DA's Top 5! Week 12(55) (Feb. 17th - Feb. 23rd)

Every week, I scour the video portal's latest submissions and pick my top five favorites. Just because you don't make it into the top five does not mean that you're video wasn't good. We just have so many good videos that they're hard to choose from!

Again life got busy and I was unable to do 2 last week, but fear not this week should be quieter. Anyway here is the Top 5 for this week.

Song: Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin

This video has crisis core spoilers. I had a hard time chosing between the 1 and 2 this week, but I picked this one in the end because of the technical aspect. The video has a whole was very good. Just don't let the effects do the talking, effects are only a part of a good AMV.

Song: Will You be My Lady by Dj Sancho

A good emotional video, some very good effects that weren't overused they fitted quite well for the type of video. The main flaw with the video was the flow, the video lacked it and flow is highly important for an emotional video.

Interesting mix here. Syncing was pretty good, though more lip syncing would of been nice, but a good effort.

A pretty good video. Though it needed more flow and more fluid transitions.

Interesting concept here, it worked pretty well but like the video above it needed more fluid transitions.

It's good to see people doing something original, and take story over effects. It would of been number 1 if it weren't for the fact you used Death Note. The concept was weird, but it worked.

A good beta, seems pretty good, and I can't believe i'm actually saying this, but it needs more effects when the music picks up.

again, why did a death note one, that had something to do with KH, not get 1st, when one that only had FF make 1st? Yes, there are FF characters in kh, but it doesn't center around the FF story-line. (otherwise, 'Arith' would be dead) Personally, I think #3 should have made first. >.>

Well I allow FF into the Top 5, but Death Note has no relation to KH even if KH appears in the video, so that's why it wasn't entered.

4 of the 5 videos this week were KH only. It just happened that the number 1 was FF. I judge by skill and how well the AMV works. It just happens that a FF video was the best this week. I can't help the way people edit.

Like I've said many times before FF has always been allowed into the portal, granted this is a KH site, but also FF is very popular within the community, so I allow FF videos in the Top 5, so A.) More variety and B.) Gives more people a chance and so we don't leave out really good videos that deserve reconisition.

I don't understand all of the complaining about the FF vids...or maybe that's just me. I happen to agree with Darkandroid because the FF vids happen to be in the top 5 because they are really good. I like the variety of KH and FF videos in the portal. Please no one get mad at my opinion, I'm just stating what I think.

I agree with you. I dont understand it either. Yea, it may be a KH site, but atleast its a Square Enix vid. I like the variety. DA is right, you cant just deny a video because its not KH. If its a good vid, it should be recognized.
