Here's my problem. Everyone at school hates me. I'm pale, blonde, and I think differently. They keep hurting me physically and mentally and I've never been mean to them. All I want at this point is for them to leave me alone. I've begged, yelled, ignored, anything you can think of, I've done. Nothing works. So what do I do? Seems like I should just keep being beaten down....

I'm the "freak" at school. Just because I have a medical problem that no one else has, Diabeties. I get f****** pushed around like I'm a chewtoy. Everytime I get around a group of people, they just quiet down, and move away.

Meh, I'm just so timid. I was here for a couple months before I ever posted. If that's not timid, I don't know what is. I've tried asking them kindly, telling them, but they don't stop making me feel like ****. I don't know what to do...

And the same's for me, emo pengwin. My parents have slowed down on telling me to get off the computer, though. But I have tried everything I can think of to stop this....

To me, and I could be wrong, but it sounds like your overracting just a bit. You need to stick up for yourself, and I know you said you tried but they wouldn't listen and continued anyway. That's called bullying. You need to take this to higher athority or else I'm afraid it'll never stop.

Talk to your parents or guardian, tell them how things are if you already haven't. And ask them to speak with the teachers or the principal. To someone that can put an end to this horrible bullying.

Have you tried confronting them? do you know why theyve singled you out? are they girls/guys? how old, older or younger than you? When do they bully you?

Most US school systems suck. Im in NoVA and its great. Crap like this just doesnt happen, and when it does, it is dealt with accordingly. They kinda take some stuff a little too seriously infact, but honestly, better that that being indifferent about it >:[

Sometimes...I wish I was a Nobody. That way, I couldn't feel all the pain. I am constantly bothered with. The teachers, principle, my parents...Nobody can help me....What's the point of feeling if you can only feel Sorrow? I..don't know...

on my bus, everday on the way home, this sixth year would always bully me. id almost come home crying everyday (i was in like second year) but id manage to hide it from my parents, cos i didnt want them involved. in the end, my cousin also got the bus and she sorted it out. probly best to stick with family and friends (preferably older/bigger) on this one. tho ive never really been in this situation, so i dont know how relevant this is (British school system if you were wondering about the years)

Here's my story: I'm popular I guess but I'm always made fun of and I can handle it but its annoy when it's day after day after day. well my only friend whose on kh-vids is grounded (which is Dark Roxas). I'd probanly be suicdeal if he wasn't in my life.....and now he's gone off here I feel lonley.. no one wants to hang with me exept emo pengwin and she not on. I mean he was always the first one to sign up for my rpg but now it seems no one signs up. sorry if i sound whiney

Same. Its unbelieveable, and its completely unacceptable. So much for 'no child left behind'...


Do you have friends who can help you? *^* What exactly happens, sorry if this is painful but we might be able to help if we know some more details-If youre uncomfortable discussing then dont;Im just thinking that itll be easier to give advice:o

I've heard this saying a lot: "When someone is being really horrible to you, it's better to be horribly nice to them". Show that they don't phaze you with their snide remarks or bullying. If people come up to you and say stuff, just turn around and say, "okay, whatever", and just brush them off. Show that you're the better person and walk away. Also, try and keep your head up and smile more. Quiet people are usually picked on most, cos bullies see you as an easy target. Try and be more confident, try talking to people in your classes, like people you sit beside in a class that you don't hang out with. Attempt to get to know them, because not everyone can hate you.

This wasn't for anyone in particular.. That's really the only help I can give for people who have problems with friends. Have any of you tried joining clubs? Like Basketball, Football, etc?

I'd say the best advice I can give is to talk to people YOU like in your classes, who aren't one of the jerks obviously. Try get to know them better.

Im not an outcast, and im well liked by everyone and popular amongst my own friends, but Im not popular. Luckily at my school it really isnt a popularity contest. In MS yah, but HS no.

But yea, as kitty_mckechnie said strength in #s...So, get a big group of KH lovers togeher and you can overpower ANYone xDDD

IDK if you guys cosplay at all, but, cons are a FANTASTIC way to meet new people. Working on costumes with friends is a great passtime as well...Plus, it wont kill respect people have for you-I tell my [please excuse this manerism] 'normal' friends about cosplay and theyre totally cool about it.

IDK if you guys cosplay at all, but, cons are a FANTASTIC way to meet new people. Working on costumes with friends is a great passtime as well...Plus, it wont kill respect people have for you-I tell my [please excuse this manerism] 'normal' friends about cosplay and theyre totally cool about it.

Let me share an interesting and very true, recent story.

There are these two guys who didn't hang out. One was a punky rocker (let's call him Mike), the other had that ganster image (lets call him Gan). Both sat one behind the other in my English class, and they stuck to their respectful groups.

One day, I hear a single word that whips my head around so fast I swear I almost got whiplash. He's talking to Mike! *gasp* And by the gods, that was "Naruto" I heard uttered from his mouth! He and Mike were engaging themselves in a polite and action packed converstion about their favorite anime, Naruto.

Two from VERY different worlds. Connected by none other then Naruto. Because they had this important interest in common, they began socializing and soon after, became school budzz.

Today? I saw them at lunch, Talking about what? Naruto.

When our English teacher moved away and we got a sub who asked us if we had nicknames? Gan announced to the entire class, "Call me Rock Lee", and Mike? He said, "and call me Gaara".

My point is: shove stereotypes to the side because there's living proof that already throws stereotypes and eats them for breakfast.

My little brother is a punk a**, so I feel he got what he deserved when he was sent off to a group home at the age of like 12, but besides that, me and him were close, but he also attacked me at random, and got in fights about nothing. I learned to things, I would first ignore him, like not give him a bit of notice...EVER...then if I did something nice for someone he would start to ask why they got something, and I told him cause he pissed me off. Generally he would shape up for a good while and it worked. But I have to say, if confronting doesn't help I learned to ignore what people say and my emotions, I dont show feeling as much. I will say that it is hard having bent up emotion but the best thing I can think of is to try to ignore it the best you can...I really hope it helps.

MightyMighty, here's what you do.... Agree with her. Constantly. People who insult you cannot STAND when you simply agree. Example: I often get called gay by my own sister, so I turn around, slap my rear and say " You know it, girlfriend! " with a slight flick of my wrist. Y'know, like the stereotypical gay man. Shuts her up just about every time. Seriously, though, I've not encountered an insult where this -doesn't- work. Even if it's the most crude thing, like " you do naughty things to your mother! " All you have to do is remove any fear that people will take you seriously.


But seriously, some of the stuff I'm readin here confuxles me. See, in my school there's not a whole lot of... any of this. It's a surprisingly positive environment where pretty much everyone gets along. I mean, sure, there's some racists or people that make fun or people that are complete jerks, but they don't last very long. Hell, when I was a freshman and a senior slammed me into a locker, 4 guys I didn't even know ganged up on him in my defense. I dunno, either I'm being very sheltered to the real world, or some people overexaggerate.

Get a restraining-order-type thing on her. If she is that mean, she shouldn't be talking to you.

She clearly has problems and demeans you for no reason on that. Or you could just straight up make her feel like **** for doing it to you. Such as--crying your eyes out and yelling at her. That's enough to make anyone feel guilty. But I wouldn't personally suggest it. It scars more than it heals.

Well, I think your best bet is to just ignore him. If he tries to knock your stuff down again, say you spit on it or something. Or inconspicuously watch him and and if he looks like he's going to do it again, then make sure your stuff is away from knocking-down path. Under your desk works...

Yea shes right, when people freak out, society feels it to be funny, that is why reality TV is so popular. If they know that you dont care, then good chance that they will stop. It will just take time to realize that it doesn't affect you anymore, it took 6 years for people to realize that I didn't care how short I was. So give it time.

Take a different route home. Try to confront why they feel the need to cause physical harm to you. Tell your parents about this if you haven't already, if they can't do anything then tell an adult at school. Preferably, your guidance councelor.

Welcome to my life, I really don't know how to start, because I think I have learned to ignore it a lot. As for you getting beat up on the street, the only thing you can do is take a new way home, or find someone to walk with. I know that you are not one of a kind at school, so you just have to look for the right person to hang out with, I moved schools 5 times so I never had the same friends very long, but when you find some people that are into the same things its good. Just start poking your head around, you'll find some, plus you have everyone here. My parents were are separate as well, and that is hard really hard, I have 2 sets of families, with 2 sets of rules, with 2 set of activities. But that is something that you will discover that it isn't as bad really, as long as you stay in contact, I try to see my dad once a week and If i can't then I call and talk, just don't let communication down. As for the low self esteem, find something your good at, it helps, and you can't dwell on bad things it will only bring you lower, and that is a path you don't want to take, it really sucks and it set me back a long way. Just look to a bet future, nothing is unbearable, I really hope this helps, I am happy with my life and I have gone through everything you are, really just have to stay positive.

Oh, I didn't know there was such topic until some minutes ago... and I read all posts, took me some time though.

Everyone can stand up to protect themselves. You say neither principles or teachers or parents care about it. Then what the heck is stopping you from teaching them a lesson? You'll get hurt? So what? That will hurt them more than it'll hurt you. And don't think you can't, a single kick in the face is enough to take them to the hospital. If you're worried they might get seriously hurt, then don't worry. A kick is enough so they stop their teasings and not die.
(I'm refering to everyone having these problems)
I know you people are good kids. I know what stops you from hurting them, but if you can't hurt them yourselves, then call somebody who can do something. And when I say "something" I surely don't mean talk ;)
I'm in the first class of senior high school and I'm 1.80 m tall. However, there's a guy who's 1.97 m, who has muscles like hercules...(lol, maybe that's too dramatic)
His power doesn't scare me at all, when I have the chance I go give him a punch in the arm and then he tries to do something to me... (there's a particular thing he wants to do to me, but has never succeeded :D ) but then he punches me in the arm (and that hurt...). Just to clear it out, we're friends and we tease each other like this, I'd never do something like that without reason.
What I'm trying to say is that you should protect yourselves, even if that means you gotta fight back in any way.
Don't have anything else to say, hope you understand what I'm trying to say.

Wow, I thought I had the suckiest life. Well, here's some advice for everyone that hates their life because they don't have friends or people bully them. Two things you should do:

1.) Learn manipulation. Not really bad manipulation where you trick people into doing stuff for you, just learn how to persuade people to stop what they do to you and learn how to talk yourself out of trouble, you know, like Capt. Jack Sparrow kinda. Usually works for me.

2.) Have Roxas' attitude. Roxas just has the friendliest attitude. You know, just try to go along with people. Agree to their ideas so they don't get mad unless their ideas are too much for you. Keep in mind that it's okay to laugh at yourself once in a while - don't get so mad or overreact when people "bully" you (note the quotation marks). And compliment people more than they compliment you.

Hope life gets better for you:)

Advice is cool and all, but in reality there are going to be some things that are best said to a guidance councilor or parent. It's always best for someone to confide in a friend, loved one, or some one with more experience than to toss their laundry onto a public forum where thousands of eyes can view it.

I'm sorry, apparently my being from Canada warrants that my valid point about emo and suicidal kids discussing their problems on an open forum-- most of which consists of kids-- not be needed? Alright that's cool. The problem is that most people are unfit on a forum to deal with people who actually have problems. Sorry, WR but I'm disagreeing with the statement regarding that the residents of an internet forum are unfit to help with personal issues. While this forum doesn't have such a high concentration of intellectuals interested in things like so, there are other forums like the MT ones that have very reliable advice.

Part of the reason why people come to forums is because they like the anonymity of it. And yeah, emo kids? Seriously, they're a lot more comfortable talking to someone of their own age who deals with stuff that they do. Not a school counselor. I couldn't care less about speaking with my school's social worker.

No, I'm not a psychiatrist, but I can relate to someone a hell of a lot more than most professionals can. A lot of the people here don't come with very serious issues anyway.


Personally, I enjoy coming to forums because they're my type of people. It's like when my mom tried to get me to go to an ala-teen meeting. The people there were honestly some of the most fvvcktarded people I have ever met. They had been in the program for at least a year, but were still naive to ask inane questions like "But if alcohol hurts them why do they use it??"

I like talking to people over at the MT boards significantly more than people at ala-teen because they are obviously more understanding of situations, and unlike in ala-teen they don't associate everything with god. I'm fine with christians, I have a lot of friends who are christian, but when it's being mixed with something that is supposed to be completely free of religion I have problems.

In relation people resort to posting stuff on here because they don't really want to get into with their friends. I trust my friends, but there are some things I'd rather not share with them. Especially since I'm involved with a lot of different groups of people, who on rare occasion get along with each other.

Yeah there is a relation amongst those that like to share their problems with those that experience the same ones, but you don't go through 4 years of post-secondary education and sometimes graduate school to be a crappy guidance counsilor that knows nothing about kids. I'm sorry that your school has one that lacks the ability to relate to kids of a certain, and yes some programs are just down right shiet, but most work unbelievably well. The only issue is the subjective barrier that the generations build for themselves. Kids are always going to think that adults don't understand them in some way, but forget that adults were also kids once, and dealt with the same, if not worse things.

Also, there is issue with the level of comfort some people perceive there to be. Of course you'll find people that know what it's like and are generally cool about it. But most of the time-- sadly-- it is a whole bunch of kids that haven't lived life enough to know their own ignorance as to how good their lives actually are. Then what you get is a giant vortex of youth misconception, mixed with ignorance, and horrible pop culture fads (If not all three, at least the first two). Yes there is anonimity, but there are also *******s on the internet that will never make anything a truely safe place. Plus nothing says empathy like a good real hug.

White_Rook and I are Psychology majors right now in post-secondary institutions, and I naturally will have to agree with he says that 4+ years of post-secondary education can't be considered useless after all's said and done.

There's a reason why it's a professional occupation, and why they get paid for what they do. Many people don't even give them a chance, and automatically make the assumption that they will never understand their problems--be it because of age, environment, etc.

No, forum members may not be *entirely* useless, but there is a lot more growth to be gained when you communicate with people physically and express yourself in person and actively associate yourself with other human beings within arm's distance to express your problems and seek a resolution that way. There is only so much that can be achieved with words; some require therapy, others require medication--forum discussions just can't address these issues.

Relating to something is different from being able to treat it, or guide people through their problem(s). That's what post-secondary eduction in Psychology/Psychiatry can help people learn to do.

And I don't want to create the idea that I don't believe the interent can help. If done right anything, including self-help/ kids help phone-like forums, can work. I agree with the fact that an immense majority of this forum doesn't have the mental capacity of the topic to provide useful advice/support in the given situations. I haven't gone into any detailed view of this thread, but I'm assuming that most of the posts here are petty everyday problems that virtually everyone deals with at some point in their life.

I agree. While we can't call ourselves professional (sorry for anyone who went to school about it or something and can), can truly anyone? Everyone's problem's are different, and everyone's feelings about their, or anyone elses' problems.

Even with the anonymity, I still feel uncomfortable. But really, no one goes to this forum who knows me in real life, so I really have no reason to feel that way. That's just me. I hardly feel comfortable in any situation.

I went to like this Bible-study thing for a few weeks (It was only once a week), and they would try to help us with problems, but they would also try to like, carve religion ino all our thoughts. It's like, how are we s'posed to get on with our lives if all we think about is God? I mean, it's hard enough for me to concentrate in school (ADD) without that on my mind.

I believe that true friends get along most of the time, but still, everyone fights/argues. I had to let go of one of my friends, we never had fun anymore, and we always argued. And she was a KH fan, too!

As for my issues, they're really more personal. I don't get teased at school. Well, only by this one kid who everyone hates anyway. I'd bet he has less friends than I have. Not that I don't have many, it's just, why make fun of someone who doesn't even care? And even worse, get made fun of for it?
I'm really more paranoid than anything. As I'm typing this, I'm thinking about what people might do about it. I mean, like, bad stuff. Using it to scare me. Stuff like that.

My advice. Don’t freak out about exams. Go out and have some fun. By worrying about exams so much you've created this bored depressed state and actually increased your odds of doing poorly on exams (Trust me there. It's scientifically proven and I’ve experienced it first hand). Now you should still study but don’t let the fear of failing them consume you.

About the A****head thing, I say that you should go right up to her/him/it and tell them what you think. Chances are, they are afraid of you and try to get other people to put you down. I know it sounds cheesy,but its true.

That's not right. There's NOTHING wrong with being gay, and if someone's gay, thenlet them be. Just ignore them, they'll get bored with saying it. As long as you know who you are, then what does it matter what others think? Choose your friends wisely, and stand by them. You'll pull through...

It has been going on for two days, I woke up at midnight, and there was a spider on my face, normally that would scare me, but I just calmly got rid of it.

Advice should not be given by people who haven't solved the situation for themselves or at the very least experianced it. If you have and i'm wrong, congrats to you. Here's the best advice you all can get: Problems are best delt with the person having them, ask any therapist/advice giver. Because in the end they either learn from them, or their gut feeling solves it for them in time. Asking for help on social problems, etc is just ridiculous.
