Banning from sub-forums

If it would be possible, banning members from specific areas of the forum. Some people only cause a problem in one area of the site (like posting nothing of use to get their post count up in areas). I am thinking mainly of the Arts and Graphics section where people say something like "Oh that was good. Make more" -___-

Also in the Intelligent Discussion area where people are constantly posting along the same lines. Not contributing to the thread or just riling people up.

This probably isn't even possible, but I thought I'd throw it out there ^^

i don't know of this version of v-bulliton allows the mods and admins to do that but yes it is possible

Im going to have to say no to this. If they are doing something like that, especially in the Art and Graphics section, show them the "Proper CnC thread" If they contiune, just come to us, and we'll talk to the memeber. I dont think banning them from that forum is fair :/

Same with Inteligent discussion. Come to us, and we'll talk to the member.

I don't believe it's possible unless we put a password on the entire forum...

But either way, I disagree. This will lead to favoritism, not to mention the difficulty of blocking each trouble maker from each section. =\

it's too much trouble. besides, banning them from the entire forum will teach them a better lesson :)

I think that may piss them off more, and make them move to a different area of people to harrass.

I think it's a bad idea and if someone is -that bad- to merit banning from one area because they want to flame it, they should be reported and removed from the forums if they persist afterwards. It is important for people to be respectful really in my opinion in each spot of the forums, and not just particular ones. If someone is being mean in one area, it's a side of them that needs to be controlled. One area is not a vent to act poorly in while being acceptable in another. Also, as others pointed out, it may be unfair to the person too, when a mod can just come in and ask the person to stop and if it persists, to ban the person, rather than blocking them so if they get mad, they voice it elsewhere as unfair.

If a member is constantly causing trouble or is just spamming, just tell a mod it & we'll check it out.
