Please help. For 2 or 3 years, my start bar has been gone. NOT HIDDEN, but GONE! It just vanished one day out of nowhere. I've tried stuff like entering explorer.exe in the Windows Task Manager and CTRL + ESC but none of them work. Someone PLEASE help me :crashcomp:

Hard to explain, but if you bring your cursor to the top edge of your start bar, hold the left-click and drag it downward, you can collapse the start bar altogether.

Bring your cursor as far to the bottom of your screen as possible, then hold the left-click and try dragging your mouse upward.

Im guessing since its been that long you have restarted your computer....>.<

Well, my computer is a vista but it might work.
Go to your start button by clicking the...Start button on your key board and go to options, then pick customise and tool bar.
Sometime you can accidently push a button that makes it dissapear

I think it depends from the type of the computer. For me it works with F11

I have Windows XP. What kind of computer does f11 work for?

Oh, I've found another chance:
Try to go on Control Panel, Bar of the applications and menu of start (I think it's this the name in english), and there try to change something, now I don't know exactly what's the problem so I can't help u here srry.
But try there:D

Try these solutions:

Press CRTL+ESC.
2.If the Start menu appears, right-click the Start menu, and then click Properties.
3.Click the Taskbar tab, clear the Auto-hide the taskbar check box, and then click OK.

2. right click>display properties>settings, then make the screen area smaller

If CTRL+ESC didn't make it come back, then the program that displays the task bar most likely isn't running. That program is often called the "Windows Shell", but it's really "explorer.exe". It's the program that not only displays the Taskbar, but also responds to the CTRL+ESC sequence.
The workaround: press CTRL+ALT+DEL to fire up the task manager. Now on the File menu, select New Task (Run...). Type in "explorer" and press OK. That should restart explorer and re-display your taskbar.

Do as Neku suggested.

CTRL+ESC always is going to bring up your Start Menu. If that for some reason does not work, try the Windows Key. Next, go to Control Panel -> Taskbar and Start Menu ->
Then, undo the 'lock task bar' and hit ok...leave that and go to the bottom of your screen with your mouse and drag it up to where you want it and then go back to the same section and check the box with lock the taskbar and you should be good to go.

Also restarting your computer back to a few hours ago can also bring it back

Ctrl + Alt + Delete goes to Task Manager, got to Processes or Services and delete all Rundl32 files.

That's what I did for mine.

EDIT: Crap, Neku beat me to it. Yeah, follow Neku's advice, he pretty much hit the spot.

that should always be used as a VERY last ditch resort for anything. It's not the smartest move to make Shiki <3

I'm going to go ahead and lock this since the answer is provided and now it is starting to become spammish. Hopefully the suggestions work for you. If not, feel free to PM me or open a new thread on your troubles with it.
