Anyway The code only exists for the special edition but yes it is possible.

The code can be made for regular dmc3 just no one has yet.

I'm working on this code as well XD i'm working on it for the Special Edition version for NTSC tho. i can get some dumps if you need them. i AM having some difficulty porting the codes since i dont' have the PAL version but it DOES help to look at the codes hacked for the PAL version, lets me know what digits to look for and etc.

actually i think that IS the case in that mission because it's just like using the doppelganger style, i noticed in that battle that you're not allowed to go into Devil Trigger Mode and Circle does nothing but call Vergil. i think i know what to do

your welcome, tell me if anything doesn't work, also when you're using the Character mods, dont' change weapons or styles, that causes the game to freeze, not sure why.

try it in Vergil's story. anyways, this code isn't very good, if you so much as Lock on or attack, the game freezes.

You can Only play as Vergil for a little amount of time in non special versions,and Lady is only playable with codes.

change the appearance of one of Dante's swords with the Weapon Image Mod, warning tho, some combinations will freeze the game. i know for a fact that ALOT of weapons wont' be able to become Cerberus

oh, i didn't realize anyone wanted the DT mods ported, i'll get to it right away. the codes i posted SHOULD work on gameshark, just use the RAW version of the codes (all the codes i posted are in RAW if i'm not mistaken).

the Special DT code for Vergil changes Vergil's moves while he's in Devil Trigger mode, it changes it to resemble Nelo Angelo, which is another playable character in this game. it's a good code, not even glitchy either :) the Character Mods, change the character completely, not just the skin. the skin changing mod isn't a very good code tho, it is very glitchy and the skins can't perform many actions without the game freezing. i wish i could fix that, but i wouldn't know where to begin.

EDIT: here they are, according to the original hacker, only these 2 work without freezing the game

i'm not sure either, but SOMETHING else needs to change for the charater skins to work properly, i just don't know what. some weapon appearance codes freeze the game as well, i know for a fact that Agni and Rudra doesn't like transforming into alot of weapons.

actually, Force Edge can change into Agni and Rudra, but only in PCSX2, it freezes on PS2. i thot it was movesets too, but i dont' know where to find the moveset codes :( i might get back to this game, i'll probably end up uploading my dumps so that others might be able to help me.

i think i actually ported all the codes that the PAL hacker made. but there is a guide on porting in the "FAQs- Please Read before Posting" thread.

well, there IS a code to play as Lady, except it really sucks because you can't do anything besides jump, the code IS released btw, it's in this thread somewhere.

also....animations, there IS a code called teh Action Move Modifier. it lets you substitute and execuete 2 moves at once, it can be glitchy though. but i found that if you remove the first line and joker the code instead, you can pull off any move you want to by pressing the joker.

1. that one doesn't seem to work for me either, but i'm sure the code is correct. guess it wont' work.

i dont' remember if there was a code to make enemies invincible. but for Vergil's coat, you can use the Character Image mod to give Dante Restricted Vergil's appearance. but you might want to remove all guns by using the Gun Mods and putting nothing there, cuz it freezes the game if you even try to fire a gun.

hey evil, I got an idea about the playing as dante and vergil at the same time...maybe instead of trying to get dante's doppleganger to look like vergil, you can get the 2 from the boss battle (mission 19) as a costume...would that possibly work?

well yea, i thot of that a LONG time ago but i couldn't get it. i dont' know if the doppelganger has a costume digit or if it just freezes when trying to mod it.

He's not invincible and Yamato is his only weapon. In addition, surprisingly, he can Devil Trigger as well. His Air Trick doesn't get him anywhere though. The Aerial Rave is replaced by an ordinary Starfall. For the most part, Restricted Vergil has no audio files on him, just the footsteps. The files only activate on Mission 19.

He can't use Summoned Swords as the Yamato is also assigned to the firearm/Square button and the Upper Slash combo is automatic

it's the Vergil that helps you during MIssion 19 when you battle that giant guy.

This may be a necropost but u dont need a cheat device for this..

Hold R1 + R2 + L1 + L2 + D-pad Up/Left + Left Analog-stick Down/Right

That gets you everyting. Just hold that down and you'll here something say "devil may cry" The costumes are insane. For dante the last costume is infinite devil trigger and makes him look like sparda. use L1 and R1 to file through costumes when you are on that select mission screen. (with demo digest and all that other stuff.) Just try out the costumes and see there effects. Most notably there is the last costume choice for either dante or vergil (vergil is also unlocked in this code as well) which is amazing. Anyways use this cheat and you are set. Although you can use a device as well if you want.
