i no in the detailed explanaition it says how much u give and take depends on something, but what does it depend on? and how do i tell exactly how much i give or take?

I think it depends on how much rep you have, how many times you've been repped & the number of posts. I think having over a 1000 posts adds one to you repping.

I think that's how it works, i'm not too sure about the how many times you've been repped though.

There is no way to tell how much yo give unless someone tells you.

thnx, but i wanted to know if there was some kind of formula....like

(number of posts) over 1000, and then add 1/10 of your total rep points

I do believe its a mix between how much rep you have, how long you have been here, and number of posts >>

1000 posts = 1 rep power +

100 (or 50, I forget) rep = 1 rep power +

Every 6 months (I think) = 1 rep power +

Please note this is for every time the system verifies you for the above exceptions.

So if you started out with 1 rep power and get 2000 posts and 200 rep (magically) you'd have an estimated 5 rep power. However depending no how much you distribute rep and receive it this can vary greatly (either up or down).

Since you've also (assuming) been giving and receiving rep, as well as been getting rep power +'s I'm not surprised you have 4.

I have 287 rep and 2.5 k posts, and often give and receive rep, giving me about 10 rep power.

i dont understand how i give out 3 rep though, even though i dont have 100 rep, or 1000 posts, and have only been here for 5 months, like rosey.

Rep depends on how often your rep'd.

so far, i think darkwatch has made the most sense....

but lets see....i have 17 rep, a little over 500 posts, and ive been here for just about 6 months....so, does that mean i only give/take 2 rep? that bites....i thought i had more power than that....
