Is there any difference between the KH2 Novel and Manga?(Ex: plot, characters, fights, etc.)

I wanna know because I'm thinking of buying the novel but I don't wanna buy it if it's just several chapters of the manga in one book.

well i bought volume 2 at a book fair (i didn't read volume 1 did the same thing with a 77 chapter book i have a bad habit of never reading the first volume of a book) and it was ok though some parts of the manga are not seen in the game and the characters look somewhat different though it's ok even though i finished it the day i bought it u should try to read it i just wanted to buy it 1. it was kingdomhearts 2 and 2. it was a manga and i'm totally into manga ( plus my school didn't have any manga at all in the library unlike center middleschool which has 4 shelves of it )

I know right,they didn't even continue the manga series,they stopped at vol 2,I don't know why they stopped,but I hope they will eventually start making them again.KH2 novel,if they tell the entire story,I'd like to read it,even though I'd rather read the manga and look at the pics.But I have never heard of the novel.There might be one in Japan,who knows what goes on there.

actually, by novel, I mean, in short, graphic novel. There's also like 4 volumes of KH2 Novel. Yet it hasn't been released US yet. (was hoping somebody had a translated version and knew the differences >.<)

but they have released 2 volumes of the KH1 Novel.

Well, all I know is that in the end the KH2 manga went crazy. It had Vexen replica lol

Well... the novel doesn't look the same as the manga. Maybe it will be a little more detailed and such like that. I seriously think they try different things with every manga or Kingdom Hearts novel comes out with.

Oh yes the novel adds more aspect to the manga and video games. It tells you the story and gives you more details of what other characters were doing at that time. For example there are more vivid details of the members of Organization XIII and what happens between the storyline of the manga and video game that make you wonder how did this happen or why did that happen? It answers questions of the reader's mind and paints a picture of the bigger scene and what goes behind the scenes. Sadly the novels are only in japanese and no one knows if they will be translated or not.
