laptop mic problem

Ok i have a toshiba sattilite and everywhere i plug my mic in it wont work so i have no clue what to do anyone know?

Have you tried to clean the plugs?

Also, do you have any other computers? If so, then try and see if it is just the lappy.

Make sure you match the colors up right. I think mic plugs are usually pink/red?
Anyway, if you still have problems, you can look at the owner's manual for both and if it still doesn't work, you could always take it to Best Buy and have them look at it.
