It's been one year since Cocoon fell from the sky, only to be saved by a mysterious crystal tower. This tower was made from Oerba Dia Vanille and Oerba Yun Fang completing their Focus as Ragnarok. It was the fal'Cie's plan for several hundred years to destroy everyone. The beings the citizens of Cocoon had worshiped as gods, the beings that have nurtured and protected them for centuries, those beings were responsible for everything that happened. Needless to say, when they learned the truth, they were outraged.

Pulse was different now. It was still divided into two different places: Gran Pulse, the large world underneath where monsters ran amok and fal'Cie could be found in several places and Cocoon, the large "utopia" in the sky that was being repaired. Once separated by the sky, these two places are now connected by a large crystal tower where two l'Cie, Vanille and Fang, sleep in an ever-lasting state of crystal stasis. However, in the middle of the tower, a large elevator had just finished being built, connecting Cocoon to Gran Pulse. The people of Cocoon had ventured around Pulse, seeking to make a new civilization, while others stayed on Cocoon. Those who came to Pulse started to rebuild Oerba and settle in other areas. PSICOM was disbanded and the military did their best to keep order while a new government was formed by a group that would be one day known as the Academy. It was a tough world to live in, but it was possible. While tough at times, life was easy. That is, until that fateful morning.

One morning, Snow woke up only to find Serah missing. He and Lightning searched all over Oerba, but they couldn't find her. Finding her nowhere on Gran Pulse, they decided to check Cocoon. While on the Eden Elevator, they looked through the glass to see Vanille and Fang sleeping peacefully in crystal stasis. Then everything went black.

Lightning and Snow woke up from crystal stasis. They have no memory of becoming l'Cie. Disoriented, confused, and angry, they ventured outside, only to realize they were in Oerba, but something was different. No one remembered them and they recognized no one. They rushed to their homes, only to find new families living there, claiming they have for years, before the war started. When the Snow asked about the war to two heard something shocking: Several years ago, new l'Cie appeared. These l'Cie were superior to other known l'Cie, they seemed to be half-crystal and some form of Cie'th hybrid. Snow and Lightning immediately recognized this form as the one Cid Raines took during their battle. These "Crystal l'Cie" didn't have Eidolons, but their powers were monstrous. The Crystal l'Cie couldn't make it to Cocoon, their goal, and have attacked people on Cocoon, working their way towards the Eden Elevator. Fortunately, the Cavalry was still active and defending the citizens.

Snow and Lightning were hit with even bigger and more shocking news: It has been 400 years since the Orphan Incident. They were in crystal stasis for four centuries.

Though confused, Snow decided they had to do something: they had to protect Cocoon from the Crystal l'Cie. A group of people had come to them, asking for help. They wanted to join the war, but most had no battling experience, save for some weak monsters. They wanted Snow and Lightning to train them. Snow and Lightning agreed. Maybe if they found out the truth behind this war and the Crystal l'Cie, they could find out what really happened during those 400 years.

During a training session, a young girl staggered into Oerba, covered in wounds. The apprentices took her in and mended her wounds. The girl woke up and revealed her name was Jenny. Upon inspecting her camera, the group found pictures of a large army of Crystal l'Cie. Jenny told them she took the pictures from Taejin's Tower before being attacked by a Crystal l'Cie who kidnapped her after battling the heroes.

Snow and Lightning took some of the apprentices to save Jenny. Three Crystal l’Cie battled Lightning's team when they arrived. Dahaka, a fal'Cie long thought dead, returned and joined the Crystal l'Cie's battle. In the midst of it all, "Jenny" showed herself to be a higher being known as Jenova and branded Lightning's apprentices, turning them into l'Cie. Suddenly, Jenny grabbed Snow and pulled his crystal out of his brand, sending him into crystal stasis. The l'Cie had no choice but to flee after being defeated. Snow's crystal remained on the apex, but proceeded to crystallize the entire tower.

Cid, a Crystal l’Cie who had followed the group, then revealed the group's Focus: To destroy Cocoon and bring back the Maker.

While the l’Cie were away from their home, Oerba was attacked by Dahaka and burnt to the ground. The Cavalry arrived in time to save the majority of the civilians but it was too late. The damage had been done. The Crystal l’Cie known as Cid arrived on the scene along with the l’Cie to frame Lightning’s group for the destruction of Oerba. The Cavalry forced the l’Cie out of their home and evacuated the citizens as Oerba was drawn into the Void by a powerful Crystal l’Cie known as Omega.

One of the apprentices had betrayed the other l’Cie and left the group soon after obtaining his Eidolon, joining the Crystal l’Cie in order to prevent himself and his former allies from becoming Cie'th. Meanwhile, Lightning took off to Cocoon in search of answers but met the Cavalry leader Argent instead. Deciding to avoid conflict, Argent and Lightning parted ways so that the she would return to what remained of her apprentices.

Now the l’Cie are left at an impasse, unsure of what path to take, their home destroyed and the Cavalry hot on their tails. Not only that, but they face constant pressure from the threat of the Crystal l’Cie who want nothing more than to have the apprentices bring down Cocoon.



Rules

1. General KHV rules apply as well as the rules of grammar and spelling.
2. You must have some knowledge of the game otherwise things are just going to be confusing for you.
3. Related to rule 2, whether or not you played XIII-2 won’t matter. I have played it and have revised the RP’s story just enough so that it’ll fit in with the timeline of XIII-2. Any major differences you see will be explained as the RP goes along.
4. You cannot use the exact weapons of characters from any Final Fantasy game. Yes, gunblades are allowed and so are dual weapons(like Lightning’s weapon) but you cannot even say they belonged to a known Final Fantasy character.
5. With the above rule, it follows that none of you may control characters from other games. There are some exceptions like with one of the users here Role Playing as Lightning…and of course I am excluded from this rule.
6. Your character may not have been born with the ability to use magic. For the sake of the plot, I don’t need everyone acting as freelancers here.
7. For newcomers to this RP, please don’t be afraid of joining. You will not start out as l’Cie but soon after starting the RP you will become l’Cie. I want more people to join in so don’t worry if you weren’t in the original thread! You will be allowed to start your characters off in either Cocoon or in an area of Pulse that is not Oerba.
8. Eidolons and Crystal l’Cie can have original abilities made up entirely by you but I do not want to see everyone with the same abilities. Also, with Eidolons, I don’t want to see everyone going for the same Gestalt forms.
9. In the OC form for the l'Cie, the Roles you can choose from are: Commando, Ravager. Sentinel, Synergist, Saboteur, and Medic. You only get three at the start.
10. During the RP, you may only switch Roles once per post.
11. I reserve the right to add any rules I see fit at any time. This is Arch’s rule! Of course, I will tell you all if I add anything.

Personality: He is strong willed. Leo is much like Snow, except quieter. He tends to think what Snow says, but never voices the thought himself. He is prone to anger outbursts.
Biography: Leo was born in Palumpolum, but moved to Oerba with his parents when he was 7. He spent ten years there and lived an exciting life, hunting monsters as a kid. When the war started, he deemed it a "far away spectacle" and didn't pay much mind to it. However, his father joined the army and brought the war home when he was killed in combat. His mother died shortly after, trying to protect Leo from a Behemoth King after he accidentally walked into the sights of one. Four years later, Leo joined Snow, wanting to be trained in order to stop the Crystal l'Cie and become stronger, so no one else has to die for him.
Grey had told him first that he would betray the other apprentices. Feeling that it was up to him to beat some sense into Grey, Leo engaged in battle with the fellow l'Cie. He was beaten but still refused to give up, vowing to stop Grey. It was then that both their Eidolons appeared. After they temporarily joined forces to subdue them, Grey left and Leo rejoined the other l'Cie.

Personality: Tends to make comments on the situations he finds himself in whether or not anyone is around. Grey takes things very seriously and at times he finds it impossible to take a joke. He is a very focused individual and has more than once had people call him narrow-minded due to his nature. Despite this, he is an overall gentleman and someone who follows logic rather than letting emotions get the best of him. When in battle, Grey is a force to be feared as he is unpredictable and ruthless. To Grey, no rules exist when he fights. If there’s a goal he has in mind, nothing can stop him from reaching it.
Biography: Grey and his older brother were part of an ancient tribe on Gran Pulse. Unlike those who had moved from Cocoon to Pulse, they were natives to the land. They kept away from the dense cities being built on Pulse and relied only on themselves to survive. Their family was the last of their people and when their parents died, the two set off on a journey to find a new home. Every time they tried to settle down, disaster struck, leaving them homeless time and time again. Eventually, they found Oerba. Upon seeing how small and homely it was compared to other “settlements” they had seen, took refuge there. His older brother decided to make a living by taking a position in the Cavalry(and soon became the youngest person to ever lead it) while Grey was left to his own devices and continued to hunt whenever he could though he would visit his brother on Cocoon often.
When Lightning and Snow came about to gather up people to train, Grey decided to volunteer. Grey had mixed reasons when he had joined their cause and soon after becoming a l’Cie he seemingly betrayed the other apprentices and left with a Crystal l’Cie known as Cid. He’s highly dangerous due to his high skill and unpredictable nature.
Weapon: Carries a blade that has the ability to change into a bladed chainwhip.

Personality: Very spirited and always looking for something to do.
Biography:As the youngest child, she was looked down upon by her parents as they treated her older sister better. She hated her family. One day while she was at school learning about the war with the fal'ce 400 years ago, they were suddenly under attack by the new breed of l'Cie. Mya ran away into the woods. When she came back out, everyone was dead or captured. She found her parents dead and her sister captured. She vowed revenge for her sister and parents. She then met Lightning and Snow and wanted to join with them to fight the L'Cie.

Except he wears a black trench coat (similar in style to Snows), with a red bandana tied around the arm, no white shirt like in the picture but he does have the red T-shirt underneath the trench coat, he always has yellow headphones around his neck too (unless of course, he is listening to them.)
His blades are sheathed on his back.
Personality: A carefree guy who likes to take life easy. Generally kind to others and known as a bit of a joker. He does however know when to take things seriously and can become quickly hot headed in such situations. He has a strong sense of right and wrong and will always try to stand up for what he believes in.
He can also be a bit of a flirt when confronted by pretty girls. He has a catchphrase of saying 'Booya' when he is happy or when something cool happens. It is safe to say that he is led by his emotions and his heart rather than by his head.
Biography: Both of his parents died on the outskirts of Oerba when he was just a kid. He ended up getting by on his own however, living alone at his home and helping others around the village when they needed it. In his spare time he also liked to explore the area surrounding Oerba, and as such developed moderate fighting skills against the many creatures he had to face there.
When he met Lightning and Snow, he decided that he would join their cause feeling that the war has gone on long enough and has caused too much suffering already... That and he has nothing better to do anyway.
Both his Katana belonged to his mother and father respectively.
Weapon: Heaven and Hell - Two Katana (One is pure white, while the other is pure red), duel wielded in an inverted grip style.

Personality: Kross Connery is a shy individual, he has a very kind personality overlapping his social awkwardness, which enables him to get along well with others. He does have flaws in his personality however, such as a lament for failing to protect his wife. He is rather strong willed, giving helpful advice in battle and protecting his comrades valiantly.
Biography: Kross's life had a bittersweet twist. His wife was a very beautiful woman. He had met her right at work where he was a secretary to her office. They were a department for the distribution of weapons to gun ships. A series of events led up to her death. "I'm sorry" She said. Horrified, that was the last time Kross had seen her. He shut himself to outer company and rejected visits. The fate of his parents or other possible relatives remains a mystery. His future remains unclear, but he will soon become a L'Cie. He visits her grave every day, coming always with Pulse Lilies, his wife's favorite flowers.

Personality: Enjoys combat, but will not actively search for a fight. Doesn't dislike others, but sometimes unintentionally appears to.
Has a strong sense of justice, and will almost always step in to defend somebody who is weaker than he is.
Biography: Having been brought up an orphan on Cocoon, Ren is not used to working with other people, especially not those of
similar age. He ran with a gang during his younger years, before going it alone at the age of 16. He has been more-or-less isolated
since then. He is quite skilled with mechanical workings, as proven by his weapon of choice; a old PSICOM SubMachine Gun that he
personally reconstructed and modified to suit his needs. Due to having lived alone for three years, he has both moderate fighting ability,
and good knowledge of common security systems.
Ren recently left the relative safety of Cocoon and headed down to Gran Pulse, hoping to finally find something worth fighting for.

Biography: Akira was born and raised in the old ways of Oerba. After her mother died in childbirth, her father was quickly swept away by the war, involving himself as far as he could to help kill the crystal l'Cie. She raised herself from what she was taught as a little girl about the old Oerba before Cocoon fell. Not long after her father died in the war, she found Light and Snow. Devoting her time to learning all she can from them. She follows Lightning around, copying how she speaks, fights and handles her emotions. Favoring Lightning's agility in close combat, she uses one of Light's old gunblades having deactivated the use of the gun.

Personality: Usually calm, quiet, and reserved, when she hears something about Snow, she grow depressed. But when she watches her friends get hurt and their aggressor approached, she become violent and dangerous.
Biography: Twilight became a orphan during the war and since then, has taught herself how to fight and defend for herself, trusting no one from Cocoon, holding onto too tightly of her Oerba heritage. Growing up and hearing stories of Oerba Yun Fang and Oerba Dia Vanille, Twilight deeply admired Fang and aspired to be like her, even using the same weapon as her hero. During a training mission that led her to the crystal pillar, Twilight met Lighting and Snow. In a instant, she disliked and distrusted them because of their origin. But when Jenny appeared, Twilight unleashed all her built up hatred to Snow, who was preventing her from fighting the Crystal l'Cie. Snow and Twilight promised that she would keep living and grow stronger so she could hear new stories of Fang and Vanille. However, when she was branded a l'Cie, Twilight witnessed more tragedy as she watched Snow turn to crystal.

Personality: Kind towards others but he realizes what is right and wrong to say, in battle, he completely focuses on the task at hand since he takes his training seriously when given a goal to strive for.
Biography: Ryou lived in Oerba with his parents until the age of 10 as they went out with a search party for survivors but they never returned to Oerba afterwards so, he had to accommodate to being alone within the house, he was taught how to cook and any other essential needs for the world but whenever he had free time, he’d practice with his father’s weapon as a promise to himself to become stronger for others and to keep his family’s memory alive, when Snow and Lighting offered training, he instantly took up their offer.

Other: He originally wielded his father’s katana, given to him as a memento of what happened to his parents, but after escaping Oerba he decided to no longer use it for it would bring about wear, tear and rust so he left it behind, relying on only magic until he got to the next town and decided to adapt a new style of fighting, similar to Lightning’s gunblade but as separate pieces and naturally, being one to adapt quite quickly, he got a hang of wielding a sword in his dominate right hand and in his left, a pistol with seemingly endless ammunition.

Gestalt Appearance: He'd fold up into a sort of 3 wheeled car (not at all like Brynhildr), the horns he has on his head and arms (the ones with fire coming out of them, would be aimed behind him on the very back to propel the car forwards faster with bursts of fire. The arms would be the back 2 wheels too, and his legs would have stretched up in front of him and have the third wheel between the feet. His garments and jewels would be dangling in places on his body and just simply (look cool) as they get blown all over the place as Gestalt Ifrit moves, the spikes on his body would also have moved in various places just to look extra dangerous..
There actually wouldn't be a steering wheel. Jaden would simply balance on top of the main torso and ride and guide him almost like he was surfing.

Personality: Cid is fun-loving and rash. He is extremely energetic and loves to move. He loves to fight, not because of duty, but because it's fun. He has a very simple mind and uses certain phrases in the wrong situations.

Special Abilities: Just like Cid Raines, he can switch between a normal form with a crystallized torso (minus his left arm and face) with a large claw and a stronger, winged form. His most special and unique ability is the power to summon a monster from thin air. He can only summon one monster at a time and can't do so in his winged form, yet. The stronger the monster, the more energy it takes from him.
Other: Every Final Fantasy media needs a Cid! Not much is known about Cid's past except that he hates Cocoon. He appears to be in his early 20s. He was made a Crystal l'Cie and knows the fal'Cie who made him personally and is all too willing to help it bring down Cocoon. He seems to act as Jenny's personal bodyguard, he's her closest servant from what one can tell.

Exactly like the picture but her eyes are pitch black. When she turns into her crystal form, her eyes and hair reverse so instead her hair turns pitch black and her eyes turn white.
Personality: Very cold and distant. It's impossible to tell what she is thinking. Despite only appearing to be a child, she is very mature. Very loyal to Cid and Jenny because of her hatred to Cocoon as well as the fact that they are the ones who ended her suffering, but she can be highly unpredictable and unstable.
Weapon: Giant Two handed sword made from black crystal with white highlights. She can hold it in one hand with ease.
Magic Type: Dark, Light, Holy, Twilight
Special Abilities: Can unleash pure dark raw energy, as well as crystallised tendrils. There are some other abilities due to her experimentation pre-Crystal L'cie (but they won't be revealed for some time.)
Other: Years ago... Cocoon was in development of a new weapon that could combat the L'cie threat and be used for military purposes. It was a biological weapon. A young girl was born to be used purely for experimentation. Many clones were made of her, but she was the only one to have survived the horrible process.
It is not known whether she is the original or one of the clones.
8 years pass, the poor girl subject to painful and horrifying experimentation day after day.
The all knowing Great Fal'cie Jenova became aware of Cocoon's plans and sent her loyal crystal L'cie Cid, to put an end to them.
Cid easily eradicated any traces of the experiment and the people behind it, however, he took the limp weak form of the young girl back with him, under orders from Jenova that she could prove useful to their cause.
Once bought before the great Fal'cie. The girls fate was sealed.
Jenova sensed an unrivalled hatred of Cocoon in the young girls heart as well as a great power within, a power that she would use, thus turning Cocoon's own weapon against themselves.
She turned the young nameless girl into a Crystal L'cie and told her that she would henceforth be named 'Linegia'.

All in all, there's no room for any emotion. He has a goal in mind, his Focus. Nothing else matters to him. Any identity he had before, he left behind when he became a Crystal l'Cie.
Weapon: A Gunblade, model Heretic. The same as Leo's but with a red blade and glow.

Name: Omega Weapon: Model XIII-1, but just Omega is fine
Age: Looks around 27, actually ageless
Gender: Male
Appearance: Medium build, medium-length black hair in a style similar to Raines, fair skin, deep blue-green eyes. Wears something similar to Rosch, but instead of Rosch's coat, Omega wears a slick, black, leather trenchcoat instead. A burned-out Pulse l'Cie brand is clearly shown covering the right side of his face, his eye in place of the brand's eye.
Personality: Apathetic and serious around strangers, yet very calm even in the most dire situations; Omega only loosens up when around his siblings, his closest friends, or alone. He respects the fal'Cie and takes his Focus very seriously as he places it only second to his family, hence he may change alliances. Easily bored, he finds enjoyment in a good fight, usually against an Eidolon. Avoids talking about his past or his Focus, unless has a certain level of comfortability around the person. Each model of Omega Weapon has a different personality, though some have none at all.
Weapon: Originally the Masamune, which recently broke, and the Blood Sword, but will soon replace them with his personalized Omega Weapon gunblade.
Magic Type: High Level Non-Elemental, Spacial/Temporal, Drain
Special Abilities: A combined Sentinel and Commando, but mainly the latter. His mere presence makes Eidolons hesitate to attack and throw off their accuracy. His brand acts like a power limiter; the more intense it glows, the more power he has access to. Can change his model type, but only has access to Models V, VI, VII, VIII, X, XI, XII, XIII-1, and XIII-2 (replace Shinra's body with Omega's) and can only re-transform again after 24 hours. May only heal through items, the magic of others, draining a person's life, or transforming.
Other: One of the Pulsian Trinity, the name given to the three personal l'Cie of Pulse, he is known as both “Bringer of the End” and “The Ark to Infinity”. Omega has two siblings: Ultima, his younger sister, and Alpha, his older brother. Though it slightly varied, their Focus was the same: eliminate any and all threats to the planet and maintain natural order and balance in the world until the Day of Reckoning. Omega's version of the Focus also showed him the key role he would play on that day. Joined with Jenova to infiltrate and discover their motives to decide if they are a threat to the planet. Considers himself to be a third party in the conflict and only follows his original Focus, which is impossible to complete and will never end. Learned much in his travels across dimensions.

Personality: Due to his parents death, he now has an undying hatred for Coccoon and it's citizens. He still cares deeply for the other citizens of Oerba, but feels that the destruction of Coccoon is more important than personal ties now that he's a Crystal L'Cie.

Special Abilities: Can form incredibly strong, prehensile, crystal chains which come from either his back or arms.
Other: Up until two years ago Oerba Van Byron lived in Oerba, like many of the apprentices did before they became apprentices, and was well-liked within the relatively small community. His parents were killed during an attempt to drive an Adamantoise away from Coccoon visitors that had strayed too close to a herd, and Byron himself dissappeared during the fight. By survivors and other residents of Oerba he was presumed dead, but he had actually ran away in a moment of uncharacteristic fear, and was turned into a Crystal L'Cie soon after.
(Any apprentices that lived in Oerba two years ago should recognise Byron, as he hasn't aged at all since becoming a Crystal L'Cie.)

After days of exploring and having no food or water, Alice became tired, weak, and hungry and was evenutally found by Jenova, being made into a Crystal l'Cie. After watching the branding of the new l'Cie, Alice became very interested in Oerba Lea Twilight for mysterious reason as she believes that she knows her weakness when she watched Twilight's reaction to Snow turning to crystal.

Biography: Jenny was born in Habara, a city built between the Mah'habara Subterra and the Sulyya Springs after the Orphan Incident. Ever the adventurer and nature lover, she departed from home long ago to travel Gran Pulse with only her trusty camera in hand. Her dream? To capture the world on film. Jenny has revealed herself to be a fal'Cie named Jenova and branded Lightning and Snow's apprentices. She then crystallized Snow. She is the mastermind behind the Crystal l'Cie.

Personality: Argent is a tactical genius, his mind is always plotting the next move to make so that he stays half a dozen steps ahead of any trouble he faces. He's extremely charismatic and has always been a stickler for the rules with the sole exception being for when there's a battle for survival. While it may seemed two-faced for him to even consider back-stabbing an enemy when need be, he feels that there are times when one must ignore the standards of combat when a victory must be obtained. Argent is loyal to the people he protects and would put his life on the line to save Cocoon and Pulse in an instant. Though he does not admit it, he is very much like his younger brother.
Biography: The elder Aeterna brother, Argent, has been the head of the Wide-area Response Brigade otherwise known as the "Cavalry" for around 7 years now. He wasn't a- very popular person when he took over the Cavalry as he was so young those under his command thought he would be just some kid who would not know how to lead. It didn't take long for him to change their minds with his actions, attitude, and brilliant intellect. The Cavalry's signature ship the Lindblum III is a large vessel capable of fast transport to and back from Cocoon and Pulse. It is because of that ship that he and his brother, Grey, have been able to go on many personal adventures of their own involving the tracking and killing of some of the most dangerous monsters on Pulse.
When Oerba was attacked he originally believed that the l’Cie might have been responsible, but he’s had his doubts. Still, he would not take any chances by letting them run free and has set out to hunt them down and capture them. When Argent learned that his younger brother betrayed his fellow l’Cie in order to fulfill his focus of destroying Cocoon, his decision never wavered and if it ever came to it…he would kill his brother if he had to.
Weapon: A blade that can turn into a bow which fires powerful projectiles generated from the weapon itself.
Other: Jihl Nabaat, Yaang Rosch, and Cid Raines were pushovers compared to him. Argent is the strongest and most skilled non-l’Cie alive.

Name: Has been renamed "Shinryu" by Lindzei, sometimes shortened to Shin
Age: Looks 15, roughly around 14,400-18,000

Appearance: Nearly identical to Hope, with slight differences such as golden eyes, whiter hair, numerous scars on his body from previous battles with Omega in his dragon form, and has a bit more muscle. He starts off wearing an old, torn up t-shirt and worn out shorts and later wears white slacks with a simple gray belt, gray sneakers, a khaki, unzipped hoodie over a long-sleeve, black shirt, and silver gloves.
Personality: He's very expressionless most of the time mainly because he doesn't know how to show most of his emotions due to him taking dragon form at a very young age.
Biography: Had his village destroyed by the Undying at age four. Lindzei found and took pity on the child, and took him with her to become her personal l'Cie that directly rivaled the Pulsian Trinity and Pulse himself. He was five when he took the form of the silver Crystal Dragon at the end of his first battle with Omega and was feared by the gods afterwards. He demonstrated his power at the Battle at the Sea of Eden, where he single-handedly annihilated all of the opposing forces there (the fal'Cie Leviathan, the Magus Sisters l'Cie, the entire city of Chronopolis, and the semi-complete supercomputer/artificial fal'Cie FATE), ultimately ending in the biggest time crash in the history of Gran Pulse, hurling the Sea of Eden 14,400 years into the future, and also the greatest loss in history. Effectively ruled the world with fear and destruction for another 10,000 years or so until he was finally defeated by Omega and sealed so deep within the planet that not even Atomos could reach him. Has recently awakened from stasis and freed from being a l'Cie. Travels with Omega unless told otherwise.

Personality: Thought a bit of a scatterbrain, Angel deeply cares for her friends. She's loyal, kindhearted and generous to other, up to the point to giving up her treasured item. Angel is a bit stubborn, never taking 'no' for a answer, but she is often concerned for her friends and will always stand by them, no matter what. Angel has a cheerfulness similar to Vanille.
Biography: Angel was born the mute daughter of a wealthy cooperation on Cocoon, but her disability made her parents very prejudice towards her. When she was 9 years old, she was abandoned on Gran Pulse by her parents. However, as a horde of monsters attempted to eat her, Angel was saved by a member of Oerba village. But as quickly as she appeared, her savior disappeared, Angel felt regret as she never got to thank the young warrior for saving her. Her only clues were that the warrior used the same warrior as the legendary Oerba Yun Fang and fought similar to her style. From that day on, Angel taught herself to fight using the weapon of Fang's companion, Oerba Dia Vanille, in order to find the girl who saved her eleven years ago. When she did, she was shocked to find the tragedy Twilight had gone through.

Other: Angel use sign language to communiate with her friends and silently dubbed herself and Twilight the 'new Fang and Vanille', because of their weapons.

 

"I'm just better than the l'Cie."


"General Aeterna..?"

"Hm..." The elder Aeterna brother leaned back in his seat on the Ixion, a recently finished airship being used since several other ships had been damaged from the attack on Oerba. He had let Lightning both enter and leave Cocoon with close to no resistance in order to hear the young woman's side of the story. The l'Cie had shown that they were both dangerous and useful. Still, even though he was certain they might have not been behind the attack on Oerba he knew he had to pry out further information from them. The l'Cie had to be contained until he knew, without a doubt, that they were of no threat to Cocoon and Pulse.

"We're awaiting your orders, sir."

"Five ships should do it. We don't need to kill them. Get some of those former Guardian Corps grunts to apprehend these l'Cie." The Cavalry had once been an elite division of the Guardian Corps until Cocoon had fallen. Though the "Cavalry" wasn't exactly the official name of the unit any longer, it was the division that quickly took a hold on the situation and phased out PSICOM. It was only until a few years ago when the Cavalry had begun to do the same to the Guardian Corps as the Cavalry began to expand as they were the ones with a higher level of experience and...a much higher budget.

"Tell them to be gentle. I don't want any trigger happy rookies ruining this operation." Argent spoke calmly as his Second-in-Command gave him a "Yes sir!", saluted him, then took off to a different room on the ship to get the message out. Argent folded his arms and returned his attention to the monitor in front of him, watching as the girl--Lightning left Cocoon on the Eden Elevator(or Gran Elevator as others called it). The other l'Cie wouldn't have gotten too far from Oerba so it would be easy to find them. 'I just have to stay two steps ahead of these children and everything will fall into place.'

"I don't lose to fate. I master it."​

The journey had lasted far too long with too little results. The l'Cie had seen Jenny and from what little Cid had told him, Grey had learned of nothing new. Jenny was barely even interested that he had switched sides. His previous plan had been put on hold. He was not strong enough to complete his own mission. He had to get stronger, he had to become better than the rest, he had to surpass the others in every way. That only left him one option.

"Instead sticking around with you two-" Grey paused and looked at both Crystal l'Cie, Cid and Linegia. "I'm going on my own way. Jenny didn't offer anything and I might as well spend my time being productive." He pointed off back in the direction of Oerba. The other l'Cie had left in the opposite direction and were long gone by now...but with Fenrir he could easily catch up. "The only way I'll complete my Focus is by getting stronger. Smacking them around seems like the best idea." He took several steps back from the two Crystal l'Cie. His Eidolith, the crystal used to summon an Eidolon, appeared in hand. Grey tossed it into the air and lazily flicked his wrist to break the crystal with his sword.

In a burst of light, his Eidolon Fenrir was standing beside him. "I don't know what you two have in mind, but I'd rather not have either of you follow me." As soon as he finished speaking, Fenrir transformed into its Gestalt form. Grey took his seat on the motorcycle and before either Cid or Linegia could say anything, he took off.

"Snapshot of the future."​

"You l'Cie are so weak. Gathered around about the wreckage of your home." Without warning, the girl referred to as Jenny appeared in front of the group. Though she appeared to be standing there something was off about her. Light from the sun scattered as it hit her body and even went through it as if she was nothing more than illusion. "One of you has already accepted his Focus. So now that all of you have nothing left to lose, why prolong it? Your only choice is to destroy Cocoon lest you all become Cie'th." Jenny smiled as she calmly spoke to them, speaking far too casually for the subject at hand. She vanished from sight for a moment before reappearing behind Leo. Her hand almost touched the l'Cie's shoulder but just phased through it.

"And you...you've already lost to him. Why would you ever believe you have the power to defy me?" Jenny vanished once more. This time she was beside Akira. "What will you do when you find that your heroes have failed you? They've done such a terrible job at protecting this world." Jenny turned her attention to the remaining l'Cie. "I would rather not have to resort to breaking your wills. Tools like you aren't quite as useful if I damage you all."

 

"I'm just better than the l'Cie."


'It's strange to think that she's only two years older than him. Stranger still that one who was once much younger than her is now seven years older.' Argent kept quiet as he stared at the screen. He didn't let his ship leave just yet. He wanted to wait until Lightning reunited with the l'Cie. Argent tapped his fingers against the chair as his mind continued to wander over the confusing string of messes that were the "paradoxes". No l'Cie, Crystal l'Cie, Fal'Cie, and possibly even higher being knew of the truth behind the events of this timeline. None except for himself and less than a handful of others. There was the former pilot and his young son, the hunter from another time, and the young man... It was startling to him that this young man had just as high of a list of accomplishments as himself despite only being a year older.

"General? ...Is something wrong?"

"No." Argent spoke bluntly as his eyes narrowed. There had to be something else. Something he had missed. "Leave the bridge. All of you." Without any reluctance, the crew left Argent as soon as he ordered it. When the doors finally shut and he was sure that none could possibly hear him did he finally speak again. He pressed a button at the side of his chair to change the screen on the monitor. "Computer, get Hope on the line."

"Snapshot of the future."​

"Pathetic. The lot of you. Too weak to act on your own." Jenny turned her attention towards the Crystal l'Cie who had followed. "Now that you're here I would like you to make yourself useful, tool. Play with these little things until you're bored." Jenny paused for a moment before laughing coldly. "Try not to break them. It would be difficult for me to replace them." She snapped her fingers and vanished from sight, leaving Alice to battle with the l'Cie as her method of punishing them for disobeying her.

 

OOC: Your character isn't a l'Cie just yet. He doesn't have a role or paradigm. D8

"I'm just better than the l'Cie."

"We can't predict when he'll show up again, but we know that he will. When he died...well it wasn't supposed to happen. We had to fix it before everything turned on us. Thankfully, we could even fix our past mistakes and prepare for the time when he returns." The male's voice paused for a moment. "Don't worry. We've got this under control though. What about things over there? I haven't heard much from you since you said Lightning and Snow reappeared."

"Remember that Crystal l'Cie problem? Well there's finally a reason behind it. We might be dealing with some long lost higher being of some sort."

"Really?"

Argent merely nodded as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully. Things were getting complicated. The Cavalry couldn't fight a war and an entirely separate battle at the same time. Even he himself went back onto the front lines with the others, they could still be outmatched. He regretted it, but he felt that gaining new allies, powerful ones, would be the only way they could manage such a feat. There was no one left qualified however. He couldn't trust the current l'Cie and obviously there was no one else to recruit within the Cavalry(as that would be redundant). The new and improved Manadrive was still too costly and had an extremely high risk factor. Those who were in PSICOM in the past had to wear special armor to keep from having the power kill them as direct modification of their bodies resulted in death. To date, a total of three subjects had ever survived such an operation...and two of those were part of experiments better left forgotten. This left him with only one option.

"Argent?"

"Don't worry about things here. The next time you hear something new though, it might be during a reunion with an old friend of yours. It'll be quite the surprise for her to see that you're actually taller."

He laughed. "Yeah, hopefully Light won't try punching me for not showing up sooner."

"Take care of yourself, Estheim. Same goes to the others with you." The call ended. Argent sighed out loud and pressed another button at his chair. It was time to gather his crew to round up the l'Cie.
