inside of her. I was thinking that perhaps, if it was just because electricty was over her, it wouldn't be making her explode internally like that, but it's just a theory. I'm really not sure...agh, but I'd really like to know! XD

Well, she does have elemental power over lightning, so when she gets wet it would make sense for that to happen. So yeah i think youre right.

I think it's just when she is all electrical and has it out, she can't be made of it- Axel isn't partly made of fire is he? XD It is a good point to raise but thats what I think.

Perhaps the lightning was coming out from her body? (Like she draws it out of her person but there is like a core inside her when it happens but that core is still there when she doesn't use it but the magic water can travel acros lightinin into her core when she is drawing it out?)

I'm not sure but it's just a manga that was making a joke really (which doesn't need an answer really if you think about it)

Larxene's manga death pissed me off. She deserved much better than that.

Basically, what califa630 said. It was a joke *fumes*. You can tell from the whole comical view point and the way Larxene acted when she was imploding. Is better not to take anything the manga offers that seriously, or work yourself over it. The whole thing was made of stupidity. Which is why I hate that Larxene's death was chosen to make a fool of.

I'm sure she had more control of her lightning. And if she can use lightning as her power, then she must have a affinity to it as well. You can't summon lightning and be afraid to get shock yourself, is absolutely dumb. Just like I'm sure Axel can't get hurt by his fire either. In the manga, she got wet on the outside, the whole implode of it doesn't make sense. Getting a bit of some pain from it can work, or having a huge electric short circuit (xP), as the energy doubles, but inwardly exploding from the surge isn't a plausible cause. Is the author's way of fun. That's it. Nothing to put too much thinking over. There's no explanation to it, so we shouldn't make our own. If her death was suppose to be serious, the whole thing wouldn't happen in the first place.

What happened to her, should be more of what would happen to Demyx. If he gets tangled by lightning while using his water element, he'll go boom, or fade.

Yeah, I was wondering about that, as I thought it was a bit illogical how she exploded when normally, it happens to water instead. But now that I know that they made Larxene's death a joke, that totally makes me angry as well. But despite the joke, that probably means she can touch water normally, right?

Yep, she can touch water normally. She has control over her element and I don't think she's stupid enough to use her lightning when taking a shower xP. I just hope Demyx never pissed her off. Poor thing.

The only possible thing that could keep her antennae up like that is:

1) The static from her electricity.

2) Nomura's Hard Hold/Long Lasting Hair Gel, satisfaction guaranteed, 24/7. Used by well known characters like Cloud, Sora, Roxas, and Axel. Water-proof.

In all seriousness, I really do think is her static, or some type of magnetic after affect xP. Yet her forelocks are sooo cute. Reminds me of a Shadow :3.

Just kidding, she is made of lightning, I watched Re:CoM and it showed her electric static go through her before she battled Sora. So, yeah, she's made of lightning. Which means she can't get wet during her lightning gigs.
