Depends on what you want to hack. For some codes, you just need the games .ELF (can be easily found on ths disc). For others, you'll need one, two or more game dumps (the data of the game being "dumped" into one file). Trust me, hacking is hard, and you'll need some experience hacking easier systems before PS2 will be accessable to you. Try GBA hacking first (search this forum for "Hacking Tutorial" an it'll show you how to hack GBA games).

You have to get it yourself. To get the .ELF, put your disc into your DVD drive and find a .ELF file (it could be something else, but its usually .ELF). Then drag and drop the file into the PS2DIS window. Same thing with game dumps which you make yourself with a dump code (using a Codebreaker, GameShark, or ARMax). Each game has its own individual dump code which I have no idea how to get. Ask one of the coders for dump codes.

You can use either a dump or a .ELF to hack, but you need at least one of them.

i see a bunch of different type of mips symbols and other stuff it's just i cant
see what they exactly do.

put it on mediafire
SLES, SLUS, SCES, SCUS, SCPS, SLPS, PBPX, etc = ELF
look at them in any hex editor and you'll see it

this will corrupt your save so be sure to make a copy of your save file

I have very little experience with dump codes, but yes, convert it to ARMax. But, you'll need a way to move it from the memory card to a flash drive (the ARMax can't do that because the dumped file is read as being corrupt). I recommend buying a CodeBreaker.

I really can't be much help with this. All I know is that 1. a CodeBreaker would help and 2. you would need to request someone to make the dump for you to get it off the internet. Ask Carey about dump codes.

@ josephace: I know how to move dumps to flash drives when you have AR Max, I use that method myself.

In that case, what exactly could you do with one if you can't disassemble the game?

i used the dump code it said save failed but when i looked on my memory card it had a 7mb! save,i used the new ar max and i guess you can put it on your memory card because i now have it on my computer.

so basicly im asking:
how do i view its values?or open,what ever u say to read the codes.

dumps turn your save file into corrupted data. that corrupted data is the dump. ARMAX to the best of my knowledge will not allow corrupted data to be transfered to a pen drive. a explot such as Ulaunch ELF can fix that

yes, depending on how much of the game you dumped there will be more labels than the ELF file (this varies between certain games)
