Once you get to a certain point it starts only giving a gem every 200 rep.

just a question...getting good rep is...well good, after all, right? Whats so bad about having too much rep? The little green things could get annoying I guess but is it really so bad to approve someone's comment?

I dont really know...there was this one time I made a thread about rep and all the sudden it was closed because "rep is not something to talk about..." "its like talking about voldemort from harry potter..." I asked about how someone could get rep though...

Aaahhhhhhh. Now I see.... No, they just meant that you can't talk about who gave you rep and their comments they left. And you can't talk about how much rep you have. It's against the rules. Some members get sad if they don't have any rep, you see? :3

Really I don't mind either way but if it is something that is going to be where people are capping at soon enough because 10000 rep or whatever is the limit, it could always be changed at the time this comes into question. Is anyone actually in danger of hitting this now? If not, it doesn't really matter right now. If so, I'm sure the admins can change it to 20k or something.

and since none of us are even close to that point yet, I say leave it as is for now. No one has even hot the 2000 yet, so I say we leave it until it becomes an issue :3

xD okies, since no one is even close to it yet, and no one even has even 3000 yet, it will be left as it is until the time comes when we actually need to be worried about raising it/ getting rid of it. I personally don't see a point in a rep limit, but it is most likely a requirement of the rep system to have some form of limit.
