As an SEC boy. I hope it's UGA or Bama. Three years in a row a different teams from same conference winning the BCS.

MWC guy right here.
Utah, TCU and BYU are considered the bcs ranking busters because the MWC is never given it's just due

MWC is a decent conference but be honest.... If Utah was in the SEC how many wins would they have?

As a Kentucky fan. I agree. I don't think anybody would. LSU had 2 losses last year and they won the BCS.

Naw... Bama almost lost to Ole Miss and they don't have to play a ranked team every week like Texas has. Another big game tonight for Texas playing Texas Tech who is also undefeated this year.

<--- Michigan State fan, who beat Wisconsin today.

Minnesota lost to Northwestern, so they'll be knocked out. Tulsa I think lost, Flordia state is about to lose to GA Tech... so the top 25 will shift a bit this week.

Penn State is still undefeated... but I don't think they're the best team out there after watching them play Ohio State last week.

John Clay Rice

That's because Ole Miss can play in the SEC. They beat Florida.

Exactly... like USC, even though they only lost one game they still kill everyone they have played.

Right now Tex Tech is beating Texas... hmmm.

Coming from a MWC standpoint, i don't get why BYU is 16th. Sure they are 8-1, but if you go back and look at some of their recent games, they've been playing bad. The only reason I humored the fact that they were ranked in the top ten was because of their back to back shut outs and Max Hall's career TD reception game.

This is my main problem with the BCS: why teams that have one loss or two are still sitting pretty in the top twenty. Granted, I don't know their schedules or the sort, but I still think that the teams that are undefeated should be in the top ten or top however. For some of these schools, the biggest thing that they have going for them is the fact that they are winning, and to see another team with 2 losses in front of them which could make the difference when it comes to the Bowls....I don't get it.

Either way, i'm nervous for the TCU vs Utah game this thursday. Utah hasn't been able to figure out a definite set defense and this is going to be their make or break game.

Utah wins in the last minute 13-10. This means that they are highly likely to be invited to a BCS game, possibly the Fiesta Bowl. TCU will drop probably out of the top twenty, but they are now in contention with BYU to see who gets the nod for the Las Vegas Bowl.

I agree about BYU... and Ball State shouldn't be that high either, it's a freakin MAC team... the hardest team they'll ever play is Central Michigan.

Penn State will most likely finish undefeated unless Michigan State finds a way to upset them, but I don't see it happening. State usually plays a very conservative game to win but against Penn State they'll have to put some points on the board early.

Flordia deserves that spot at #5, and how the hell is Boise State still undefeated? lol

Well lets see what happens tommorow.

I have to say, the TCU vs Utah game was damn sheer luck for Utah. 2 missed field goals with in thirty yards for TCU and Brian Johnson's 80 yard drive to put Utah over by three with a minute to go....amazing 4th quarter.

BYU...I would like to hear your thought process with this. If you are saying this because they have less losses than a number of teams, then I would argue the point that Utah should be third and Boise State should be fourth.

I think Utah shouldn't be ahead of Texas Tech, Utah hasn't beaten a good opponent by more than a few points, and Texas Tech has beaten texas, so maybe TT should be higher, and probably penn state as well...I could be wrong though...

Alabama vs Utah in the Sugar Bowl, anyone that tells me that Alabama will walk over Utah and show the BCS that they did it wrong are in for a strong suprise. Utah has a strong Defense, and being told that they will lose will only give them strength.

I still think that neither of these two should be in it, but if i had to pick i'd choose Florida because of Urban Meyer.
