Meleficent's role?

I personally think that Meleficent will be in this game.

Why? In KHI, when Cid, Aerith, Leon and the gang are talking about her, Leon says that "She took over our world. That was NINE years ago." Add one year for KHII, and we have ten years ago, which is when BBS occurs.

Any thoughts?

yea she will cuz the "Sleeping Beauty" world would be her HOME world...so yea i think we get to fight her in the game but obviously not kill her....

Birth By Sleep takes place ten years before KH1, so Maleficent's invation of RAdiant GArden should be ocurring one year after BBS, right??? I think in BBS she will be in her home world, being a boss or so, and she will come in contact with the Heartless and the Darkness-theme by the time of BBS' events.

I think it's important for us to think WHEN did Ansem and his Apprentices begin experimenting with darkness and folk's hearts... King MIckey never mentions it in KH2, but i guess it's an important detail, because it could give us some clues about the times of the Series' events, don't you think???

Oh I'll love the game even more, if we can beat her up again in Sleeping Beauty. I loved killing her in KH1!!! :D
But I think that this time she wont be playing an important role, cuz the game will probably focuse more in the new enemy.(heartless, nobodies and new thingy)

If the game is mainly about the story of Xehanort's origin and how he was responsible for the destruction of Radiant Garden, perhaps Maleficent will make a brief appearance near the end of the game, arriving at Hollow Bastion. Still, I doubt she'll have a mayor role.

Oh, and Maleficent didn't actually invade and take over Radiant Garden. She just arrived there after Xehanort had destroyed most things in it and made herself comfortable there. Leon and the others just assumed that she was the one responsible for the destruction.

Perhaps she does have a role in the game, but only a role within the world that she is from. Kind of like how Sora deals with the affairs of one world (Say... The Colusseum) while still dealing with his main enemy at the same time, then Terra would experience his little share of dealing with that worlds' affair and such. Though why the Sleeping Beauty land is covered in thorns is something I don't quite understand... (Help me if I am confused on that thorn land really being from Sleeping Beauty. =P)

Birth by Sleep takes place ten years before the Kingdom Hearts game, and as we have seen Princess Aurora in the first game, she looks the age she was in the Sleeping Beauty movie, making her Sixteen (The age she fell in a sleeping spell). Really, she'd be six at that time unless she is ten years older and we really do not know that. Also, Xehanort and his collegues have not even begun their research towards the darkness of ones heart and all that, so the Heartless were not really around for Malificent to take control of them.

To make my post short: Yeah, she'd only have a role within her own world.

I Agree, her role in KH1 was good enough. KH2 was like..'en' I think I've had enough of her and would like new stuff. Fighting her a boss would be fine with me though.

You guys you can't have a sleeping beauty world with out having her in there, I mean thats just not logical. So obviously she plays some sort of role and I doubt she is a supporting character. So the level boss possibly or this is during a time when she is building forces with heartless to take radient gardens. So for all we know baldy has some connection to her giving her some idea. Or atleast how I see it.

They should add any though this is like a different story. And anyways Vincent would be terrible in this game, we already have one emo panzy, we don't need another. Add they should add anymore, and if they do it needs to be subtle not like part of the story. That I wouldn't mind.

Vincent could be the original knight of Radiant Garden who stay's behind to try and stop Maleficent from turning the world into a barren place. He tell's his squire Squall Leonhart to live to fight another day.

It's worth noting that when in pre-development Tetsuya Noruma and the other creators of Kingdom Hearts were asked to make a Gaiden (Side-story) game that has little to do with the current story.

That would be introducing a whole other side story and a new plane of existance into the game that hasn't even be thought of. The idea of having an FF character being a knight is stupid to me. Mostly cause the fact is they are all O.C. to BBS so why bring in a FF character when the others are new. It just seems stupid to me.

I'm pretty sure, though not positive, that Maleficent will be in this game since a new world featured is the home world of Sleeping Beauty. I doubt Aurora will be but maybe through some cinematic sequence or little thing since she'd be a little girl, or she's asleep already for some time. However, Maleficent makes sense to also be there because she knew quite a bit about things that had happened and also had the same assumption Xehanort's Heartless did; that Kingdom Hearts was power by Darkness. She also gave Riku the Soul Eater sword, which well, in the past seemed to be Way to the Dawn or at least a Keyblade that lost its power. She pretty much moved into Radiant Gardens after Xehanort and the others had done their damage and fled, releasing the droves of Heartless, and so took over and studied, making herself comfortable. By the time she had gotten there, Ansem the Wise also took his dive. So Maleficent had to have some reason to know to go there at all, and my guess would be it is from what happened around her world and others. She also seemed to ride on the coat tails of the Organization, hoping they'd die off too so she could have their castle as well. She knew a lot of things that otherwise are unexplained if she wasn't in this game.

I doubt it they're finally going to make a female character playable (that is of course assuming one of the three scenarios should be Aqua's) and not make her fight that fugly old witch...

I feel it'll be Aqua Vs Maleficent (because what little we've seen of Aqua so far makes her seem like a red mage, which suits to fight Maleficent a black mage/witch. Aqua was the only one of the three knights to even use a spell in FM+ video and she used two; a form of thunder and reflect at two different times in the video).

Besides in my eyes... Aqua FTW!!!
