I think Dakota Fanning should've been Kairi. It would've been interesting to watch the two biggest youth actors in the same project. I never even heard of the girl that did Kairi.

I'm sure S-E suggested it, but she would've cost too much money....

Hayden Pannetiere (Kairi) was with Disney for a long time. She was the little ant Dot (I think) in A Bug's Life, and she was Tim Allen's daughter in Joe Somedody (was that Disney? I'm not sure).

Now she's on "Heroes." She's the cheerleader with the instant healing factor. Apparently, if we save her, we save the world.
