L's Academy: Change the WorLd

Hey, guess what! You've just recieved a scholarsip to a new university that opened in Japan! It's supposed to be a school for the gifted, but when you arrive you are greeted by none other than L himself! Once settled, you are quick to realise that every teacher is actually a Death Note character, including Light Yagami himself, though he has lost his memories of being Kira (in short, the likeable Light from when Ryuk takes the Death Note). However, not all is safe in L's academy. A nameless Shinigami has dropped a Death Note there. When this is picked up by a students, it becomes a race against time to discover these new Kiras before the world is once again in danger. Worst of all, Light could regain his memories.

(Note: Sorry if this is too similar to Return of Kira. I just had this idea kicking around in my head, so I went for it)

Every Death Note character is available to be played, though we need at least 2 students. I play my OC and any canon characters that are not yet filled. I'm not confident with canon personalities, so... yeah... I don't want this to suck.

If you are a character with a Death Note, you may only kill another character if you abide by these rules.

1. Your character must have somehow found out their name.
2. The person playing that character must come to some agreement with you (i.e. delaying the death, dramatic death etc...) The circumstances of this agreement may cause Rule 3 to become invalid (i.e. accidental death)
3. Must speak to the character immediately prior to the death in a similar manner to what Light did with Naomi, L and Near (at least, tried to with Near ). You know, "I'm Kira, and you're dead now, mwuhahahahaha!" except more subtle.
4. Give other characters at least SOME chance to stop you. (i.e. interrupt you when you're about to write their name, switch your Death Note for a fake like Near did or soemthing along those lines).

Apart from that, feel free to kill random people not played by anyone. (If they're unfilled canon characters i.e. those played by me, discuss with me as if I officially played them)

Appearance: A gangly teenager that looks a lot older than he really is with brown hair and blue eyes. He usually wears a hoodie and jeans.
Backstory: Grew up as a more or less average kid in the first part of his life. His mother died in childbirth while giving birth to his brother. Marcus was two at the time. His father got involved with the dark side of the world after that and one day Marcus discovered his father's name and picture on the news for a murder. Mere hours later, Marcus discovered that his father had been killed by Kira. He and his little brother were taken to different orphanages. Marcus eventually found foster parents and in time managed to win the scholarship to L's academy. Marcus promised that once he graduated, he'd use his new skills to track down his little brother.
Personality quirks: Likes video games almost to the point of obsession, hence the codename Snake (taken from Solid Snake, star of the Metal Gear Solid series). When explaining theories he tends to use video games as explaination and spends most of his free time gaming.

Backstory: Her father is Japanese but her mother is an American. Through out school she was picked on for being half American in an all Japanese school. Which made her into a rebel

Real Name: Lana Lawliet
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Appearance: Just under 5 feet tall, long perfectly curled black hair. Always keeps her lower arms covered with either sleeves or some form of arm warmers. Her preference being her favourite black and white striped ones with ‘corset’ style lacing down the sides. The rest of her clothes tend to be feminine but also very gothic. Luna is also skinny to the point of being able to see nearly all her ribs.
Back story: She grew up in a rather run down orphanage / children’s home in Kent, England where she was despised by the other children and often ignored completely by the adults. The name similarity between her and L is no coincidence, she is in fact a relative of him. Though it’s so distant that neither of them know nor would either care. She completed the English Education system by the time she was 13 and finished her first course at Oxford university the year before she came to Japan. She is fluent in Japanese and German as well as her first language of English thanks to her speed at picking up languages.
Personality quirks: Luna spends most of her spare time with either a ‘classic’ book such as ‘Jayne Eyre’ or a shounen-ai Manga such as ‘Loveless’ Either way it’s very rare to see her minus a book of some sort. She also has a tendency to sit on the floor whenever possible. Normally in a very childlike manner. Being insanely accident prone and a rather large jinx is also another issue Luna faces.

Appearance: Long, straight dark brown hair and dark blue eyes, but her eyes change colors. 5'3", and always wears loose grey or blue jeans and some long sleeved shirt or sweatshirt.
Backstory: She lived in America before getting the scholarship for this new school, although most of her teachers and peers were shocked to hear that she was accepted into the school. She had never gotten great grades, although her test scores were amazing. She was made fun of by some fellow students, though she ignored them, and really only spoke when answering a question from a teacher or when around her close friends. This was not because she was shy, but because she had nothing to say.
Personality Quirks: Diary usually never sits normally, she sits with either one or both feet on the chair she is sitting on. Easily amused, she can use anything to ease boredom. She draws often, especially during class, but this doesn't mean she's not listening. She is also totally addicted to ice cream. xD

Appearance: Moderate-length brown hair, 5'11", moderate build, typically wears at least one headphone.
Back story: He never much liked socializing in his old school, but at L's Academy, he can more easily socialize because of the presence of others of his intelligence. He has a serious personality when he is working, and occasionally when he isn't. He is almost constantly listening to music mainly because it stimulates his mind. He is extremely interested in the supernatural, yet somewhat skeptical to believe in it.

Backstory: Morgan or vincent as you know him has always been a very laid back guy, he rarely made any effort of any sort to make any friends or even get a girlfriend. his parents are now divorced and force him to visit the other spouse every other month. was kicked out of every private and public school in both areas because of a recent string of failing grades.
Personality Quirks: is really quiet smart but really a very lazy person. hates any couple who swear to love eachother forever.

Appearance: Medium blonde hair, roughly 6"4, almost always wears long brown clothing (including a brown scarf) and has cyan coloured eyes.
Backstory: Denithan, or Dein as he prefers to be called, grew up without parents. His sister disapeared shortly after starting school, however, he has consistently been getting letters from her since. Dein knows very little about himself, and is often confused, relaying the phrase 'i don't know' consistently. From first glance, most'd say Dein has a depression issue, when really he just thinks alot.
Personality Quirks:Though surprisingly smart, even for his age and university, he thinks for too much, rarely shows emotion, and almost always figure out how something is his own fault. All in all he kinda does have a depression issue...

Apperance: Long, red hair makes her pale skin glow, and her emerald eyes reflect her love for nature. She normally wears an open, hooded denim jacket over a tee. She also normally wears jeans or jean shorts and a hat (The best I can describe is Shiki's hat from TWEWY :P)
Backstory: Flare, or Eri Flanning, is a shy teen, but she had a lot of friends. One night, while she was at a friend's house, she got a call and found out that her parents had been killed by Kira. Her dad was a devoted police man who was determined to quit his job and go after Kira. His name was Richard Flenning. Her mother, Whitney Flenning, was soon involved with Kira, even though she had no detective experience at all. Eri was sure that her mother had gone too far and that's why she was killed. After that, she wanted to be a detective and get revenge on Kira. She was introduced to this school at 13, her current age.
Personality Quircks: She is shy and sometimes unresponsive when she is upset. She can also find a way to blame herself for everything.

Well, looks like we have the four pivotal canon characters and a nice group of OC's. Let's begin! BTW, this Light doesn't have his Kira memories i.e. the likable Light.

Marcus got out of the car. His foster mother had decided to drop him off at the new school. Marcus hardly felt comfortable with the new place. All he'd really heard between getting the scholarship and coming was that the principal was some kind of super-detective. Marcus' foster mother was talking, but he wasn't really paying attention. He looked up at the arch that stood over the school gates. L's Academy: Change the WorLd.

"Who's this L guy?" Marcus said to himself. His foster mother gasped.

"Not the L, surely!" she said to herself, "He's the greatest detective in the entire world!" She was a policewoman, so she had heard about him. "He's solved every case he's taken on."

The greatest detective in the world, huh? Marcus thought, If he's so good then how come he hasn't caught Kira? Then again, maybe he could teach me how...

Marcus waved goodbye to his foster mother, turning back to the gates as the sound of the car engine faded off into the distance. The school gates slowly opened and Marcus shouldered his bag. A figure stepped out to meet him.

"Greetings, and welcome to the academy," the old man said, "My name is Watari."

"Hi," Marcus replied, slightly nervously. Watari nodded to him.

"If you don't mind, there are still a few students to arrive yet. When they have gathered I will take you all to meet Master L," Watari explained. Marcus nodded, dropping his bag next to the wall and sitting down. He reached in and pulled out his PSP. Just as he was loading Crisis Core, Watari spoke again.

"Just a little rule we have here," Watari said, "No names. We refer to each other by an alias. I advise that you do not diviulge your real name to the other students."

"Why?" Marcus asked, Crisis Core momentarily forgotten.

"Names are dangerous things," was all Watari said in reply.

Eri Flenning, or Flare, was dropped off at the school by her friend's mother, who had taken the role of mother for her. She waved to the closing car door and stepped towards the school. She had mixed feelings about coming to this school. Her educational life had been affected for the worse after the deaths of her mother and father, and here she could build her education back up. She had always been smart, so it wasn't all that bad of a decrease in educational performance.

Flare looked around. She must have been early. Only one other person was there besides an old man.
Light Yagami hurried through the halls so he could greet the students alongside L.

Matt sat in his chair while smoking and playing a handheld game with his feet up on his desk and leaning back in the chair. "This is going to be a drag..." He muttered to himself, hoping that students were late.

Watari repeated his warning about names. Marcus found the whole idea awkward. What sort of name was he supposed to think up? Maybe... Snake. Yeah, that's it. He liked Metal Gear Solid, why not be named after the main character. It would still be awkward, though.

Marcus - or rather, Snake - raised a hand in greeting to the newcomer.

Morgan (known as vincent) arrived at the school several hours late in a pickup truck with his dark red old rusty car trailing behind it. as morgan got out of the car he looked to the driver/
"what do i owe you" he asked not really listening for an anwser"
after several minutes of random chatter with the driver morgan got bored handed the driver what he owed and told him to drop the car there.
as morgan unloaded his car he started to mutter to himself
"man why did i even agree to coming here, i mean this place already looks like it has nothing to do besides school work, and im not even sure why im here in the first place i mean im not even really that smart"
as morgan continued to complain he started to take his bags inside to look for his room.

Matt's cigratte burned out so he threw it off to the side before getting up and walking around, playing his sp still

morgan began to set his stuff down again as he turned to matt

morgan began to smile he wanted a fight so badly so he would get kicked out and sent to a school that didnt have such high expectations

it seemed like he had the go ahead so he swung his leg around lightning fast and kicked matts pocket where his SP was hoping to shatter it in the process.

He heard his sp crack after recovering from the hit. "That was my favorite thing too..." He said before pushing the guy to the ground. "You really must have a death wish."

morgan twisted his legs around matts tripping him, then leapt to his knees and held his elbow to matts back.
"one more peep out of you and i just might have to hurt you badly" morgan said holding back laughter as he got up and held his hand out to matt.

then headed towards the schools founders office in order to meet who he was up against when he tried to get kicked out

L began to get bored as he ran out of tea so he began to eat strawberries

disgusted morgan reached into his backpack and took out a half eaten chocolate bar and threw it towards L
"listen im late and where am i staying? or better yet why am i here at all?" he asked rudely

He caught the bar without looking and stared at the bite marks. "Didn't you read the invitation?"

morgan sighed
"readign would take time and effort, both of which i have none or very little of, so as soon as you are finished with your litle snack you can expell me and neither of us will have to deal with the other"

"If you do not wish to be here then why did you come in the first place?" He asked and began to eat the bar

morgan looked away and stared into space and after around five minutes he said slowly
"...i was forced to..no one really wants me and why should they. so really just do yourself a favor and just get rid of me"

"No wants you...That is rather sad I must say but people here can relate. Why would want to go back?"

"If you want to leave then there's nothing stopping you. Just let Watari make sure you get home safely then." He said after seeing there was no point in talking him out of leaving...but maybe something could happen

Mihael Keehl aka Mello was sitting around outside the school bulidings on a low rockery wall. Carfully he brushed aside his long, well groomed, golden blonde hair as the wind ruffled it gentley. The other hand of course holding a half eaten bar of dark chocolate to his mouth.

He had tossed his broken sp on his bed and went outside to smoke. When he lit the cigratte he noticed Mello ."Hey."

"Hey." Mello replied, with a casual flick of his wrist in place of a wave. His chocolate hanging loosly from his mouth as he used both of his hands to push him self of his perch. "Kidlets are finnally arriving then?"

"Yep. Just had a fight with a new one."

"You win?" Mello asked with a small smirk. "You know, some of the older girls better be hot or this is going to absolutely suck."

"He wanted to get kicked out but seeing as I didn't run to tell anyone he gave up. Broke my sp though....Yeah. It would."

"Sounds like the guy's a right prick. And I bet you anything either no girls or one or two that look like future libreians."

"Explosions are very, very good." Mello grinned, the lack of scaring on his face evidence enough that he had not experienced yet the rath of the front of a large explosion.

Snake looked up from playing Crisis Core. He paused the Sephiroth boss battle and looked around. Light - or Mr. Yagami, whatever they had to call him - still wasn't there.

Snake spotted something in the air. It was a black dot, harsh against the steel-gray, overcast sky. Snake's eyes tracked it as it fell softly to earth, just beyond the walls of the academy. Snake asked Watari where the bathrooms were. The old man gave him vague directions and left it at that. Snake moved in the indicated direction until he was out of sight, glancing over his shoulder furtively. He reached where the object had fallen.

It was a notebook. It was jet black with nothing but a stark white title on the cover. Death Note. Curious, Snake opened the notebook. The inside cover contained white writing.

"How to use," Snake read softly, "The human whose name is written in this notebook... shall die?"

Snake shook his head, "Probably some wierd emo kid who lives here." He dropped the notebook where it had fallen and turned to walk back to the school gates. Realizing too late that he had taken a wrong turn, he almost walked into a threatening figure smoking a ciagrette, talking to a blonde person. Snake started.

"S-sorry," Snake said hurriedly.

OoC: The notebook can stay there as long as anybody wants, that just informs everyone that the notebook is there. Plus, Snake can see whatever Shinigami it belongs to. Curses, I need to make a shinigami for that notebook! Ah screw it, just make it Ryuk's Death Note.

Snake found the snap of chocolate breaking immensely disturbing. Normally, a person eating chocolate would simply be someone who was hungry - or had a sweet tooth. This guy made chocolate-eating seem like assault with menaces.

"H-hi," Snake stuttered, "I'm a new bathroom here, I was going to the student, wait that came out wrong..."

"That sounded...so wrong."

"Yeah." Mello agreed, pulling a rather puzzled expression. The chocolate hanging from the corner of his mouth as he tipped his head slightly. "You alright?"

Appearance: Just under 5 feet tall, long perfectly curled black hair. Always keeps her lower arms covered with either sleeves or some form of arm warmers. Her preference being her favourite black and white striped ones with ‘corset’ style lacing down the sides. The rest of her clothes tend to be feminine but also very gothic. Luna is also skinny to the point of being able to see nearly all her ribs.
Back story: She grew up in a rather run down orphanage / children’s home in Kent, England where she was despised by the other children and often ignored completely by the adults. The name similarity between her and L is no coincidence, she is in fact a relative of him. Though it’s so distant that neither of them know nor would either care. She completed the English Education system by the time she was 13 and finished her first course at Oxford university the year before she came to Japan. She is fluent in Japanese and German as well as her first language of English thanks to her speed at picking up languages.
Personality quirks: Luna spends most of her spare time with either a ‘classic’ book such as ‘Jayne Eyre’ or a shounen-ai Manga such as ‘Loveless’ Either way it’s very rare to see her minus a book of some sort. She also has a tendency to sit on the floor whenever possible. Normally in a very childlike manner. Being insanely accident prone and a rather large jinx is also another issue Luna faces.

IC:Light was on his way to the school gates to meet the new students when he came across a curious scene. A student he had never seen before was talking nervously to Mello and Matt, the former occupying himself with his usual agressive assault on chocolate.

"Mello? Matt? Who's this?" Light asked.

"I'm afraid we can't say. He hasn't actually introduced himself yet." Mello replied, glacing casually over at Light as he took another antagonistic bite of his chocolate. "All he's done so far is jumble his words and act like he's about to sh*t his pants, I already told him Matt had his rabies shot for this year anyway so he shouldn't have too much to worry about." He grinned deviously. Obviously enjoying the dark satisfaction he was gaining from the fear even the most innocent of moves, such as taking a bite from a bar of chocolate, instilled in the newbie. "So, new kid, you have a name or an alias or whatever it is people call you that isn't 'Oi you'?" Mello asked, his almost dead and darkly sharp eyes turning snapping back to Snake with an almost pyschotic dexterity.

"Are you Mr. Yagami?" Snake asked the brown-haired teenager that had just arrived.

"Call me Light," Light replied, "I supposed you're one of the students here?"

Snake nodded. Taken two steps and he'd already seen an emo notebook and met a chain-smoker and an insane blonde.

"Come with me, I'll take the rest of you to see L," Light said, "So, what's your name?"

"Watari said that we shouldn't give out real names."

"So do you have another name in mind?"

Snake is such a retarded alias, why did I think of it? "No." Save With that, Snake followed Light back towards the school gates.

"So, who were those guys?" Snake asked.

"Mello and Matt?" Light answered, "They don't bite. Though Mello may be behind a few explosions. Matt ususally plays video games and doesn't bother people unless they bother him. He'd likely get you with second-hand smoke before anything else."

"So... this L guy..." Snake continued, as if worried Light would stop answering questions, "Who's L? Is he as good as everyone says he is?"

"Even better," Light replied, "I even worked with him on a few cases. I'm one of the few before he started this academy to know what he looked like."

"So, is he one of those big, stocky detectives that wear coats and solve crimes in the rain?" Snake asked, half-jokingly but also a direct question about his appearance.

Light suppressed a smile and said knowingly, "I don't think he'll look quite the way you expect."

Snake was left alone with that infuriating tidbit as Light had led him back to the gates. Light got everyone's attention.

"Welcome to the academy, new students!" Light announced, "I'm your vice principal Light Yagami and I will answer any of your questions about the school on the way, as I will now take you to see the principal - L."

As Light turned and led the students into the main building, Watari ghosted through the crowd to appear at his shoulder.

"Do you think it wise to divulge your real name?" Watari whispered.

"The odds of another Death Note appearing at this school are astronomical," Light explained quietly, "But since I learned from L never to take chances, I'll psyche profile these kids while they're talking to L. Presuming L does as well, we'd have a solid defense. If any of these students obtained a Death Note, they'd soon realise that just about everyone here uses a false name. Nobdy besides the staff know that I'm using my real name, so as far as they know it's an alias like any other. However, if the bearer of the Death Note were stupid enough to kill me anyway, we'd soon find out who based on the evidence both L and I will obtain today."

"A simple 'yes' would have sufficed," Watari muttered and ghosted away.

OOC- Slight exaggeration for dramatic effect, I think I nailed his basic personallity though.

"Oh, don't bother to say good bye then." Mello muttered under his breath, sitting back down on the wall again. Snapping yet another line of chocolate squares from the bar. "He thinks I'm nuts doesn't he?" He sighed, expecting that he already knew that the answer was that once again he'd come across as an escapee of a local lunatic asylum. It wasn't as though he did it on purpose, he just had a very dominating personallity and his eating style was a far cry from the sweetly childlike fashion of L's.

"I can't see why they'd think that, "sir"." Came a dark yet oddly femmine voice, the voice of a girl at least half a decade Mello's junior. Her long black curls flowing gentley in the breeze, the pastel pink silk of the cameo-style vest and the delicate lace underlayers of her skirt she was wearing also ruffled in the air current. "You don't look at all meancing dressed all in skin-tight leather and hanging around outside the school gates like a juvinale deliquent. Before you ask my name is Luna, and of course that isn't my real name. I ain't that dumb."

"You certainly have a lot of attitude for someone so small." Mello commented coldly. Not taking at all well to the first impression this girl had made. "Over compensating I assume?" He sneered.

"Not that it's really any of your business." She shrugged. "And sir, those trousers are so tight that I can tell you're in no postion to talk about over compensating." Luna smirked vemonously, tossing her hair slightly and walking off into the school grounds.

"Now that, Matt," Mello began, feeling very self-concious, "That is a spitefull little girl."

Flare walked away from Matt and Mello and followed Mello and Light to meet L.

"Right," Light began as the group entered the building, "You'll be sleeping in the dormitories just across the grounds there. Classes start at 9am and continue until 3:30pm. You refer to your teachers as 'sir' or 'miss', or if they so choose, their name. The principal will assign you your rooms and timetables."

I wonder what this L guy looks like, Snake thought. His head shuffled through a large series of mental images. He glanced around the building as Light led them further, checking out the architecture. It looked a bit like an old private school, with carvings and old stonework making it look like some item from a museum rather than a livable space.

Snake started and almost fell over. Staring at him from a perch next to a gargoyle was a hideous creature. Its limbs were ridiculously lanky, giving it the body shape of some sort of deformed monkey. It's head looked like it was sewn on to the rest of it's body, deathly gray flesh ending at it's neck and a row of stitches. It's mouth was twisted in a permenant grin, sharp teeth aplenty. It's bulging red eyes watched him knowingly. Scraggly, black-feathered wings sprouted from its shoulders.

"What's wrong?" Light asked Snake, looking back over his shoulder.

"N-nothing," Snake replied, "I just tripped." The group moved on.

Ryuk stayed on his perch, thinking. The boy had obviously found his Death Note, since he had been able to see him. He didn't appear to have it on him, though, unless he had put it in his bag, which was likely. As Ryuk took off, he remembered what else he'd seen and the familiar voice he'd heard.

Little Light Yagami a teacher, eh? He thought, Wouldn't it be interesting if you got another Death Note?

Ryuk swooped off after the group, This will be so interesting...

as morgan made his way back to his room he walked right past mat and mello and stared them straight in the eyes and continued along his path.
a few moments later when he made it to his room he threw down his shoes and leapt to his bed and took out the strange notebook and threw it on his desk.
"man that thing is so fake it isnt even funny" he thought.
then after a few more moments of doing nothing he sat up looked at it and got off his bed and headed towards his desk reached for a pen opened the notebook and sketched his parents name into it.

"Yeah Mello, very spiteful little girl." Matt chuckled. "A very spiteful little girl who just totally owned you. You may want to concinder shoving a sock or something down there if you don't want her to start commenting on it pretty much constantly." He said jokingly as he took in another breath of the toxic fumes.

"What's this pick on Mello day or summin?" Mello asked moodily, the chocolate now suffering through being nibbled on in the most depressive of manners. He was no longer in the mood to make a rather large show of his chocolate obession. That scrawny little brat of a child had somehow managed to dent his ego really rather deeply.

"Oh cheer up emo kid." Matt sighed, rolling his deep chocolate brown eyes under their goggle casing. "Just do what you normally do when you get p*ssed off."

"Blow sh*t up?" Mello suggested hopefully, like a child who'd just been told they were going out somewhere nice and suggesting the park. They new they were wrong, but it was still nice to have a dream and a hope.

"No Mello, not blowing sh*t up." Matt sighed, he often felt like he was the older one of the pair. He certainly seemed to be the most mature. "Go antagonise Near or go hit on random blondes in a bar or something after hours. That always seems to cheer you up and give that over sized ego of your's a boost."

"Think I'll go with the pissing off Near thing, second one is just gonna land me in deeper trouble with L." Mello decided, jumping off of the wall with an overdramatic finess. "I'm off to find the short-arse. Just look for the toys and the big-headed twit should be around. See ya." He waved casually disappearing back into the school bulidings.

"I'll never understand him, I really won't." Matt chuckled to himself as he sat down in the place that until that point had been occupied by Mello's backside. Throwing the burnt out end of the ciggarette he'd been smoking to the floor and crushing it beneath his feet before looking at his watch, checking to see what the time was. "Got just enough time for another one I think..." He muttered, pulling another from the box he kept in the front pocket of his jacket. Placing the orange fillter end between his lips and lighting it up. He then slid the lighter back into his pocket along with the box and pulled out his DS from his back pocket and began to play along with the Reaper's Game in order to complete the lastest game to fall victim of his gamer's obession. However as a cutscene he'd watched a thousand times because he only just ran out of time every time he attempted it he looked up to gaze around for a moment. His eyes eventually settling on the red-headed girl that was lurking around behind the cowerdly boy Mello had been abusing with chocolate. Wonder how old she is...

after several minutes morgan tried to call both his parents and when neither anwsered he seemed almost relieved and scared at the same time.
after about five more minutes his fathers new girl friend called him and sounded frantic over the phone
when morgan told her to calm down she told him that his dad was dead it was a heart attack and she had just found him.
after hearing the news morgan hung up and smiled "how ironic" he muttered almost happy about his fathers death.

IC: Light stopped in the second-floor corridor. To their left was a plain wooden door with a distorted glass pane set in the top that let them see the vague outline of the room inside but nothing else. Painted on the pane were the words "Principal L/Ryuzaki".

Well well well, if it isn't L, Ryuk thought.

"The principal is just through here," Light told the group, "L will speak to you now."

What would he be like, Snake wondered. Light turned the handle, the door slowly creaking open. Sitting behind the principal's desk was...

Nothing?

"Ryuzaki," Light said, "Why are you on the couch when the kids are supposed to see you?"

Snake heard the rustling of this L - or Ryuzaki - guy sitting up on the couch. The piece of furniture was currently out of sight.

"Go on, Ryuzaki doesn't bite," Light encouraged. He shephearded the group in. And finally, Snake laid eyes on the legendary L, the greatest detective in the world, a pure genius...

after what seemed like an hour morgans phone rang again this time it was his mothers new husband telling his mother died. morgan now fully believed that this note book was for real and began to laugh.
"this...this is what ive been waiting for" he thought as he hid it under his bed

Flare was taken aback at the appearance of the famous detective. Baggy eyes, a large white t shirt, jeans and no shoes gave him the appearance of a person with a very bad cold who was supposed to be in bed. Still, she could believe that he was L. Also, she could admire him.

She was hesitant, and then moved forward to greet L. She was the only one who dared to move at that moment.

So that's L then... Funnily enough, I'm not surprised that he looks like that. It's not as if he ever worries about having to meet clients. It's only logical that in time his need to look good, the obbession that even I myself am guilty of, is something that would of almost completly detiorated. Though I must say that the introduction is remarklabley well done. First thing you see when you enter the room. Great use of shock impact to inspire awe, However when you think about it does seem that Mr Yagami or Light or whatever his name is was rather surprised by Ryuzaki's position. Leading to the conclusion that... Lana continued to think, her almost black eyes of darkest green staring blankly at L from under her long overly styled fringe. The intesity of the glare one to rival L's own concentrated stare that made one feel as though the eyes were drill into your mind and soul. Into the very essance of your being and having a good look around as he asessed your character. It was the most unnerving of sensation for even the two boys on either side of her as they slowly backed away, and the watch wasn't even directed at that.

So, this is...L? Dein thought raising an eyebrow at whom was apparently L, and then taking a step away from the girl beside him as he realised how intensly she was gazing at this man.

Flare blinked and looked away from L. She was self conscious, and felt that she didn't have the right to be greeted by him. Before he could greet her, she took a step back.

morgan looked at his watch and realised that he was extremly late for the introduction ceremony.
he looked at his watch, then where he had hid the note, then the door, and finally got up and walked out the door and snuck towards the back of the group

"I am on the couch because I find it better then the chair. It's more comfortble in my thoughts... Is it really that bad to make myself comforable?" He asked.


So this is L....seems a bit childish. Jensis thought to herself as she looked around the room.


Near had been in a random room with a couch, table and a chair. He had sat on the floor like normal and just put together one of his white puzzles

"You knew that today there were going to be new students here," Light said, "They might have believed that you're the principal a little more if you'd been at the desk."

Then again, probably not. As usual, personal hygiene seemed to have slipped L's mind. Plus, they might not have taken L seriously had they seen the weird way he sits...

The moment Snake saw L he was struck with a feeling of disappointment. If L was such a good detective, couldn't he have traced where the soap had last been? Was a shower and a change of clothes in the 'missing persons' folder? This man looked like someone that they'd pulled off the street.

But why would they try to fool us into believing that this is the real principal? Snake wondered, Unless... unless this is a test! They might be testing us to see if we can figure out that this is a fake. If we were normal, trusting kids we'd probably believe him.

Little did Snake know that Light was thinking similar thoughts. If these kids are smart enough, they should be suspecting that L isn't really the principal. OoC: A little brain teaster for you there. I think the key to writing smart characters is to put a long time into thinking of a solution to a problem and them shortening the time that the character takes to solve that problem.

Morgan reached his room and reached into some of his luggage and pulled out several year books from previous schools and began to look through them. He left them all open and walked over and grabbed his hidden note and oppened it and began writing numerous names into it, as memories of girls who had left him for "better offers" or had just used him to get to somebody else.
After several minutes morgan sighed and looked at all the names he had written, all those girls and all those guys they had left him for. Morgan began to laugh and laugh as he threw the death note at his door and let it sit there for a few minutes before getting up and throwing it into his luggage along with his year books.

Mello casually walked into L's office, dropping down into his most comfortable postion on one of the chairs at the back of the room opposing L's desk staring judgingly at the three kids in the room. Slowly he drew a bar of plain, dark chocolate from his pocket, unwrapping it and taking a large bite from it. With a huge shattering snap as the row of squares was torn from the rest of the bar. "Yagami, L." He nodded. "And children, teenagers. Students or whatever."

Just looked at the bar of chocolate Mello took out, he thought to himself OK, I know this one. This guy has to be Mello. But I better ask instead of just assuming. Don't want to embarrass myself again.

Just looked at Mello and politely said, "Are you the Mr. Mello that I've heard about?"
