new subforum idea

I think we should have a subforum under creativity corner specifically for fanfics/writings.... so that our stories aren't lost under the topics of other matter, we have an AMV section, we should get a reading section to go with it.

Well Creativity Corner Is for writings/fanfics and then there Is a subforum for AMV's although as you said there have been people posting art In Creativity Corner but Art and Graphics Is where your supposed to put Art
So basically we don't really need a subforum for story's/fanfics because we have the whole main forum xD

I remembered what I was thinking. The main page of it could be used for only fanfics of games, like KH stories etc, whereas, the subforum can be original writings(such as my current story being made)

I have no objection to this suggestion. It actually makes sense to have a sub-forum in The CC.

As Spitty said, it would give order to a section that needs it.

I agree with Mish...while I like the idea of organization, I don't think it's that overall necessary. We've been dealing with it fine.

Besides, if this "putting order" applies to the Creativity Corner, then it should be applied for the Arts & Graphics section too.

however, as to Mish's post, the amount of fanfic/original fic is so outnumbering, that original fic can easily fall off the second or third pages within a day or two, leaving it obcure and not read, whereas, the fanfiction there are so many that it overtakes....

NOW I agree with you. I think we should do this. I'm currently writing an un-related KH story, and I have problems enough gettin' my peep's attention whenever I update the Kingdom Hearts related story, from everyone else's KH fics. Especially since I update crazily (I don't think I've ever posted a whole chapter all at once, its usually in bits and pieces. I'm lazeh).

I mean, yeah, we have a search engine, but its very picky whenever you type in certain things in certain sections, and, not picky enough in others. Also, I dun know that many people who actually use it.

I'll agree on that - I'm no writer but I'm a freak when it comes to organizing things to prevent a huge mess. A yes vote from me, I'd want to visit the creativity section some more.

I'd like there to be a section for KH-based fictions and original fictions. Most fiction sites, and granted I know we're not a fiction site, have some sort of categorization going on. Makes things easier on the browser and for the authors posting.

This is 100% true in everyway. All writers base fiction off of something, whether it is our universe or a game universe doesn't matter, it is the wirting that counts

Yes. But, you know, poems, songs and other works could also be fan material.

So, keeping it simple. All fan-orientated stuff in the main section and original stuff in the subforum.
