A New Story of Two Star Crossed Lovers,
Chapter 1
the bigining: a memory not to forget
~I’ve come up here for months now, looking over what has gone wrong. I know I shouldn’t live in the past, but the future has just been bleak. I’ve stood on this hill, playing back the war that is frozen to this green battlefield. Vines growing around rusted swords, staffs scattered everywhere, some singed from blazing flame spells, some broken into bits. Flowers using shattered helmets as pots. I can see Aura from Soldiers, pleasantly floating around everything.
Sometimes I wonder if some departed soldiers are from what we used to consider the enemy country, or if the dead soldiers play the war back in their minds, and still think its going on, and that’s why they haven’t left, but I guess that’s just something ill have to ask them once its my time, because ill never leave this kingdom, this is my home, and ill watch over it even when there’s a new queen.
I guess I just can’t get over how two completely different kingdoms, could come together once something like love came over two people from the kingdoms. Maybe, just once more, I can play back what happened to these kingdoms- I mean, this kingdom. This all started with one coronation…
- A girl walked up the busy city street carrying a loaf of bread and heading towards a castle. She broke a bit off and stuffed it into her mouth as she weaved in and out of a big crowd that had gathered at the base of the castle. She sat on some stairs that had also done a fine job as ‘bleachers’. She looked towards the main attraction of this uprising. Her eye automatically caught her best friend next to the queen.
“My good people, I have gathered you all here this fine day, to honor my daughters 17th birthday, in about one year, if Akarui finds a suitable husband, she will be able to relieve these old hands of Destiny kingdom.” Said the queen, she had been talking about the girls good friend; the princess. The girl giggled.
It was true; Akarui was to have a coronation stating that she was to be queen once she found a husband. But there was one thing that could stop it…
“Now, if we go into war with any kingdom, preferably not Oblivion Kingdom, and she happens to lose her life during battle, I will have to continue to hold the kingdom until one of Hikaru’s children are of age to take over in the Star Kingdom. Don’t ANY of you forget that.” The girl looked over at her friend Akarui and saw that she didn’t look to happy at this comment.
Akarui was the head of the captains in the army. Not only was she tough on her soldiers, but even rookies had difficulty, and some of the people wanting to join the army, most of the time ended up as stable boys because they couldn’t pass her instructions.
