No, I don't. I use Vegas for some simplistic editing. I actually use After Effects and Premiere more than Vegas.

It would be a month long competition, due on the last day of september. Basically it would be a story/ poem/ fan fic/ whatever you choose.

Length of your choosing, no set word length.

Everyone will be given a set scenario, or sentence and you are aloud to take that in which ever direction you desire on the first of September.

I'll add that to the front page, anyone in the family can join in at any point before the deadline... And the theme shall be... Meh I'll start with a cliche: Reunion. That can be lovers, friends, pets and owners or anything else like that. Doesn't have to be a happy one either, just so long as two or more people who haven't seen each other in a while see each other again. That sound good?

the person would be whipping up so many things in a novella, but in lyrics and poems just a bit of rhymes.

i say we either separate the shorter things from the most elaborate ones, and make a contest out of that.

Um....the reason I was choosing was because I won't be participating and I thought you wanted in Demi.

The word length was examples of the average novella or short story, you guys can write however long of one you want.

Demi, I veto Reunion for the record.

Judging:

word use and spelling:1-10 (do you repeat words, is your grammar accurate, puntuaction, etc.)

Creativity: 1-10 (is there a spark that kindles this story and engages the reader, or is it bland and unwelcoming?)

context: 1-20 (Is the topic/character/image encorperated in your work, does it work well, was this a good medium for the writer and the topic)

plot (story) / flow (poems, music) 1-10 pretty self explanatory.

So everything is based on 50 points.

This can be played with as we go along.

I respect that, what I'm saying is that the reason there is no cubject is because I'm thinking of a prompt. In my experience, if everybody funds out when it opens, it gives them better brainstorming and the sort.

i suggest we take this to the directive, for better preparation.

everything requires order, and i say you post in the front page that the choosing of the theme will be chosen, on a certain date and a certain time, PM all the members.

so they present themselves to bring ideas and suggestions, and the theme chosen , at least today,or tomorrow. so nobody starts writting , and gets an unfair advantage.

im sure that if we do that, there will be no reason to complain from anyone, because it was given a choosing date and time, so if they missed it, it would be their own fault.

But I'm kind of lost... Is everyone still picking the theme?

Me choosing a set 'theme' was down to that being how the Artistic Family works. We're given a very vague theme and we work from that. I'm not saying make it A reunion. I'm saying you can make it ABOUT aka someone wishing for one, someone whose had one they don't want etc etc. Anything that's loosely connected to that.

Now, I'm saying that if no one comes up with anything else that the family thinks is better by twenty-four hours from the time of this post it's staying as it is because we need the month to write it and we can't change it after a said time because that just isn't fair. So basicly: You have fourteen hours to say something bette, NOT whine about the current one by saying "It shouldn't be that" I don't want whinge, I want suggestions.

I've taken on an already dying family and I have to deal with it, basicly I feel like the freakin' Weimar Republic after WWI. Yes I could prob'ley try and be more active beut because of my timezone I'm never on when you lot are and I sure as hell am not staying up to 2am on school nights, f*ck that. '>>

And I used to post here everyday, but I soon gave up on that because nine times out of ten either it was some stupid post saying what someone was working on and I had no questions about because it didn't appeal to me or no one had damn well posted. So I just gave up for a while since I was going through a rather surreal time where everything stupid made sense and everything reasonable was stupid.

I AM trying to rebulid this family, but it takes more then just me to do it. I need the help of everyone in this family. And that doesn't mean people saying "omgurdoinitrong!" which seems to be all the help I'm getting right now. We just need to go back to posting random crap that is fun rather then pushing the "Writer" aspect which is what everyone is doing.

Try being randomer in your posts, ask the family for help on situations at school, home or even just asking for help with homework. That's what families are for really. Playing around and helping each other out. Occasionally the conversation will get more serious of course, but by and large it's ment to be a bit of mindless fun.

So will you lot stop being so serious, all we've spoken about is how the family is dying. Well then help it not to die by posting other things for god's sake ><

I am so close to just giving up because having you lot whine and moan and have goes at me is starting to drive me insane with all the other pressures I have right now.

i must say....it isn't what you read everyday.

except it felt like reading bleach.

and it feels very dialouge driven, maybe too much.

i felt like it lacked descriptiveness.

but its certainly a varient style, i can hope to incorporate sometime in my stories.
