I would get that, since I played a demo of it, and love it, but then I'd have to spend more money to play the past games so I could understnad G.U. And i'm not in the mood to spend so much...

Skies of Arcadia!!!! No one even remembers this game, but it was one of my absolute favorite rpgs for the cube, if not my favorite. It has a ton of gameplay, plenty f extras, cool characters, a neat storyline...*continues on in a rant about how amazing the game is*

Grandia 3 man. Its one of the best rpgs for PS2. It has good graphics, and is distinctly anime influenced. Plus,the opening FMV kicks butt.^^

I suggest Radiata Stories. It has a fun (though somewhat cliched and predictable) story, fun gameplay, and lots of replay value. Very graphically pleasing aswell. The graphics aren't amazing, but they really set the mood and go with the game very very well.

Try the Disgaea series if you want a strategy RPG game. Let me just remind you in that RPG, your enemy won't be fighting fair so you should do the same :P

Dragon Quest 8 is pretty decent but I got bored of it quickly.

You've played Tales of Symphonia, so you should try out Tales of the Abyss. There also is Tales of Legendia as well, but if you want a game closer to the style of ToS, then ToA is that.
