Food Section

I had an Idea. Why don't we have a food section for in the Creativity corner for those of us here who like cooking ect. We could have stuff like Kingodm Hearts related recepies and other stuff like that. Please tell me if it is a dumb suggestion. Thanks for reading.

Ok, looking at the Anything Else section, there are a lot of threads that say "whats your favourite flavour of chip?" or "What's your favourite food?"

I think it could be possible to make a sub-topic in Anything else (like how Creativity Corner has Original Work) for fave foods and all topics about favourite stuff.

Please delete this thread if you don't think its a good suggestion because I don't want to take up any space or anything for a stupid thrad!

I agree with mastersword, if it's just fave food then it would be a bit plain and kind of boring.
If it's a subforum like "Favourite Things" then it will be a lot more open :)

Well there's already enough Favorite threads as it is. If you want another thats somehow not made already, then just make a thread. If we keep making new areas for little things, then we wont have any use for an anything else section anymore. Plus, things like Favorite game and Favorite kh member and stuff would be better left in their respective sections.

Eh, I'd say no to this. There's few of these as it is, and a lot of them end up being moved to spam anyway because people fill them with spam. What would end up happening is that people would spam all the time and post-whore in there and it'd be worthless. The non-spam ones fit fine as it is in Anything Else.

Ok first, bad choice on title. Because when I first saw it I thought it was some lost noob who made a thread in the wrong section <_<
Second, it's a bad idea. Those kind of threads are incredibly useless in general, and are just for fun. Also, posts are always spammy in those threads, so if we did make a sub-forum for that, post should definitely not count. But why should we? Because what I just said is the basic definition of the spam zone.
It's better of if they were just made there.

Hmm...I debate on this one. I do agree the title is not a very good one and perhaps if it were to be done, maybe Mish's suggestion of "surveys" would be a good idea. I'm torn on it as I think that could work but would it go over well and would people just still use the spam zone any way? It is kind of what the spam zone is for.

Okay, I know this is a rejected idea, but it said if we could give valid points and reasons to add the section, we could post it again.

Soo, I was thinking of some "pros and cons" about the positive and the negative affects that would support a possible food section.

Pros or positive things


A recipe thread, so people can share different recipes/recipe ideas that they made/are making. (maybe even compettions on the best recipe)
A food section could be an active section, if we make debate threads (such as which country has the best food, etc) and simple discussion about different types of foods.
Food is a hot topic (to some people) and it could be a very popular section.

Cons or negative things


The section could be spammed easily by pointless threads (what did you have for breakfast/lunch/dinner threads, etc).
It could be inactive due to lack of threads/ideas.
Alot of people probably won`t want to post there, because they don`t like this idea.

That`s all I got. Most of these sound like ideas, rather than pros and cons.

This is probably going to get put back in the "Rejected Suggestions" thread.

So, yes or no?

I'm going to have to say no to this suggestion, sorry. The thing is, while this might work on another forum, this one is about Kingdom Hearts, and there's no need for a section about food. And let's face it -- most of the users on here are between the ages 12-20, and people of those ages aren't really known for their culinary interests.

If you enjoy cooking, feel free to start a thread in Hobbies & Activities.

I don't really see a purpose to this. It's mainly a Kingdom Hearts site, and if we add all these other boards, it'll get so filled up with empty boards, and it'll look unattractive.

I don't see how this wouldn't fit in the hobbies and activities section, but a section in general is like they said "pointless."

If you think food is an interesting idea for the forum, why not just post a thread in the Hobbies and Activities section? I mean, it is an activity and can be a hobby.

I don't think a food section really merits on a KH board a whole section to it. Since there's already a recipe and food thread in the hobby section, you should go there and post things and see how that pans out for you. That is the best area for it anyway since many people consider cooking various things to be a hobby or a future intended occupation.

Rejected suggestions can be brought back up again as long as the OP has valid points, which, IMO he did.


However, I am going to reject the idea. Mainly because I don't think there would be enough interest to fill an entire subsection.

As others have said, there are already existing threads regarding recipes etc, if you wanted to start debates over food or tall about food, you could but it in general discussion :]
