Codebreaker not working?

I bought a codebreaker and when i put it in it says insert format disc, i tried using it with thye swap magic 3.6 but it just went black and made an odd noise in my PS2. Any Help? Im pretty sure it is PAL also which is what my PS2 is.

if your ps2 is a slim and its making that clicking noise then it means your CD drive has failed. if its a phat ps2 and it won't read then its compatibility issues with that model of your ps2.

Its a fat PS2 and it just makes a loud humming noise as if it was reading a scratched disc, kind of like when using a PC game or something that isnt ps2 with a swap magic but it doesnt say not a valid ps2 disc it just goes to a black screen, i would try it now but im killing the mushrooms on FM LVL 1 CM
