i have a problem with my swap magic, i start it and a shows the start menu, then "restart" itself and went to the menu again and it went to the browser screen. then i start it again and said no PS2 format. i open the tray to let it refresh and went to to browser screen again. i tried it on a another DVD swap Magic, but it wont work. wat's happen?oh when it started, the thing is still spinning, but doesnt stop. it was suppose to stop but still spinning. i use the fat one and only the dvd Swap magic. i just play it for 30 mins and let it take a break so i can study for exams and this happens when i just started playing it. i clean the laser of course, but still the same.

your PS2 probably isn't compatible (some models don't work)
if the disc isn't scratched then thats probably the problem
its not compatible with one of my fat PS2's
i had to get a modchip instead

Oh, I've been using special boot this whole time for kh2fm+ and it works fine. I'm scared to do normal boot now xD

1. Turn the case upside down. Your console should have 8 screws under the square plastic pieces.
2. Pop out the plastic screw covers with a butterknife or a screwdriver and unscrew all the screws. Remove the Sony warranty sticker. This is done just by pealing off the sticker.
3. Once done, turn the console the right way up, and left the case VERY CAREFULLY forward and up.
4. Carefully take off the lid slowly. There is an eject ribbon attached and you do NOT want to snag it.
5. Next remove the four small screws holding the CD assembly cover on. Once they are all off, simply lift up on the lid and remove it.
6. Next take out the white plastic spindle hub that sits inside the CD assembly cover you just removed. It should slide out.
7. Next place the plastic hub in the your new Magic Case. The metallic part should face to the top.
8. Now place the reset, eject parts into the Magic Case as if was the original Playstation 2 case. Sometimes it is better to use some small tape to make the eject tray ribbon tidy and sometimes use an extra screw to keep the reset/eject part in place more secure. There is an extra screw hole that was added just for this purpose if needed.
9. Now slide back on your new Magic Case lid and screw back in the screws. Replace the screw covers and you're ready to go!
