Hello everyone.
I am a new one here and I have some Questions.
But first of all: This Site ist great!! Every time I look for Codes, the credits ALWAYS goes to kh-vids. Youīre all doing a great job guys!!:)

So, my Questions:
1. I want to buy a Code CD for my Ps2 slim. Now I donīt know which I schould choose...an AR Max, a Codebreaker or a Gameshark. Many people are saying AR Max isīnt good, others are saying Codebreaker isīnt good.
Therefore, I wanted to ask Proīs.

2. If someone could answer my first question, then I want to know the best/newest of this cdīs on the market and the price (If possible).

3. Further, I would want to know if this Cdīs (for the Ps2) are Cdīs oder Dvdīs? My Ps2 canīt (somehow) read Cdīs annymore :nono:

Thanks for the answers

PS: Sorry for the bad Englisch ^^ Iīm not from the USA or somewhere else, where Englisch is spoken. I hope itīs readable...

1. avoid a Gameshark, from what i heard that's the worst of the three. AR Max is the most expensive of the 3 but easier to use and has the useful feature of saving codes onto a USB drive INSTEAD of memory card. Codebreaker is the cheapest of them all with only $20 but you may have a tough time finding one since it's been discontinued, has the nice feature of accepting RAW codes which is what people here post their codes.

2. i don't know

3. i believe all of them are DVDs but not 100% sure.

I use the AR MAX and I haven't had any problems with it. I never used a Codebreaker on a PS2 but it's worth a shot. I wouldn't go anywhere near a Game Shark if I were you because they aren't that stable. So I really think you should get an AR MAX because, well, I don't know anything about Codebreaker but I do know that the AR MAX is easy to use.

You're welcome, and you should be able to play a DVD from another country.

1) codebreaker is definitely the most useful but is no longer in production. so if you can find one snag it quickly. second best option would be gameshark. i have used gameshark for years and it has never let me down (v4 is by far the best!). ARMAX just sucks in every aspect i can think of. but if you interested in playing imported games i suggest the newer swap magic 3.8 (coder edition). it has a built in cheat device.

2) prices normally range around $20. but depending on the cheat device you choose, the price may go up.

3) all cheat devices are cd based. with the exception of swap magic 3.8 (coder) DVD version. (and possibly ARMAX, but im not 100% sure since i don't own it)

as you said, your ps2 no longer reads cd based games anymore. so your best option is swap magic 3.8 (coder).

Itīs weird...My ps2 canīt read any psone games but the Ar Max...I donīt know why but iīm happy xDD
And I already downloaded the maxconvert ^^
And my ps2 has a modchip so I can play imported games =)
Therefore, Iīll test the Kh2FM codes.

AR MAX is the only one on a CD, and the modchip doesn't allow you to use codes on import games on your modded ps2. trust me AR MAX will say "Unable to read disc."

Youīre right, it says insert disk. Oh well...But pal Games work ī^^
I hope it can read Us Games because the most of my games are ntsc-u.
But now, I donīt feel like testing this. I just tested Kh2 Codes for 4 hours xD
What do I need to use codes for fm+? A japanese code cd? Or does it work with gameshark/codebreaker?

it works with all 3 devices.. BUT STAY AWAY FROM GAMESHARK! you need swap magic 3.6, or has carey was saying, 3.8 coder, which let's you use cheat codes, but i don't know if it's raw or what.

And you know about the flip top for slim ps2, and magic keys for phats, right?

I recommend CodeBreaker. I personally think it's the best of them all. It's much faster than ARMAX and it's more updated too. And even though it's not being made anymore you can still order it from somewhere like amazon.com that was where I got mine. And they still make codes for it at codetwink.com even though the product itself is discontinued so I've heard.

One More Thing: Make sure you don't make new threads for The KH Games in this section. Cause there are already Official Threads. Alot (and I mean it) ALOT of people have made this mistake.

Just make sure you don't.:)

Cause The Coders get really annoyed when people do that.:)

Maybe I buy this one too... Then I could enter the raw codes, right?
Theyīre not so long like the Ar Max Codes (Right?) and then I woultīnt have to convert them every time.
Yesterday, I tried to use a Code on a Copy of KH2 and AR Max said insert Disk. So, Copys are not supported. Is there a way to make this work? I donīt have Swap Magic or something else for my ps2, only a chip to play Copys of my Games. I seldom use my original Games because I want them to be as good as new and sell them later.

And I wont make a new Thread there for such a Problem^^ Iīm sorry for this one. And after I finisched asking about this Problem, the thread can be closed/deleted =)

There's no way to use back-up games with armax without swap magic, ihave no idea on the others. And yes, RAW codes are smaller then AR MAX codes, and it's more convinent, all you have to do with codebreaker with like UCM is switch a couple digits, and boom. ar max, you have to convert it back to raw, switch the digits, convert it back, then re-enter the entire thing. Just a useless pain in the ass in my opinion, although i'm still keeping mine. It proves useful.

And BTW: This is my color. :(
