i didn't notice...until four years later (last week) when i played this game again for fun. and i was like "oh, sh**, that looks like RIku's weapon".

I always assumed that it was meant to be that way, due to Ansem basically being an extension of Riku at that point....

At first, when I didn't realise Road to Dawn was a keyblade, I thought it was the same weapon. But then when I realised it seems that there isn't much connection.

Yyyyyes, I know it.

It's because they're both crafted from the same type of darkness. Because, you know, Riku and Ansem have the same darkness inside them. It's all political.

His lance probably looks like Way to Dawn cause Ansem originally took over Riku's body, so he was able to create a dark lance, which then turned into a Twilight blade. No clue what I'm saying XDDDDD

Well, many has said it before...but Riku and "Ansem" (Xeanhort's heartless) was/are connected as we all know. AND They were using the power of darkness...there was someone in this thread who wrote that these weapons were crafted from the SAME darkness and I believe so too. :)
