Hey all! There are the rules for the entire Discussion area here, but I thought I would highlight on this area since somethings are specific to the Forum Events/Holidays section. This won't just be about rules, but also on how the area works, so we are all clear and no one thinks their thread was closed wrongfully.

1. There is a Birthday thread that is stickied. Anyone is welcome to announce his/her birthday there and members are, of course, welcome to wish those people a Happy B-day. One thing though, please remember to post at least 6 words there, just as you are required to around the entire Discussion Area.

2. Please only make one thread per holiday as it comes up. For example, if someone makes a Halloween thread for October, do not make duplicate threads. Go ahead and post in the one already made. The same for Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.

3. A couple/few weeks after the holiday has passed, the thread that was made may be locked. If this is too early for members who still wish to discuss on the topic, please feel free to PM a member of staff to re-open it and we'll be happy to do so.

4. You are able to post Happy B-day threads to others if you wish to but no more than one thread should be posted to that one member so whoever makes it first, anyone else should just post in that thread. Birthday threads will be closed a week or two after the birthday to ensure members had time to notice and respond.

And that would be all for this section that needed to be pointed out. Of course, we should make sure we are courteous to others and even if you don't celebrate the holiday or if you don't like someone much, don't flame or ruin a thread for others.
