Kairi and Namine

I was wondering how come Kairi didn't join with Namine when they met. Isn't Namine Kairi's nobody?

Well why wouldn't Roxas want to join with Sora? Riku even said that Roxas left the Organization so that he could meet Sora.

Both Roxas and Namine joined their real selves, If you notice, Namine holds Kairis hand then glows gold then Kairi glows gold, Thats her "Joining" Kairi

Roxas and Sora stand facing each other, Roxas says "Look sharp" then they "Look sharp" and then Roxas glows blue and disappears then Sora glows blue, thats Roxas "joining" Sora.

Yeah, that's right, and then in the ending when Sora and Kairi look at each other so do Naminé and Roxas... they're inside them... I gess

Perhaps they only joined at the end because Roxas, Sora, Namine and Kairi were all together.:)

Yeah, liek Rikky said I was talking about when Namine rescues Kairi and when they run down the ramp.
I did realise that when they touched hand, there was like a golden glow.

Sometimes I think maybe Namine was willing herself not to connect to kairi just yet. you know, because she was trying to save her. Because if Namine had told Kairi that she was a nobody, then Kairi wouldn't want to go with her. That way, namine was able to will herself to keep her form so that she could save Kairi.

But what about the fact that Roxas and Sora became one in the very beginning of the game when you first take control of Sora?

Hmm...I do believe that Roxas and Sora became one but didn't fully meld until that sequence near the end, which would account for Sora and Roxas battling in Sora's heart, and the Roxas ghost speaking to Naminé, who was also ghostly at that time, which makes me think that somepoint around the time Kairi and Riku are reunited, Kairi and Naminé became one but didn't fully meld until that "Look Sharp" scene.

P.S. I'm no moderator, but this seems like it would fit better in "Speculation." I could be wrong.

When the two of them touched, it seemed to me as if Namine was slowly joining Kairi. My theory is that she was resisting long enough to help Kairi. Roxas most likely gave into the inevitable since the nion had already been set in motion. In addition, Namine seems to have more power over that kind of thing than Roxas.

I think that Namine still had to help. In the kh manga, she watches over Sora, Kairi, Rike, ect. praying and helping them when she can. Kairi didn't know who Namine was a t first. If she joined with her, Kairi would not understand what was happing. When they do join togetherm Kairi knows more about Namine and who she is. She also wanted to keep her promise and see Roxas again and "talk abou't everything" likle they said in teh begining of the game. Plus if she joined with Kairi then, she woulnd't have been able to open a portal back to the islands.
