i'm not seeing it. Granted it could be a good idea similar to what google and yahoo do for the holidays, but I think that it would be maybe too much work for a one day or few day showing. I'm not opposed to the concept, but logistically, not seeing it.

Those are pretty cute and not hard to make. But again, now's the point of actually having an admin take them. Maybe you should just keep them around and when the holiday is starting to draw near, pm one with a message to show it so maybe they'll use it. If the pics are done it has a bit more of a chance of happening.

That does not help someone with -actual- eye troubles. Kthx. You act like no one would actually -do- that first before speaking up about the issue. Fortunately, I have been able to adapt to it mostly, but really, that was a lame response. Yeah, Halloween Sora would be cool for that or fall time with that picture and some pumpkins and other stuff from Halloween Town perhaps. Winter could have Santa's town in the background perhaps and Santa, snow and things around that. Maybe we could have banners along the theme of just using KH worlds for the scenes. Summer could be Destiny Islands with Sora, Kairi, Riku and Tidus Selphie and Wakka as a suggestion. and Spring could be somewhere with flowers and such on some other world. Maybe each month could be from a scene on a world that also goes with the seasons.

DF, for example, your skin would require an entire new skin because the colors don't work with the current blue and white. It just seems like a lot of hoopla for a little bit of something. Getting new skins is a rare thing, and the same thing always happens when we get them: People freak out, say the old one's better, make a gazillion threads in spam about them, somebody gets radical and tries to petition to get the old one back, more threads are made, mods get annoyed and lock them all and make a rule saying you can't make them, and then people get used to them. It's a major ordeal that seems like an awful lot of trouble to be happening all the time.

Oh yeah. I forgot about the whole world wide thing. Hmm...okay, forget about the seasonal concept. (And I worked hard on it too. :cryinganime:)

Why don't we just keep the white background, no matter what? All you'd really need to do is change the color of the outside part (the blue part) into a different color. And since it's a one day thing, people can't really complain (much) because it's only temporary. It'll be back to its regular scheme at the end of the 24-hour period.

I could easily do this idea, it doesnt take THAT much work, the issue is being "PC" it could become offensive to other religions that dont celibrate christmas. You never know what some users might believe, so using x-mas trees only, could alienate some users from feeling important and special as well.

Just a suggestion for when we inevitably get a new layout.

Because from what I hear the new layout comes out around new year. And because the new Kingdom Hearts game 358/2 days comes out around this time. (Earler for jap, possibly later for us) and finaly, with the new forum upgrade that allows us to choose more then one layout. I think we should get 13 possibly choices.. one for each organisation member.

Now before you yell 'OBJECTION' and state how much time 13 layouts would take. Im not suggesting you make 13 COMPLETLY different layouts.
The most I would like would be a different header for each organization member. And if possible some minor things between them. (Like the icons for forum new posts/old posts have a picture of the number of the organisation member. Maybe the members 'nickname' (Key of destiny and such) written somewhere on the backround... Stuff like that.
It would be a nice way to keep a refreshing look in the forums. Like if your tierd of the Axel look. Go for a Vexen one. D: I uno.

This one with white should also be an option and if we are fortunate, maybe the skin for the new year would have something 358/2 Days related, and perhaps we'd end up with an additional skin. To me that would add variety and choice while also understanding that we have preferences to our background colors and button styles etc too. Doing this would also enable them to put more distinctive themes in regarding multiple characters instead of just focus on one at a time.

Tho Coded dosent exactly have much in terms of images to use.

Yeah, more skins with various things would be nice and I'm sure that's being debated upon. I have inquired to the issue myself and well, as they did leave the option now for alternate skins to be used, I believe we'll be seeing at least a couple skins added.

I've been asking about that since a lot of us did love the old skin and it was unique. All I can say for now though is that I'll keep bugging about it as I was told it still exists and well, hopefully here this is seen too. They may have to modify the old skin to fit the new VB but we can hope. xD

The second one could be the previous skin to this one which had BBS characters on it.

The third would be this one.

And maybe the fourth could have something of 358/2 Days on it and the fifth could be whatever. The 358/2 days one would probably cater more to the Org any way so a nice 5th skin would be cool but it could be whatever. I do agree a Coded one would be kind of pointless. So whatever looks cool is cool wit me.

I'm not sure about V Bulletin, but many sites can change those colors as part of the skin. The trick then is figuring out the new colors if you change a skin.

Well it won't be a problem for those writing in the general color here. Whatever color is set as a basic color would show up instead of this color which is preset as the standard. So if the other skin used light blue or light gray text as the base color, that's how people with that skin would see it. As for other colors people use, some people still use yellows and lighter colors and we just have to highlight the text with this. The same would have to be done with the other skin or any skin really where people input their own color choices.

Example: Halloween- Change the background orange and the writing black and have Sora at the top of the page in his Halloween Town costume.

I would have to say no. Reason? Too much work for someone to do just for a holiday. Heck, some members are not even American so they would not understand why Sora was dressed up like that. So, I guess this will be locked soon enough.

Even though I would really like this and it would be really nice to have, I'm going to have to say no. It's too much work just for one holiday. Also, not everyone celebrates the same holidays; it would be kind of pointless.

I will be honest, I do really love this idea, I always have.

However, it wont be done.

Think about it, there are a LOT of holidays in the year, not everyone celebrates them all, but everyone celebrates some. It would be unfair if we did it for some and not others and would be missing people out.

Plus it is quite a bit of work for just one day.
