The Time has Come, Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Dudes and Dudettes, for possibly the greatest event in Kingdom Hearts this year (apart from obviously all three new games...just forget I typed anything, hehe...)


Anyway, without further ado, I present to you all:

That image there by no means symbolises what this event is about, it's there to give you an idea of what is to come, before you read this post, and also its a cool place to put the logo (Generously donated by Erkz, the legend :D)

Anyway, back on subject, this is where you, being the knowledgable and intelligent Kingdom Hearts fans that you are, get your say on who is the ultimate Kingdom Hearts Fighter, the "King of Hearts". But no, this is no ordinary discussion topic. This is the Code Vault, after all. ;)

I'll stop wasting your time and put it simply.


You vote on the Five characters you think Could be the strongest, fastest, best fighter in the Kingdom Hearts series.



At the end of the week, Votes are totalled up, and ten of the most voted for characters are selected



The Contenders are then Randomly Dispersed along a tournament board, and the fights will begin, one by one!

We will be using hacked Fights on KH2FM+ to bring you the best possible Show we can!

The overall winner will be crowned "King of Hearts", and will be idolised among Generations for thousands of years to come (or not :p) Also, i guess we'll do something special with them included, not to mention you'll all know once and for all who owns who. :D
...And i guess you all can brag about how you chose them first xD

For all those that have absolutly no idea what Cloud is babaling about.
This is something evilman_89 thought up for a fun idea while we waited for the new games... about like 6 months ago. xD Delay after delay we just got lazy and forgot about it.
The RR (Royal Rumble): King of Hearts is a tournament made using a bunch of codes we hacked (alot JUST for this dam tournament) It pretty much is a fight to the DEATH! Between two memorable bosses winner moving up to face another winner.
Also theres quite a few bosses who wont work out of their field.. so we can put them into the tournament. But we will try our best.

The enemys will have there hp/stats all put on the same level so it all comes down to whos more cheap who has more skill.

Char. 1: Final Sora
With Berserk Charge equipped, he's almost unstoppable. When not equipped, combos still dish out a few bars of HP(depending on enemy stats). And like Antiform, most attacks are blocked/deflected during the attacks.

Char. 2: Final Xemnas
Sora can't beat him alone. What makes anyone else have a chance? His data form has a changed attack pattern as well.

Char. 3: Xigbar
Teleportation combined with long-range attacks. The enemy has to come to him, making them an easy target.

Char. 4: Org. Roxas
Fast. Not quite as fast as Larxene, but can still get you dizzy with that whole lightslide thing and light show.

Char. 5: Demyx
Water clones with time limit. Other than that, he's not the best choice. His data form does do a few consecutive waves of clones at start, one after another.

More than one of you at this point has said something about Characters that can't be defeated unless sora does something. Believe me when i say, Hacks are VERY powerful things. 9/10 of these, we can fix easily, such as Data Axel's "invincibility" and Xaldin's Wind aura. The ones that are going to be quite difficult to fix are as follows:

::Vexen (although i have an idea of how to get them to break his shield)
::Final Xemnas (This guy is VERY sora/riku dependant, and almost impervious to hacks -.-)
::Large/Unreachable characters (This includes armoured xemnas, groundshaker and stormrider, possibly more)
::Luxord (has no HP, but i also have an idea)

We will be working very hard all this week to Try and fix these small flaws, but if for any reason we can't, then any vote for them will have to be disregarded, or we'll think of a way round it.

Regarding "Sora-Only" Bosses
More than one of you at this point has said something about Characters that can't be defeated unless sora does something. Believe me when i say, Hacks are VERY powerful things. 9/10 of these, we can fix easily, such as Data Axel's "invincibility" and Xaldin's Wind aura. The ones that are going to be quite difficult to fix are as follows:

::Vexen (although i have an idea of how to get them to break his shield)
::Final Xemnas (This guy is VERY sora/riku dependant, and almost impervious to hacks -.-)
::Large/Unreachable characters (This includes armoured xemnas, groundshaker and stormrider, possibly more)
::Luxord (has no HP, but i also have an idea)

We will be working very hard all this week to Try and fix these small flaws, but if for any reason we can't, then any vote for them will have to be disregarded, or we'll think of a way round it.

Please note the first post, Terra is now NOT available to be voted for. This isn't due to any errors, and you Will see him in the tournament. The enemys will have there hp/stats all put on the same level so it all comes down to whos more cheap who has more skill.


With regards to this, I have to say I'm suprised at how many fanboyish votes have been made considering It's not about the character's reputation, but the characters performance. It's not a supposed to be a popularity vote from what I can gather, and while some of the characters chosen can put up a fight, I'm sure a character like Sora wouldn't hold as much of a chance if his stats are on par with the opponents, and if it's a computer that's controlling him.

But what do I know right?

1. Sephiroth
- He probably has the most variable of attacks, which can be an advantage or a disadvantage depending on his opponent and his coding. Most of his attacks are combo relative. Heartless Angel if performed the way it should would instantly lower the opponent's health to a single hit point. Even without that move, he can still gain a good lead on an opponent with the Meteor spell, since he's invincible during that time period.
2. Digital Roxas
- From what I can see in the videos, his attacks are not quite as varied as Seph's, however he has a good mix of range and melee tactics. His Desperation move acts like a nerfed version of Sephiroth's meteors. The ability to throw those light pillars with each swing could be devastating too.
3. Cloud
- If everyone's stats are equalized, then Cloud probably has the best meleeing chance of everyone if he engages the warriors spirit combo. Throughout the entire phase of that attack, he's impervious to a counter assault, which allows him to score some easy hits, depending on whether it's ally Cloud or Enemy Cloud would determine how long this attack lasts, and how frequent it hits. Either way, his only downside is the lack of any range tactics. (Unless you count Climb Hazard which is more of a one shot radial attack)
4. Digital Saix
- If he's still capable of performing his berserk mode, then his attacks have quite a degree of radius and can be performed consecutively, allowing for a relentless offense. Even when he's not buzzin' on moon rays, he can still launch a decent offensive, crossing wide gaps, and throwing his weapon. Besides, he's invincible during his Desperation Move as well I think.

6. Final Form/Limit Form Sora
- I should think if Sora would stand even a remote chance against anyone, it would only be in his Final Form, which has some ridiculous combo attacks, or Limit Form, which has the Ars Arcanum,Sonic Rave, and Strike Raid. I will in turn give Normal Sora some credit though, if he could manage to perform the Trinity Limit, which makes him invincible 3 times in a row, then he might just have everyone else beat or on par.

I recollect at some point in the thread you may be doing something about the invincibility perks of some of the character's abilities, if that same case is applied to these characters, then I would think the entire stack just got shuffled. Same with any nerfing of abilities (Like Making Trinity Limit only hit once).

Whatever the case may be, I'm definately looking forward to this, and I hope people will start considering their choices for more than their sword size..

Reason: Although he is pretty much assured to be in this (even though I'm not sure how you'll do it) I think that Sora should be in this because he has great skill and also is very cheap likable, but you never know, he might not win.

Demyx (Whatever version you want)

Reason: Once again, I have no idea how you would take the ... forms in ... seconds out of his coding, Demyx would be a good candidate because he is fast and also takes a surprising amount of time to DIE. Also very cheap

Roxas (Boss battle version)

Reason: He is very fast and also has a lot of tricks up his sleeve, would be particularly interesting against people like Terra and Sephiroth, also duel weld is cheap FTW.

Character 4

Lexaeus (however the hell you spell it)

Reason: Aside from being a great fighter, he is also the Org Member we know least about, even combat-wise. I think he needs some air time and I also want to see the match with Riku in AI version.

Character 5

Riku (NOT RIKKU [I know you can't play against (sp?) or as her])

Reason: He seems to be or think he is much more talented than Sora in his usual state, I'd like to see if that is true. I want to see what Way to Dawn can really do apart from be cheap but most of all I just want to see the Riku-Lexaeus battle in full AI glory.

Sora-He pwn'd everybody. The only reason he's second is because I had to use the King like five times when killing Xaldin, so Sora wouldn't have stood a chance on his own.
Roxas-He beat Riku, and put up a better fight against Sora than most of the bosses do when I fight. Also, he can use two keyblades with no party (it's kind of a drawback for Sora at the end. If I could have used my Final Form, Xemnas wouldn't have lasted half as long)
Riku- He's Riku. He's probably the best ally I had, and he was a pain in the first game.
Demyx- water clones. He's hard to beat even WITH reaction commands. Everyone else would be screwed.

In my honest opinion of strongest... Terra would be on top of every list. Ignoring him, however... Hm. Sora and Riku are the strongest in the game universe, but computer versions of them... Not so much. Like watching Donald and Goofy fight a boss for you. They just die.

So, gameplay-wise against each other, not just Sora...

Reasons behind why you Chose them/Comments (optional):
1. Xigbar. He'd be all over everyone. Quick, powerful, and aerial advantage.
2. Sephiroth. He has range, strength, but not many flashy attacks. Sword slashes in three different flavors, fire, instadeath which I doubt will work, dark orbs, and meteors.
3. Demyx. His instakill might not work, but he still has a lot of water. A lot of water. A lot of freaking water. Genie, Goofy, help.
4. Saix. He can attack all over the place. With power.
5. Zexion. Just because he's my favorite and I would like to see his book powers against other members.

Honorable mentions are Final Xemnas and Luxord, but their playstyles might mess up the battles. Roxas is also a good mention, as is that Sora... Hell, all the Organization.

What arena will this be in, may I ask? For some characters such as Sephy will be screwed in an area like Twilight Town. While in places like the CoM stages, there might not be enough room for characters like Xigbar. Perhaps final Xemnas white nothing area?

So if members on my list don't work, replace them with Xemnas/Luxord/Roxas/Sora, which ever works best.

I hope it'll be in places according to characters, like, you know, if it's Roxas vs. Riku then it should be in the World that Never Was, if it's Sora vs. Roxas it should be in the Station of Awakening, if it's Simba vs. Scar it should be on the Peak of Pride Rock, etc....you get my meaning ;)

I'm sory Cloud, but I have to agree with rayne. I understand that you and the other coders did this whole tournament for us to enjy, but t's realy frustrating that some of s have been waiting patiently since this morning, and then as soon as it's up it's put down.

I, have been up since 4am wating for this vid, and checking in almost every hour since, and then I miss it almost imediately after it's taken down. Also, I can't go on the comp., till after my exams are through 3 weeks from now, so I was really looking forward to this. And so now, I'm sad. ;_;

Nobody really forced you to start this tournament thing in the first place but since you did... It really wouldn't hurt if you shortened the time it takes for each battle to come out.
