the Castle Oblivion world being just a long hallway in the CoM manga?

I didn't really like the idea. I mean a large castle is just a long hallway? Come on.

i liked the story behind it in the chain manga but the design is kind of unsentiment.

It threw me off guard a little, but what the hey. If I was the artist, I'd get sick of drawing seperate rooms and everything... I think Namine's room is shown as not being a corridor... It looks sort of rectangular, boxy, when she's running out through the door...

Agreed. not very creative there

It didn't bother me as much.

I just liked the thought that when Sora entered then door, he would meet his old, but new friends and then gain his memory back. And then he's back on the next challenge. :3

I wasn't that big a fan of it. It's a castle, not an uber-long hallway. It's not the Imperial Palace.

On the other hand, to give Amano the benefit of the doubt, it's probably tedious work to have to draw every room, every detail over and over again. Like how Sora's got the Keyblade slung on his back rather than having to draw the summoning scenes over and over again.

Agreed.
It was simple and easy for him.

I feel like they had to wrap it up and have Castle Oblivion have the most tension. Having a hallway like that made it almost no obsicals with Heartless and just the main characters.

I didn't really pay any attention to it and was mostly focused on the storyline and plot.

Well, in the game, all sora saw of the castle (before the 13th floor) was just a lot of hallways and staircases, so it makes sense that a Castle Oblivion created from his memories would be a long hallway.

I don't think it fit the premise of the story very well. As stated, Castle Oblivion is a large castle with many floors and to portray it as just a hallway seems a bit off to me.

it would have been better if it looked more like a castle than a hallway

It's not like the game was much better x__x. In the game you saw the initial castle and then once you went inside, anything that wasn't a memory world was just a hallway with stairs and doors.
But meh, I'd imagine it's pretty difficult to draw more than the hallway itself. It didn't really bother me that much, but it could have been much more detailed.

It would be a building, not a castle. They could've at least seperated it into floors. Even if it's only three.

just one hallway was kinda lame, but its better than having to walk up 13 floors in the real world.

Yeah. All the story happened in the hallways, so it was easier to do and made more sense. To me, at least.
