I must say that I really liked those photos. I've never seen snails so snaily and bees so striped before. I guess their european versions much be prettier :D. The 2nd Bee, snail, and the dragonfly are my favorites. Especially because here the bees are not as fluffly, the snails are always hiding, and I can never find a bloody dragonfly thats a color other than green! x3
Good job on the photos. Its a shame you'll totally ruin those places if a dinosaur fossil is found there and you end up digging it all up o:

I like our bees, they are always fluffy, well most of them.
Thanks =P I am still a major noob when it comes to things like insects and teeny tiny beasties, but I think I am doing ok.
omgosh those dragonflies, we were walking under a tree and they like asploded out of it, there were loads of them, all different colours, it was really beautiful.

I have to say, those are pretty good pictures CtR :'D I <3 those butterfly ones, they're reall nice colours/colors. And the beez, ohmygoshh, the beez are just awesome. Dragonflies are my favourite insects & maybe if you zoomed up on it'd look better, other than that its great. Name the snail like timexhasxgone said, plez?

Agreed with the dragonfly comment...
If zoomed, perhaps the camera would have caught the colour a little better?
I vote for the name....
NELSON.

Thanks both <3
I do have a couple more zoomed in, but to be honest they aren't that great, they lose even more of the sharpness and it looks kinda meh.
It was the first time I photographed dragonflies, I think for now this is as good as it is going to get out of the ones I took that day xD;
Nelson is a fine name.

'Nelson, the Snail from CtR's photo'
Sounds pretty awesome to me xD

I'ma give you critique one by one cuz i have nothing else better to do~ :]
1 - I think this might be my favorite because of the great focus. It be even better if you got close up to it even more, but I highly doubt you'd do that unless you don't mind getting stung, or you have some awesome macrolenses. Still, it would make it more drastic.
2 - Same with above on this one. But also, without knowing the title, I wouldn't know if the flowers are the focus or the bee is. To help this, you could photo edit it in Gimp or photoshop and highlight the focus subtly.
3 - Getting closer on this one could help as well. Also, try a bit of different angles when you photograph things
4 - This is the one where I would not say get closer, it's perfect just there. Besides the first, it is my favorite. The lighting is awesome on this one.
5 - Now this one I would REALLY close in on, especially since there is so much of the same color every where, it's distracting from the butterfly and hard to figure out what plant is in on focus and which is not.
6 - It's very nice how where the dragon fly is, there's light and behind it, there is none, but at the same time it's distracting. Try highlighting the dragonfly subtly in this one, too.
7 - Close up on this too. A snail would be easier to do this with then flying insects. This one is lovely just because how cute it is~ XP
Uh, there you go. You can take my advice if you want, or not. It's just some suggestions.
Also if you want you could go on dA and look up some photography editing tutorials to help you.

xD you got me, I was wary of getting any closer than that. I could have zoomed in a bit more but I have a habit of going too far and destroying pictures. I'll work on it. Thank you.

Fanks :B I don't have any editing thing, I really need to but I have never got around to it yet. I see what you mean though, there is nothing that stands out as the focus.
3 - Getting closer on this one could help as well. Also, try a bit of different angles when you photograph things
That one was my own fault, it was the first time I took a photo of a butterfly, I didn't know how close to go without scaring the crap out of it, when I did go to get closer some kid on a bike came past and it flew away. I also agree that my angles are always very much the same. It is a problem I have in my landscape pictures as well, everything always has the same perspective xD; it is one of my biggest flaws.
4 - This is the one where I would not say get closer, it's perfect just there. Besides the first, it is my favorite. The lighting is awesome on this one.
Thanking you :<3:

Thank you, I shall definitely work on that. I think I am always just too scared to get too close? Sounds lame I know xD;

Thanks~ I really do need to start learning editing skills I think.

Noted, and thanks =P
Thank you very much for the crit <3 I admire your own photos a lot, so thanks.
