Dr. Kurosawa's Log: Discovery of the Shards

22:20

"Hello, I am Akiro Kurosawa and I have discovered something remarkable"

The Camera moved onto what appeared to be a silver gem that had a few pieces missing on it hooked onto a platform which inturn was connected to a computer.

"This gem fell into my yard during a meteor shower adorned in a strange aurora borealis from the sky...I am currently performing an analysis on the thing in question to determine it's origin"

The gem started to speak slowly "You.....will.......serve....me" shortly before a glowing silver tentacle of energy slammed into the camera knocking it out before all that was left...was screaming



Three Months Later

Japan gains a new emperor and delegate by the name of Zeno Genestic with Dr. Kurosawa having gone missing since that night. Monsters have started to appear all around the world trying to look for those shards for varying purposes. The U.N decides to deem any creature from the other universes as a threat with leaders declaring orders to execute and kill any of them on sight. While all of this is going on Zeno starts to prepare his army to recover the remaining shards scattered about the Earth.

Shards 101

There are three different types of shards compiled with a different alignment

Light Shards are crystal clear and glow brightly...they are imbued with positive energy

Dark Shards are black with a purple glow...they are imbued with negative energy

Gray Shards are silver and do not glow...they are imbued with either/both positive and negative energy

Name: Kr'ak Thar
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Appearance: Roughly the height of a human, with a human-like body structure. However, his arms have short spines on them, so small they are barely visible unless you stare directly at his arms. His face is that of a human's, but if he were ever to smile at you you would see that he does in fact have razor sharp fangs, and teeth that are yellow.
Species: Alien
Alignment: Neutral
Strengths: Incredibly fast speed, superhuman strength.
Weaknesses: Gets into battles without hesitation, no matter who it's against. The only time he does not do it is if he is injured. Also can't swim and has eyes sensitive to sunlight.
Series Origin: none
Bio: Kr'ak Thar is a born warrior, throwing himself into battle without hesitation. It is this attitude that gave him the high honour of Chief Warrior on his homeworld, Insellatron. One of the leading researchers on Insellatron discovered a dark, black and purple shard. It radiated a dark energy so powerful that many of the researcher's colleagues begged him to leave it behind, but he did not listen. After succumbing to the darkness, the researcher wrought chaos on the planet, aided by the dark power the shard granted him. Kr'ak Thar did everything in his power to stop the researcher, and after multiple attempts, the researcher was slain, and the dark shard left its host. Much chaos had been caused on Insellatron, many of the beings there were killed, and the planet was thought to never recover from the brutal attack. If he had tear ducts Kr'ak Thar would've cried over the price that was paid for greed, but instead of left and followed the dark shard through space itself, eventually coming to the planet known as Earth, determined to avenge his lost people and restore his homeworld.
Weapons: A blood red blade made of the exoskeletons of some of the creatures of his home world. To date, there has been nothing discovered that can so much as dent the material it is made from.

Name: Kai
Age: 33
Appearance: Long silver hair with glowing purple eyes. Appears to be human but is not. Wears black cloak to cover his face. Has two black wings covered away.
Species: Demon
Alignment: Evil, Himself
Strengths: Has speed and various techniques. Very durable.
Weakness: Water and Cold. He does need water to survive. He will force himself not to drink anything for two days at a time.
Series Origin: none
Bio: Kai was a general within the armies of Hades. He became aware of a dark, black and purple shard that granted him abilities to control the creatures of death in his home land. He became the new leader of the underworld. Hades did not allow this for long, sending him to the over world of Earth to be born a human. The shard did not allow him to be transformed into a human completely. He still was able to keep some of his demon characteristics. After the first 20 years of his life, he was oblivious to his past in the underworld, however, the shard returned to him and allowed him to regain his memories. It as well turned into a weapon shaped from his person. The shard did not have any other use above @#!*% though. It only allowed him to regain his past. It has been thirteen years sense, and he has come to understand there are more shards that could increase his power and allow him complete control over death.

Blood Sync: if blood from target hits tongue, can identify target if flees. Cannot track victim however.

Strengths: quick reflexes, trained soldier
Weaknesses: does poorly with others, willingly throws self into battles
Series Origin: Final Fantasy XIII + XIII-2
Bio: Lightning's father died when she was young, and her mother died from an unknown sickness when she was fifteen. With no other family to turn to, Lightning was given the job of raising her younger sister, Serah. In an attempt to get over the pain her parents' deaths caused and become an adult as quickly as possible, she decided to change her name from Claire Farron to simply "Lightning".

After graduating from high school, Lightning decided to join the Guardian Corps Bodhum Security Regiment under Lieutenant Amodar, where she attained the rank of sergeant, and was scheduled for officer training before the events of the game. However, she slowly began to lose sight of her goals, and worked many hours while spending little time with Serah.
Weapons: gunblade
Misc: Lightning retains a majority of her offensive abilities from FF XIII and XIII-2 without Odin.

Strengths: Has a faster reaction time than normal humans, as well as being stronger when in the vicinity of many plants.
Weaknesses: Isn't very strong, emotionally and telepatically attatched to plants, so it is traumatizing and paralyzing for her when many plants are dying (such as durring a forest fire).
Series Origin: Star Wars: Red Harvest
Bio: As a young Jedi, Zo was put into the Agricultural corps, a order of Jedi normally reserved for those who were not strong in the force. Zo differed from this standard by showing a profound ability with plants, able to communicate with them and influence their growth. Sometime durring her time in a greenhouse facility Zo telepathically bonded with a rare species of inteligent flower. She was abducted with the flower to a planet called Odacer-Faustin, where she was hard pressed to escape with her life. After the events on Odacer-Faustin, Hestizo was on her way back to the Jedi temple to complete her studies when something went wrong, causing her to warp to Earth's reality and crash-land in the forested regions of Alaska. The crash killed her pilot, Pergus Frode, was killed in the crash, leaving her stranded on this strange world in a strange new reality.
