Would it be a good thing if Sora and Kairi kissed in the next game? I'm personally for it, but sgh brought up a good argument in another forum wherein he says that it would ruin the innocence of the characters. What is all of your opinions? I just found this question interesting as I was talking to Rufus last night about how when they made Kairi look good in KH2, they took away from her innocent factor, which in my mind hurt her character. Let the masses speak!

that was exaclty my point, and no game infuriated me more than FFX-2 for that reason. Yuna was one of my favorite characters in FFX, but I can't get myself to even want to finish X-2 because of the abrupt character shift. Kairi's new outfit compromises her character, because she looks like something she isn't thereby making it harder to recognize her character, and taking away from her appeal.

They could pull a final fantasy on us and make it entirely new characters. You know, the reason they probably haven't kissed is most likely because the game hasn't quite developed into something that can be taken that seriously enough as to have kissing in it. Obviously older audiences don't give a crap but the moment you add a kissing scene, the audience range you can advertise for suddenly becomes limited. At most, if Sora and Kairi do get together, it'll be like a hug or holding hands or something romantically platonic. It happens all the time in anime series, so why not in games too.

I was about to say "Just go look at fanfiction" but then I remembered KH fanfiction is like... 80% yaoi.

I think they should. Does a younger audience really grasp the whole concept of Kingdom Hearts? I've thought that Kingdom Hearts would be far better if they targeted the series toward their main audience; teenagers. I know there are people outside that age range on this site, but the majority of the people who really care about the series are older.

I can't say I would mind so long as it's not full on French kissing. I mean, that kind of kissing and Disney characters is kind of...not right.

I think they should share a short, sweet kiss on the lips. Like a goodbye kiss before he puts himself in danger. I don't think it would compromise the integrity of the game because Disney characters kiss all the time. From Snow White & Prince Charming to Chicken Little & Abby just about every Disney couple has kissed or snuggled (if they're animals). Also I like the way Kairi looks in the 2nd game much better than in the 1st.

P.S. Square should create a girlfriend for Riku. He is sooo lonely and he can't have Kairi. But he deserves to have someone. Plus I would love to see Roxas and Namine kiss too.
