I try equipping decks and it says i dont have enough CP when i leave.. >HELP?

So choose cards that total less than the MAX CP you have lol...it tells you what your Max is

Higher value cards (like 9's) are worth more CP than lower cards (like 2's) so if you try to add to many high level cards then you'll end up with a very small amount of attack cards (or whatever the card type is in question) so at the beggining of the game it's usually better to have a balance.

OR and eaier solution is find out how much CP the deck that you want costs and level until you have that amount.

As for Riku... I haven't played the game in a long time but, make sure you have a good stock of zero cards somewhere easy for you to use (front or back of the deck) I used around 4 or 5 this way when Riku trys to do Dark Aura and sleights like that you can block with just a simple zero card. Other than that your probably good with using the Gamefaqs guide, hope I helped!
