Paedophile campaigner jailed over child images

A paedophile who campaigned for the age of consent to be lowered was today jailed after a collection of hardcore child pornography was found at his home.
David Arthur Joy, 66, was a member of the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE), an international organisation which believed that children were sexual beings in their own right.

The former teacher had pleaded guilty at Leicester crown court to 11 counts of making or possessing indecent images of children in April this year.

Today he was handed an indeterminate prison sentence and told he must serve a minimum of 18 months before he can be considered for parole.
But the judge, Michael Pert QC, said that given Joy's beliefs, that day "may never come".

He added: "It's clear that you hold firmly to a set of beliefs involving sexual activity with adults and children.

"Those beliefs are wholly in variance to the views held by most members of society, views that most of society would find abhorrent."


The sooner people like him are locked up away from children the better.

Its what 'turns them on'. Usually paedophiles are not married and don't date, are quiet shy in person, secretive in anything and were abused or ignored as achild. but it all depends on the age.

Anyway, Paedophiles are every day people who are attracted to children instead of adults. Meaning they could be anyone and start at anytime in their life.

I try to understand why people kill, rape,etc by thinking like one, I know why they do it, how they do it and who they do it to. But belive me when I tell you not to think like one, it is disturbing.

I dont agree or support, nor condone his views, or any act of pediphilia, but I do respect anyone that stands firm for what they feel is 'the right thing' and anyone who attacks someone just because of said OPINION need to rethink their argument. No, its not my view of 'right' personally, I think anyone who solicits sexual acts from a minor should have their sexual organs removed entirely. But that does not give me a right to attack another's view. Theres two sides to everything, Life is not Black and white folks.

I might not like paedophilea but do you think that the only way for them to feel pleasure is by M*********** over children? They take pleasure in the hunt. By stalking children, by talking to them, they feel pleasure more in this way then in sexual organs, their power over someone young is what pleasures them most.
And by saying to cut their sexual organs off would be difficult for a women and if tried would kill them, you might aswell sentnce them to death.
I hear people who say that paedophiles should be killed, but why let them get off that easily? In jail that stay for years, they have more pain in prison then death.

Everyone has a choice. If they take pleasure out of children, that is their choice. If you are gay (and don't worry you don't need to tell us your gay again.) It is your choice. If you are Bi-sexual (like me) that would be another choice. Life is one big choice, so if a paedophile chooses to be attracted to chidren then they are.

Actually, taking away sex organs also decreases testosterone production which makes a pedophilia individual more docile and having less cravings for such a thing. Men who have been castrated and are eunuchs generally are not as likely to be as aggressive. This can even be noted in animals that are 'fixed'. The sexual tendencies are a lot less.

However, I just think in the end rather than removing their genitalia, people who are like that simply need removed from society because they cannot function with others in normal society and kids will always be at risk. You never know if a castrated man won't seek out revenge and go nuts either, so that just isn't a trustworthy method. Also, since these people tend to be repeat offenders, one offense is enough unless by some miracle it really is seen that they are over the fetish.
