Okay, most people I've talked to come to the same claim: "Mickey wasn't chosen by the Keyblade, he just found it". But, in Birth by Sleep-which seems to be before the ones we've played-Mickey has Star Seeker.

And that's when it hit me:

Exactly how could Mickey NOT be chosen, yet have a keyblade of his own?

Discuss.

Maybe there is a difference between

Being a chosen keyblade master, and just having one

Maybe, maybe not.

Well, Kairi had a keyblade, and it didn't choose her...

I think he was chosen, though... for some reason. Meh, the ending of KH1 just gave me that impression. x_x

I think he may have been chosen, but it is very confusing all the more.

King Mickey was obviously to me a Keyblade wielder. If he had one in the past as is shown in Birth by Sleep, he did. However, I think the Kingdom Key is supposed to be pretty important, and Soul Eater changing to Way to the Dawn is as well. The Keyblade Mickey went to get was in Darkness and so perhaps someone forced it to go there and that's why Mickey had to go retrieve it. Maybe that mystery will be answered but it appears he had one Keyblade any way. Apparently the one to Darkness had to be retrieved though in order to lock the Door to Darkness in KH because it had to be locked from both sides. I hope we do get some more info on why it was there in the first place.

I think that the Bald Man was the one who choosed him, like Terra choosed Riku, Aqua choosed Kairi and Ven choosed Sora, and why Baldy, because he has a Keyblade and the Inverse Kingdom Key is from the darkness.

Its probably the fact that since Mickey is the king of all worlds then the keyblade would be divinely given to him. Why give the power to someone lesser than a ruler if the rule isn't able to wield the power himself. Its like a form of balance the way I see it.
