hi i couldn't find the current events forum - so can someone move this

okay in Australia - today is Steve Irwin day, a nice way to remember how he changed the world, we've made a gold statue of Steve and his family (not me obviously like the government) and i believe they put in front of Australia Zoo

Now just to remember his spirit and pay some respect - we should say his slogan and smile

"Gday" :)

actually those are his catchphrases, slogans are used to sell stuff and are about 5-7 words.

That's cool to have a day to Steve Irwin in Australia. He really did not just have a positive affect on Australia but the world with his shows on Animal Planet. Even though he was quirky, he was a great guy that showed us that we didn't have to fear wild 'scary' animals but instead respect them and their place in nature. Instead of destroying creatures that are 'harmful' to humans, he helped motivate people into moving the animals to safer territories that would protect them and humans and he was a positive role-model. It's sad he's gone and he certainly left his mark on the world. I hope his most important lessons he taught us carry on through others.

This thread would be more suited to the events/holidays section. <__>

I wonder how you're supposed to celebrate Steve Irwin day, lol... Hunt crocs? X:

I still can't believe he's dead for some reason.

I know... It just happened, and I was like "How the hell did that happen?! He's the Crocodile Hunter, right?"

Madi, did you necro bump? Tsk tsk tsk.

Anyway, Steve Irwin is dearly missed. At least he's in heaven doing wild stuff with Evil Knievel.
