Hey! I am here to tell people about my Kingdom Hearts radioplay. I am taking auditions for Part One of my fanfic, Kingdom Hearts: Final Master. If you are interested in voice acting as one of the characters below, then e-mail me at soldier1stclass.zackfair@yahoo.com. I also posted a thread on the Voice Acting Alliance website, (www.voiceactingalliance.com (http://www.voiceactingalliance.com)). Just search for my username. It's the same as it is on here.
Well, here is the post that I made on the VAA...
Synopsis...
Adrian was a special kid. He had magic powers. Right after he was born, King Mickey and Ansem the Wise came to his world and requested his parents that they take him for training when he turned five. To prove that Adrian was special, Ansem tested his power and showed the parents what he could do. They agreed.
Five years passed, and Adrian began his training. He was smarter than most five-year-olds, but hadn't shown any sign of the power that he held since that day in his home-world. He hadn't made any progress. Granted it had been only three months, but still. His trainer, Yen Sid, the greatest wizard in all the worlds, had had high expectations for him. He was a little disappointed by Adrian's lack of progress. He would let the issue lie for now.
However, one day, something happened that blew everyone's plans away.
Adrian went to the Struggle Battles in Twilight Town. At one point, he went cold and silent. The good fairy, Fauna, who had been with him, felt this change and attempted to help him, but ended up in a coma for the next seven years. Adrian ended up back at Yen Sid's tower a little while later. The next day, Adrian vanished.
Final Master is the story of what happens after Adrian disappears. And how, eventually, he ceases to exist. It has common characters with both the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy video game series.
Here are the characters so far, in order of appearance...
Name: Narrator, (huge part)
Personality: N/A
Voice type: I need someone who can show the proper emotion for what it is they are saying. I also need someone who doesn't mind reading and recording massive amounts of text at a time. If you can do the voice for Adrian, (twenty-one years old), when it comes around, then good! Well, the Prologue of this whole thing is written in first person, so...
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one should sound like an option is being given. The second one should, (obviously), be a question. The third one should be an exclamation of disbelief. The fourth should sound shocked.)
"If you have the mind to read on, then do so."
"What did that mean, anyway?"
"What he had just seen couldn't have just happened!"
"Darkness. A vortex of darkness."
Name: Adrian's Mom, (cameo)
Personality: A soft-spoken woman who has deep ties to family.
Voice type: Just your typical, female, motherly voice.
Lines:
(NOTE: All of her lines are really quiet.)
"Why is his hair this color?"
"I wish that I could see into your head, my little Adrian..."
Note: I will probably take someone who will do another voice in this for Adrian's Mom.
Name: Donald Duck, (cameo)
Personality: A funny, duck character with a bad attitude.
Voice type: Need I explain?
Lines:
(NOTE: If you can do a passable imitation of Donald, I would suggest that you audition. This one's going to be really hard to find...)
"You Majesty! I mean, Your Majesties!"
"Wak!"
Note: See the note at Adrian's Mom.
Name: King Mickey/Queen Minnie
Personality: The King and Queen of Disney Castle. They are interested in keeping the worlds from being connected.
Voice type: High-pitched and light. I don't think that I need to explain more.
Lines:
(NOTE: I think that the same thing applies here as it does for Donald. See above.)
"Now, Donald! Calm down and tell me what's going on!"
"There he goes again..."
Note: These two will probably be done by the same people, just for the sake of simplicity. Unless, of course, it gets too hard to do it this way.
Name: Daisy Duck, (cameo)
Personality: A little demanding, but sweet.
Voice type: A typical, female voice. Just a little bit of a reprimand behind her voice.
Lines:
(NOTE: Both these lines are reassuring.)
"But he always comes back."
"You can trust that."
Note: See notes at Adrian's Mom and Donald Duck.
Name: Squall/Leon
Personality: A little condescending, but mysterious, too. He doesn't seem to like Cloud very much.
Voice type: Deep, relaxed.
Lines:
(NOTE: Both of these lines are really laid back sounding.)
"Hey, Cloud."
"What are you doing here?"
Name: Cloud Strife
Personality: A little cold, but naive as well. He gets upset at stupid things, but only as a mask to hide the fact that he's having problems with the darkness in his heart.
Voice type: Quiet and there won't be much at first.
Lines:
(NOTE: The first line is kinda drawn out and condescending. The second should be a little fed up sounding.)
"Shut up!"
"It's just a headache..."
Name: Tifa Lockheart
Personality: Kind, but fierce. She seems to act as Cloud's "babysitter." She keeps him in line, that's for sure!
Voice type: A little sharp, but not unkind.
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one is supposed to be yelled. The second is supposed to be a bit annoyed sounding.)
"Cloud! Left!"
"There was no malicious intent behind it, at all!"
Name: Yuffie Kisaragi (spelling?)
Personality: Bubbly and a tad bit naive.
Voice type: Younger teenager.
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one should be a question, where the "huh" is more like it was added on, (like, "So he wants to be called Leon, huh?"). The second one is a little sarcastic sounding.)
"Leon, huh?"
"What, no King?"
Name: Cid Highwind
Personality: Cocky and crude. He works on rough stuff, and that transfers to his personality.
Voice type: A little bit of a western feel.
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one should be a little muffled. The second one should be enthusiastic sounding.)
"Here I am!"
"I wouldn' min' workin' with them two any time!”
Name: Ansem the Wise
Personality: Curious, but in a scientific way.
Voice type: Think Christopher Lee, who did his voice in Kingdom Hearts II.
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one should sound like he just got snapped out of being distracted. The second one should sound a little amused.)
"Hm? What's that you say?"
"Ah! That's right. You're not interested in that, are you?"
Name: Xeanhort
Personality: Cold and cruel. He just wants to get what he can from Ansem and leave.
Voice type: Deep and condescending. He can't seem to keep the sneer out of his voice.
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one should sound like he's annoyed that he got called to duty, but trying to mask it. The second one should sound like he's musing to himself.)
"Yes, Master Ansem?"
"Hm. He would stop us from pursuing our dreams."
Name: Adrian, (five years old)
Personality: Smart, but a bit immature. He's not all there sometimes.
Voice type: A little more mature than most five-year-olds. Not deeper. Just more mature in pronunciation.
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one should obviously be a cheer. The second one should sound like he's a bit confused.)
"Yeah! Go Setzer!"
"What the heck was that about?"
Name: Yen Sid
Personality: A bit like Ansem, but wiser and more knowledgable. He has a hard time changing his ways.
Voice type: Once again, like Ansem, but with subtle differences. His voice is more commanding, for one...
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one should sound flustered. The second one is kind of an afterthought.)
"Alright! I give up."
"It's impossible to win an argument with you three anyway..."
Name: The Three Good Fairies, (Flora, Fauna, and Meriweather)
Personailities: Very protective of the weak, but not good at enforcing that protection. They are usually too focused on arguing over what is "right."
Voice types: Flora and Fauna are more like mothers, while Meriweather is like the grandmother. Fauna has a little deeper of a voice than Flora.
Lines:
(NOTE: The first and thrid ones are Meriweather/Fauna, so a little deeper. The second one is Flora, so a little higher.)
"Oh, my!"
"But that's what your doing!"
"You don't need that nonsense right now, Adrian."
Note: These three parts are ideally going to be played by one person. If I can find someone who is good at all three, then great!
Name: One of Ansem's Assistants, (cameo)
Personality: N/A
Voice type: Like Xeanhort, but higher-pitched and less sure of himself.
Lines:
(NOTE: This one's a little unsure. It should sound like he's not confident in what he's doing.)
"I escorted her to her lodging."
Note: See notes at Adrian's Mom, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck.
Name: Adrian, (twelve years old)
Personality: A little smarter than your average pre-teen, but just as impulsive. He has Cloud's spirit stuck in his head, but has the mental power to block him out. Over the last seven years, he has become more powerful than many magicians in any of the worlds.
Voice type: A deeper, pre-teen voice, a lot like the Riku from Kingdom Hearts II. Just a little higher-pitched.
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one should be cocky and sarcastic. The second one should sound like he left the end of that sentence hanging.)
"Well, if you could still read my thoughts..."
"Shut up, Cloud!"
Name: Sora, (seven years old)
Personality: Goofy, and a little "too cute" for his own good. He is always in Riku's shadow, but doesn't mind it too much.
Voice type: Like Adrian, (five years old), but with a little touch of the Kingdom Hearts I Sora.
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one is a bit of a whine. The second one is a yell.)
"Awww! Come on, Riku! Let me see!"
"NO!!! DON'T!!!"
Name: Riku, (eight years old)
Personality: Kind of a "one-up-ya " kind of guy. He'll challenge you to a sword fight, all the while bragging that he's the best. He's usually right.
Voice type: Deeper than Sora, (seven years old), but not without that cockyness!
Lines:
(NOTE: For the first one, invision someone standing sideways at you, arms crossed, and a little bit of a leer on his face. The second one is in awe.)
"Who wants to know?"
"Now that's payment!"
Name: Kairi, (seven years old)
Personality: A kind of "mediator" between Sora and Riku, she just drifted to Destiny Islands one day without any clue as to who she was or where she had come from.
Voice type: A cute, little girl voice. That's pretty simple, right?
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one should be like a person who decides who wins at the finish-line of a race. The second one is calling to Sora and Riku, who are farther away.)
"And the winner is... RIKU!!!"
"Sora! Riku! It's getting dark! Let's go home!"
Name: Axel
Personality: Too cocky and a little goofy. He seems to show more emotion than others of his kind...
Voice type: Like a New Yorker, but not as prominent.
Lines:
(NOTE: Both laid back to the max.)
"I'm here to talk."
"My name is Axel... Got it memorized?"
Name: Aerith Gainsborough
Personality: Kind, soft-spoken, and a little kooky. She care a lot about her friends.
Voice type: Quiet and a little shy-sounding.
Lines:
(NOTE: The first one should be louder than usual and sound like she's laughing a little bit as she is saying it. The second on is amused and quiet.
"You hit me in the nose! That's what's wrong!"
"Oh, is that what he's calling himself now? Okay..."
Well, that's all I got for now. I hope that I did all that right...
I have no deadlines as of now. I will probably never have any deadlines, so meh.
PM me with your idea, if you have any.
E-mail your auditions to soldier1stclass.zackfair@yahoo.com.
I can't promise that I'll do very good with replying to e-mails, though. I get a lot of them from other things, so don't take it personally if I don't reply to you as soon as you would like. I'll try, though!
Hope that I can get some takers!
Later!
