Times are different now. This isn't the same little town you grew up in as a child anymore. This isn't the big, beautiful world you were eager to explore and learn from. No. Those days of ignorance are over. The world is a terrible place and its inhabitants will be the blame for its end. At least, that’s how you see it. Your eyes begin to feel heavy as they put you under, the thick gas traveling into your body and spreading throughout you. How sick. What right did they have to put you to sleep; perhaps to silence you? That seemed to be all they wanted, just to get you to keep quiet. You couldn’t help that you’re this way. You couldn’t control this.


The last few words of the doctors slip away from sound as you fall into a dark, dangerous slumber… Your body is cold, the feeling of your blood pumping through your veins a noticeable contrast as wind whips against your flesh. Your eyes open, staring up as you’re falling down. Where was this? What was going on? Maybe the it’s a dream… You wonder, as you tumble down this white abyss. Around you are voices; So many loud, unrecognizable voices drilling your eardrums and skull. You groan, falling farther down. Memories flash before your eyes of your life before the incident. How happy you were…But you were a fool.


The wind turns your body and you’re suddenly facing the ground, colorful patterns and brightness making you squint. You wonder if you’ll die now, your arms instinctually reaching forward to stop yourself—or to embrace it. You close your eyes, a warm and plush surface welcoming your body. You bounce up, furrowing your eyebrows before hitting the surface again, this time on your back. “Where am I…?”


“It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.”

You decide to leave this place, looking around and taking notice of all of the colors and strange plants and flowers you see. In front of you, in the far distance is a castle, around you being something that resembles a maze. There’s seems to be no way out of this. Breathing out hard, you look up. Thick dark clouds paint the sky, a red moon beaming behind them. Tall, bare trees form to your right while beautiful huge flowers border your left.

“What an odd place…” You mumble, stepping into the center of this labyrinth.

“And how odd of you to say so,”A sinister voice whispers behind you. You turn, furrowing your eyebrows in surprise. In front of you is a stripped purple and lavender cat, an unnatural grin stretched across it’s face. It’s head tilts, tail swishing behind him as he jumped from the tall gates enclosing you and onto the naked branch of a tree. “Every adventure requires a first step. Trite, but true, even here…”

“And where is here?” You mumble, wondering why you’re even humoring such an odd situation. You feel fear in your heart, but your mind is curious. The cat leaps to a higher branch, grinning wider and staring at you with wide yellow eyes. “W-well?”

“Welcome to Wonderland. Or what’s left of it.”He tilts his head again, his tale curling around his body.

“Wonderland…?” You look around, back to the castle. The cat turns as if to leave, grinning madly with one last dark whisper.

“Only a few find the way; some don't recognize it when they do; some don't ever want to.”And then he leaps from sight.

You watch before groaning, turning around and walking forward, the gate blocking your way to the castle. Thinking about it, you're not sure you want to go to the castle. The thick formation of clouds above it and how far away it is makes you think twice. You take a step back and look behind you again. You could always attempt to climb back up the abyss. But that wouldn't work.

Suddenly, from out of no where a bottle drops into your hands. You blink, looking down on it. Clearly etched on the glass are the words;

"Drink Me."





STORY


Welcome to Wonderland! You’ve arrived here for one of two causes. One: You’re flat out crazy. Two: You’re slowly dying in a hospital bed. Whatever the cause, you’re here. In a strange world that no one can quite figure out. Upon receiving and drinking the liquid in the bottle, you arrive in a strange garden with tall flowers and colorful mushrooms. This world is yours to explore. Vast valleys, endless rivers and endless possibilities. But there is something not quite right about this world. Everything is out of order, unbalanced and quite dangerous. Your goal is to, alongside friends, restore Wonderland to it’s original state and defeat the Red Queen, hungry for blood with the aid of Alice, the Mad Hatter, of course, the ominous Cheshire Cat.

Bio: Alice has grown up since her last adventures in Wonderland. She is now an older, matured dark-brown haired young woman with emerald green eyes. At a young age, following hersecond adventure, she was orphaned when her parents were burned alive in an accidental fire caused by her cat Dinah. Others say the black kitten featured in her second adventure had done the deed. Afterwards, she fell into a catatonic state after a failed suicide attempt, and was condemned to Rutledge Asylum for treatment.



The Mad Hatter

Bio: The Mad Hatter remains a fanatic of time, but is no longer the tea party-loving hatter that he was during Alice's last visit to Wonderland. He is now a psychopath, literally gone "mad" and obsessed with time and clockworks, who considers himself to be a genius. Though it’s not clear what side he is on at all times, he gives good advice and helps when he can.



Cheshire Cat

Appearance:
Cat: Like the normal one, lavender with darker purple stripes across its back.
Human: Short spikey blond hair, brown eyes. White shirt and grey dungaree that goes down to his knees. Black socks and black shoes with white gloves too.

Bio: He often speaks in riddles and gives cryptic and sometimes nonsensical advice. Apparently, he met Rin's brother and made a deal with him. That he would become the new Cheshire Cat if he died. The Cheshire Cat took up this deal and was free of Wonderland, leaving Rin's brother in his place but with the same personality.


The Red Queen

Bio: The insane, murderous dictator who rules over Wonderland without mercy, she is feared by all exceptAliceand the rebels. Her demise has multiple consequences as the story unfolds, first acknowledging only that she must die in order to restore Wonderland, and then that the character’s sanity in reality would be restored by doing so

Welcome to Wonderland

Name: Eve


Bio (state whether you’re sick or insane in here, must be fairly long or I won’t add you. 6 sentences min.) : After being diagnosed with leukemia and brought to the hospital, Eve sunk into a deep depression. She spent most of her days alone, staring out of an open window to her left and waiting for the days to pass. The doctors claimed she was making progress, but the look in her mother’s eyes said differently. It never occurred to her that that would be the last time she ever saw that look. No more than a day later, her mother died in a car accident. Before the accident, Eve would have never considered chemotherapy, knowing it would make it so much more painful to bear. But what did it matter? It was her own fault. Her mother had been on her way to visit her. If only she hadn’t gotten sick, if only she were stronger. Drifting away into a deep coma, inhaling the gas that wasn’t meant for her once the doctors were out of sight, Eve arrived in Wonderland.

Bio: Beatrice was born with some type of mental illness, her entire family new this. But thinks got increasingly worse a year before getting sent to a hospital. It was around the time she started getting obsessed with things related to magical creatures likes Nymphs, faries, Elfs, ect. Her parents thought it was just a little phase some girls would have until she believed that she could actually talk with and see magical creatures. And thanks to watching Thumbelina, she thinks she's a big fairy that hasn't gotten her wings yet. Beatrice even has an imaginary Elf friend named John.

Burning down to the floor, her and her twin brother were the only ones who servived and was taken to an orphanage. Soon enough, her brother was taken to hospital because of a disease and died shortly afterward. All alone, Rin started to go MAD, taken to an ayslum. The shadows whispered to her, cats ran along and disappeared as soon as they came, all whispering "Why don't you come see me?". Rin feel asleep one night for the first time in weeks and fell into Wonderland, seeing the Cheshire Cat grinning at her then taking the shape of her brother.

He's only showed his insanity three times, and will never tell anyone exactly what he did. He seems friendly at first, but has a temper when pushed. His mood decides how polite he is to others.

They were saddened, but not surprised that their lineage would claim their first son. As is tradition, Daevon was sent to the family run asylum. There, he met his thrid cousin, twice removed. After a few minutes of awkward conversation, Daveon got his cousin's bonds, body not included, for his right eye. It was then that the staff new that he was too. They bound him in a black leather straight jacket, and injected him with cyanide.

Although as sane as any child, the shock treatments and methods they put her through have made her sanity questionable. She doesn't understand morals, or right and wrong, and frequently talks to herself. After having a seizure, she slipped into a coma.

Name:Cashtran Nam



Bio: Cashtran was always a little sick in the head. His father once took him aside at his job and asked if he was gay, and all of a sudden Cashtran was a litle odd around other people, too. He remembers fights, with his mother shouting he was normal. Eventually his father won and he was sent to a mental asylum where shock therapy was the only therapy. This fried whatever was left of his mind and made him worse. One day when his father’s and mother’s pension check came in the mail, he burned them. You see, by this time he was a pyromaniac as well. Children would chant his name as Trashcan Man since his father had forbid him from the house and when he sleeps he chants along with them. Cashtran is waiting for the big fire, the one that will devour all and set all right. He was eventually caught trying to set fire to a church and sent back to the asylum where after a short trip down painful memory lane, he fell asleep.

Alice closed her eyes with a small smile. How odd... She thought, as she tumbled down the familiar abyss of memories. Behind her eyelids, she could see the whole seen playing out in front of her again. The flames licking at her precious belongings, teasing at her nightgown and devouring her family. She remembered the dull white rooms of the hospitals, needles piercing her skin. How she hated them touching her, restraining her, silencing her.

She kicked a leg back, propelling her body upwards as she fell, her blue dress catching the air and delivering her softly to the cushion of a floor. She remembered her days here. She had been so young, and so naive; And even now she didn't both to question this place. Taking a small step forward, Alice tucked some dirty blonde hair behind her ear and stopped. She looked down at her hand. Odder... She thought. No tubes or hospital bracelets. Perhaps Wonderland truly was just an escape for her.

"Mister Rabbit?" Her voice was gentle, carried with the wind as she walked out of her welcoming room. She looked around before gazing up at the sky. "Oh, things have changed." There was a hint of sarcasm in her voice and she wasn't too sure who she was talking to. She walked into the open square of the labyrinth, peering at the gates.

"Peculiar." She stepped to the north gate, laying a hand on the cold bars and staring at the castle in the far distance before her. She tilted her chin up, staring at the dark clouds above it before turning away sharply, a whistle catching her attention from behind. The whistling progressed in volume and she winced, wondering where it was coming from before glancing at the brimstone under her feet. A growing shadow sat right beside her own, moving when she moved and growing as seconds passed. Alice looked up, instinctively holding her hands out to catch the object the shadow belonged to.

A small glass bottle landed in her hands and she grinned a knowing grin, tilting her head as blonde ringlets tickled her cheek.

"Drink me. I wonder..." Unscrewing the top, Alice closed her eyes and took a swing of the thick liquid, feeling it ooze down her throat and settle hotly in her stomach. She groaned, feeling lightheaded and kneeling to the ground. She took a deep breath, the dull colors of Wonderland melting as her vision blurred. Soon, it went black. But she could have sworn she saw something purple smiling at her from above.

Eve gasped as her bright blue eyes shot open, her hair curling around her cheeks. She shivered, staring up into the whiteness above her. As she fell down in darkness, she watched as the light shrunk to nothing.

Did I die...? She wondered, her heart pounding frantically against her chest. No, I can't have died! I'm not ready yet--I'm ready to end it...There might have been a chance! D-damn it! She twirled upwards, flailing her arms around as she struggled to somehow climb back to the top of the hole. How had she managed to even get around one? Or was this the entrance to hell? How long would she be falling?

Eve's eyes widened, tears stinging them. She dropped her arms to her sides, her weight turned her once more, positioning her head first. Her chest felt tight, as if it were going to explode with the pressure her heart was pushing against it with. She gasped, her lungs burning for air. She clenched her hands into fists, screaming at the top of her lungs as she fell further and further down.

"I didn't mean to!" She shouted, her fear quickly transforming into anger. Why was this happening to her? Why was she being taken to hell? What had she done? "It's not my fault! Stop it, damn it, stop it!" She screamed, her voice suddenly quiet compared to the whispers around her. Her fear was creeping up behind her again, the voices giggling and talking. She could only make out her name, but she knew the conversations weren't pleasant.

"Stop it!" She cried, her sobs cut short as she landed on her back, the remaining air in her lungs being knocked out. She wheezed, rolling painfully onto her stomach and coughing until she caught her breath. Her body felt tense, aching dully as she pushed her face against the surface. It's soft...

She pulled herself up onto her knees and sighed out, moving her hand over her face and looking to her right. There was an entrance in that direction. An entrance...Or an exit? She stood up finally and took a deep reassuring breath, stumbling towards the way to the labyrinth. She stopped in the center, looking around quietly. The air was cold and thick, the sky a dark crimson.

"What the hell...?" She wondered, holding her arms. Where am I?

Unnerved, Eve sat down. She held her knees and buried her face into her arms, trembling. "I want to go home..."

A clanking sound caught her attention and she looked down at a small glass bottle resting on the ground. She reached out and picked it up.

"Drink me?" She questioned, taking the top off and sniffing it. It was odorless. Maybe she shouldn't drink it. Something told her that if she did, she wouldn't be getting back home anytime soon. But then again, there might not be any way back up that hole. She took a deep breath. It couldn't hurt. She took a sip of the liquid and winced. No taste, but it was extremely thick and hot. "Gross."

After taking a few more sips, the bottle was finished. She grimaced, putting the glass down and blinking. Why was it getting so blurry? She could hardly see in front of her. And suddenly, it was black.

Kayla danced back and forth along the path, humming to herself. "Here she comes, there she goes, flying, swaying..." she tripped, then righted herself, laughing as she went further. The spinning in her head hadn't stopped, but it felt better, like a feather for a brain. "Feather for a brain!" she screamed out, falling down and lying against the tree, laughing.

Daveon Followed the path laid out at his feet. the sound of pebble upon pebble stirred by dragging feet filled the silent air. His icey blue eye glided about lazily in its socket, taking in the strange ambience of the world. Colors hummed against his ears as he sniffed at the scent of scared hearts.

Such a place this was, he had never been in this part of the house before. Everything was a nothing sprinkled in mystery. He chewed at his collar, struggling to release himself from the forced embrace of the leather jacket. He wanted his bones back, the bones he traded for his spare. If not that, he'd at least want something in return. Hm, perhaps this trip from the sharp prick was what he got in exchange.

Rin stared up at the Cheshire Cat, her eyes widening. Dropping to her knees, she burst out crying. "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?! TAKING THE SHAPE OF THE SHADOWS IN MY PAST!!! I HATE YOU!" She screamed at him.

The Chesire Cat grinned and changed back into his cat form. "Its hard facing your past, isn't it? In fact, I know everything to do with Len that there is." He disappeared into the shadows and appeared again on another tree further down. Gesturing a paw down the road, he grinned more. "Only a few find the way; some don't recognize it when they do; some don't ever want to. This is your jorney and you make the desisions. But I shall help you by pointing you down this path."

Rek walked along through the garden. Hm...There are others here...But where are they? He thought to himself. He continued on until he heard screaming. He quickened his pace and arrived to find someone screaming at at pink cat with purple stripes. "What's going on?" He asked curiously, staring at the cat that seemed to have been talking.

Alice's eyes opened slowly. Above her thick black clouds formed sending warm drops of rain down over her face. She tilted her head before sitting upwards and smoothing out her dress. She was in a garden lying upon the ground beside a stone fountain.

"Odd," She murmured, holding her ankles and pulling them close to her stomach. "I remember the garden being different." She looked around at the tall flowers and trees, remembering back to the days they would lean towards her curiously and speak. But they looked dead now, gray and shriveling. She wondered briefly how long it might take her to leave Wonderland this time, but part of her didn't want to know.

Eve gasped, sitting upward and digging her fingers into the soft soil beneath her. She shot up, disoriented and groaned.

"What is this?" She wondered aloud, looking around. She stood, in the same garden Alice awoken in and walked around the fountain. It was running dry. She looked up at Alice, a confused look on her face. "Who are you?"

The girl turned her head and smiled slightly at her, without a single word.

Eve turned her head, seeing a boy standing in front of her. She raised an eyebrow before standing up, her arms at her sides. It was odd. Where had he come from? Had she ever seen him before? She brushed her hair behind her ear with one timid glance at Alice before her eyes turned to watch him again. She was cautious, not quite remembering how to interact much with anyone other than her mother.

Noticing the girl's shyness, he chuckled and held out his hand, meaning for a handshake. "I'm Rek, what's your name? And do you have any idea why we're here, or where we are?" He asked, more to the other girl than to the one he held his hand out to.

"Eve." She mumbled, turning away from him and gazing up at the other stranger. She didn't bother answering anything else, knowing she had none of the answers he was probably looking for. She walked over to the fountain again, sitting down at the base of it and looking down onto the grass, pulling her knees close to her chest.

"Wonderland." Alice answered, jumping down from the top of the fountain and walking over to him, she smoothed out her dress again and held her hands behind her back. "You're in wonderland. Why? I'm not positively sure." She turned to Eve with a small smile, kneeling in front of her and tilting her head.

OOC: The Cheshire Cat appeared by Alice and now is talking to them all. Daevon is with Rin after saving her from a mutant fish and now is calling her his 'collectable'. And apparently, if anyone who is a part of Wonderland or is in Wonderland tries to leave without fulfilling their task (saving wonderland), they'll die or turn to dust.

Children would chant his name as Trashcan Man since his father had forbid him from the house and when he sleeps he chants along with them. Cashtran is waiting for the big fire, the one that will devour all and set all right. He was eventually caught trying to set fire to a church and sent back to the asylum where after a short trip down painful memory lane, he fell asleep.

Eve lifted her head, a small blush on her cheeks when she noticed how many people were there now. She turned around and climbed into the fountain behind her, sitting there and hugging her knees again as she tried to understand the conversation.

"Everyone's so loud..." She breathed, closing her eyes.

Cashtran whistled an off-key version of "19th Nervous Breakdown" and began to wanderin' through where he was. So much... so much to set a-firah. All he needed was someone to follow, Laws, yes. Lawd? What had Lawd done for him? Nuttin'. Nothing had that pesky dude done for him, and Cashtran could care less how much his mommah thought about that old hee-haw. That was why Cashtran had set his house on fire. Pa hadn't been proud though, Laws no. Not one bit. He had been gosh-darn-tootin' mad at Cashtran, and even called him by his true name, Trashcan Man, which Cashtran thought he would only do when he was happy for Cashtran.

No, no, no. No. He had sent Trashy back to that horrible dumpy-dump, that place where they let the flies run free on his poor 'ole mind. So what if he had set some of their stuff on fire? Trashman was FAMILY and famileh was burnable forevah and evah, hallelujah praise the pesky dude, amen until world's end by fire. Cashtran needed a new family nowah. "Bump-dee-dump. Fump-lee-kump!" This he sang out loudly, and proudly. He needed someone to follow, someone to watch the flames with, to spread the ashes and finally become the ashes with him. Cashtran needed someone to follow. Must have someone. As he walked on, seeking someone, his hopes grew along with the fire within his brain.

"Faddah" Cashtran would of held saccrifical burns in the name of the Holy Firah, the only thing Hee-Haw Man the Great(ly Dumb) had given this gosh darn aweful place and it was his dutah to carry out this blessin'.

Back'o to the present'o, though. Voices, hu-man voices, it seemed. Burnin' voices, it did so appear on this day blessed by the Holah Firah. Walking out of the woods, finishing his whistle, he walked with a fool's grin and a predator's eyes up to the the fountain where they gathered. Yes-indeedy. Suddenly, the fire in his brain began to spread throughout the rest of his body, making him feel like he had set himself on fire with all this great thinkin' he be doin'. Cashtran enjoyed the feeling. Loved it.

Beatrice frowned as the Cheshire Cat disappeared from her before she could even answer his question. She still hadn't been able to find her small elf friend, and no one around seemed to notice her. It was possible they didn't hear her one shout, and she was at a fair distance from them...

Cashtran walked up to her. The flames of his thoughts were dancin' inside of his little head. Boy was his thoughts just a-churnin'! Nun of that mess, hear him now. Must look calm. Must look... sanely? Or was it saintly? Maybe both? He was a saint! He should look like one! From Cashtran's experiences, saints were never sain-ly. Nope, yes-sir-e-bob. Like a young schoolboy reading his first naught ditty off of the bathroom stalls, he talked quietly and ashamed at first but grew in volume and joy.

Cashtran took faster steps so he could advance on her. Fastah and fastah he walked. A flashback in the fires of memorah and sorrow orrcured to the oh so holah Faddah Trash. It was of a fight between dad and mommy. Daddah was drunk and told Cashy to watch and learn a lesson about this new-found phenomina thingy called woman. Daddy had tied her tight to a bed, and had his way with her. Ayuh. Like all curious boys, Cashtran had watched and learned how to make someone straighten up. All you needed is rope. Which he did not have, so it was a goody good thing he was not a shy guy sometimes. He perked right up and asked her, "Do you have any rope?"

"I see. Then I suppose we should get on it, if we're running out of time...Though, Mr. Hatter, you've never really been willing to spare that now have you?" Alice grinned before hopping off from the pedestal she had created and skipping towards the entrance to the forest, holding her hands behind her back. "Shall we?" She curtsied playfully and peered past the trees and into the darkness.

"Maybe we should have weapons of some sort. I'm sure the Queen won't sit around doing nothing now that we're here."

Eve tilted her chin upward, gazing with wide eyes into Rek's with a deep frown before she looked up at the others. They were planning something? Why? Why couldn't they all just stay there? She pressed her forehead to her raised knees and sighed out shakily. She didn't like these people. And she didn't like this world. And she didn't like this Queen they spoke of. Or how the sky was red. Or how her mom was gone. Or how her father was dead. Or how school never made sense to her. And how this was just as bad.

"I want to go home." She murmured, though she didn't even know what home was anymore.

Like the dark stuff in the other world called chocolate. "I don't like hats." she called out to the boy "daevon."

Watching, Eva gently ran her fingers over a necklace, then tried it on. It was rusted, the chain just a leather one, the red gem that would have been a ruby looked the color of blood. She smiled, trying to fasten the catch as she looked in the mirror. It fit her, somehow.

Hats hung from all over, the atmosphere an odd and familiar one. Though inside of a shoppe, vines and flowers seemed to grow in the most bizarre places. She looked around still, gazing intently at all of the odd clockwork around with a shudder.
