Um.. I'll be the first one to post hear saying that I don't really care for Axel that much. And to think about it, I dont really like Reno either. Which is something that I realy dislike people saying. I know that Numora (Sp? 99% sure it's wrong) said that he based Axel from Reno, but it doesn't make Axel Reno. Unless there is evident proof. Red hair and personality do not represent evident proof to me.

I think that he may be popular because he was the only member in both CoM and KH2. Which made him obviously a more "comfort" character in KH2, meaning we already know him. (comfort is not really the word i wanted to use). That may be a reasonwhy he's so popular. But seeing people that actually care for his character (kind of a bad pun) makes him seem a lot better. He was also one of the characters that seemed to have emotions that ran deeper than other members. Which gave him more substance.

I also dont think he's that mysterious because we know so much about him due t the fact that he was in both games. The mysterious ones are more of the others except Xemnas cause we kind of know about a lot of his past. ANd Then there's Roxas.. We know about that
So 2-7 and 9-12 are more unknown to us. Alot more.

I don't know. Probably because I saw something in his personality that stood out to me. I liked that he was kind of a villian but you felt pity for him at the same time, since he lost his best friend and never really got to see him again (since Roxas lost his memory). He's not boring. I actually love Axel. I have nothing against his character, minus the unceremonious actions he took in Castle Oblivion. The way he killed them when they were begging for their lives, as nonexisting as they were, should have been done better.

What is starting to irritate me, and making me bitter about his character, it's that he's overrated. Him always winning polls, people choosing him blindly just because he's, lol, Axel, even when the question doesn't ask what is your favorite member. All while the others are much more fitting to win than he is in reality. On top of that, SE likes to whore him out among other characters that are stuck with no rightful development, and he's moving, while they stay behind. Nomura and his damn staff needs to put their obvious bias and favoritism aside. Personal likes shouldn't be put into work, because then other characters are ignored in the process, and don't get the lime light they deserve.

Otherwise, he's alright. He's not the big deal that people make him out to be. If as much effort was placed into the other members like they do him, no doubt they will be way more interesting in the long run.

I do say, however, that he is one handsome and hot pixel. So the eye candy makes it somewhat better for him, luckily.

I have to admit I REALLY dislike Axel, but that may be because I'm a die-hard Vexen fangirl and a pretty big Marluxia one too. I just find his personality irritating because it seems to change to suit the plot writers and not for any real reason, at least at this moment in time it seems that way to me. One moment he's a jerk, next he's all clingy to his 'best friend', one moment he's weeding out rebels in the Organization, next he's gone AWOL.

What annoys me the most his how he just 'killed' Vexen for no damn reason, he could of just told him to go back to TWTNW and pretend to be dead so they can bring down Marluxia. Or even team up against Marluxia, I'm sure the two of them combined would be able to take both Marluxia and Larxene as in the manga it's a fire and a blizzard spell that kill her.

However I did used to really, really like him. I even considered cosplaying him once I was that devout to the guy. But then I saw Vexen's CoM death, not Re:CoM but the GBA version, I realised that Axel didn't really deserve the attention he gets. At least in my opinion.

There are many reasons why many people love Axel. Axel happens to be my second favorite character as Demyx is my first and will discuss why that is besides the obvious features of visage, talent etc.

Relation with a character:
What I mean by this, is that a person can identify seeing themselves like that character. I see myself like Demyx, being friendly, non confronational, forgetful, yet at times, serious, mysterious and deceptive. So you see I identify more with the character Demyx because of his traits relate to my own.

But let's get back to Axel

Character description:
Axel is tall, lean and has a lot of charm about him. His hair is a vibrant red, the emerald eyes are mysterious, and his body is well toned.

Character Personaility:
Axel's role in the Kingdom Hearts is major and who wouldn't love a guy who is tough on both the inside and outside? He is a double agent, able to go from one extreme to the next and handles himself well in tight situations. Axel is kind to those he cares for and gives him a reason to without being able to have any emotions or feelings.

Character involvement:
Of all of the characters, he is the most mysterious and plays a huge role in the game interacting with other characters. Normura knew it was a good idea to have Axel survive from Castle Oblivion where as the other members didn't because he wanted to expand on Axel's character as a whole giving the viewers an indepth outcome.

Fandom:
To many minds of those who think differently, Axel is protrayed in different ways of being with certain girls or guys even though none of it is canon and would make any sense. It is all up to the beholder's mind.

Axel is my second fave member of the Organization (my first being Saix)! for a number of reasons.

1. There are things about Axel that others don't know yet, like which side he is really on.
2. Axel seems like you're regular Organization member, but he has a special place as a double agent. He betrayed the Oblivion members but yet, he also betrayed the higher members because of his friendship with Roxas, who he cares a lot for.
3. Axel is the type of character most people would go crazy over, as he is cocky and not a regular character type you would see often in a game.

But other than that, after playing Kingdom Hearts 2 so many times, Axel really doesn't even appeal to me anymore. I was all crazy about him at first but I began to see other people in the game *cough-Saix-cough*

He was the only one to become so attached to someone that he'd give his life to help them. For someone without a heart, he sure acted like he had one... I'll resist a "fiery personality" quip (alright, maybe not) but it's rare for a character to be mysterious, cool, and emotional at the same time while still being believable.

He's quite a b*stard really, but he's the kind with all this bad-boy, roguish charm. He evil, devilish, but has his heart in the right place. (excuse the poor choice of words) There's good and bad, and one hell of a schemer. He out-schemes the titular Cloaked Schemer! Plus, girls love bad-boys, boys look up to them.

Although I thought he was quite a wimp in KH2, he was totally bad-ass in CoM.

Yeah, I like Axel, I don't love him though. This being because he has the most interesting personality out of the Organisation members. He also seems to think for himself whereas the others just obey ' The Superior '.

I liked Axel because how his role/character was betrayed in the games. He seems like a bad guy....now a sort of good guy, etc...Plus his personality too.;)

The red hair, the cat-like, piercing green eyes... His element is FIRE! Not to mention his attitude is a perfect match for his element... He kicks ass. The end.

I haven't really thought about it. I reckon it's because he's just so dedicated to his friend even though he has no emotion. People like that in others, it makes them want to know the person and to have them be so dedicated to them. I don't really know, thats what I think, and for the girls he's quite good looking :<3:

I think Axel is okay. He helped Sora out and everything, but I always felt he had something to hide. His attacks are...eh, but I love his weapons. Being friends with Roxas earned him extra points with me since everyone else in the organization has a huge stick up their... floppy disk. Whoa what did you think I was going to say? Actually Demyx, was tolerable.

I have no idea why I like him. I think he's just plain awesome! But his attitude annoys me.

His fire attacks look cool plus he managed to be the only surviving member of the Organization in CoM. Pulling that off demands respect.
But he went downhill in KH2, up to the point of spewing the unbelievably corny "He made me feel like I had a heart...You make me feel the same" line. I know it adds to the depth of his character and all that, but I didn't like that side of him.

He is pretty awesome in general. For starters, he uses fire, which is awesome in and of itself. Secondly, he looks cool too. He also is the first (and only, as far as I know) character to swear in a KH game (he said "hell" in the original version of CoM here in the States) and he was just such a fun character to watch in cutscenes and interact with. Even the Square-Enix team loved him enough to around until Betwixt and Between near the end of the game instead of killing him during the Roxas prologue in KH2
