I agree with Sephiroth 163 alot on this one you guys. The reason he did was not only to save the world and the princesses but for his love for Kairi. I also agree on the fact it must of been hard being only 14 at the time and he had to make a life or death situation or the lives of the others, but take into consideration all the stuff that he has been through up to that point in the game. Sora must of changed somehow, i mean come on he was in fights unimaginable, so he would have to risk his life no matter what, but he wasnt "Killing himself" either just sacrificing his heart to free the others trapped in him. Anyway, Sora is still alive and kickin so far that we know of, and thats fine with me...XD.

when i saw him stab himself i was like *gasp!* it was (to me at least) so random and unexpected, especially since they actually showed it (being a rated e game and all) and i was horrified and freaking out. but then you're suddenly a Shadow and when i started running and jumping around, my sadness was kinda interrupted because the way you move was somehow very funny to me. i knew that i was supposed to be sad, but i was laughing my head off going, "lookie, i'm a flea! a fleeeeeeeeea!" in a really high-pitched voice. :D
i cried at the ending of KH2. the fuzziness was just too much. i also cried when sora was leaving T-town and a tear rolled down his face. i'm such a sap.

The reason he makes such a lousy heartless is because he doesn't have a lot of darkness in his heart. That's my theory anyway.
I think the more darkness you have in your heart, the stronger the heartless becomes. Kairi has none, so she doesn't even turn heartless even after loosing her heart.

I think you have a really good theory, but I have to quote what Leon said: "There is darkness within every heart." The reason Kairi DIDN'T become a Heartless is because she didn't release her heart to darkness. Instead she released her heart to Sora.

Sora is alive and he is not a Heartless anymore and I hate him so much I wish he would just die. I hate Roxas and Riku more because they're total retards. Sora was such a jerkface in KH2. I don't know why people like him there. He may be slightly cuter, but he is also slightly more of a jerk. I like fourteen-year-old Sora a little more (and by a little more I mean I hate him a little less). But he was insane when he stabbed himself. I didn't really feel all that sad when he stabbed himself. I didn't realize keyblades could do actual physical damage. :rolleyes: Have you noticed that whenever something's "slashed" by the keyblade, there doesn't seem to be any wound? Not even a light streaky thing to indicate where it hit? Not only with Heartless, but with people too. (i.e. Roxas, confrontation in TWTNW) I did start crying a bit when Kairi wakes up and tries to catch him. That was a tear-jerker.

Well, I'm not sure if this little bit was resolved or not, but the reason Kairi didn't turn into a heartless was becuase she was a Princess of Heart. Princesses of Heart are the only exception to what Leon said about everyone having darkness in their heart.

So this brings up another question- All of the princesses of heart lost their heart at one point in time, correct?

Namine isn't like other nobodies becuase she doesn't and never has had a heartless. That is how she is so different and has all the abilities that she does.

So wouldn't all of the princesses of heart have special nobodies?

I don't know. I'm just someone who always visits the speculation forum looking for a new place to speculate. XD

Sora is my favorite character in the game. (Besides Riku, of course) I don't really think he is selfish at all- Especially when he's got his big greater purpose mission thing and he takes all of that time to help other worlds out with their little...problem type things.

If you had read the ansem reports , you'd see that when the heart leaves the body and the soul remain.So Sora wasn't really ''dead'' he just left his heart for a while :P.At that moment roxas was born ( and i think that's what birth by sleep means!)And (duh!) he sacrifised his heart to save kairi because he really likes her you know!!!I think that's really obvious...
