    The Beginning

Evolution without strife is meaningless. This is a lesson often forgotten by humans as they search for new ways to make life easier on themselves with as little effort as possible.

Since the beginning the Watchers have overseen the human race, insuring that they would not annihilate themselves and even calling upon the mighty Metatron in times of need when the guidance of God himself was needed. No matter how much bloodshed the Earth had faced, the humans always seemed to be in the favor of their Creator regardless if they worshiped Him or not.

As time passed on several of the Watchers grew curious as to why the humans were treated so kindly despite their countless mistakes. While many did not believe the humans were not worthy of such love that was bestowed upon them, the Angels still had their affection for them. Some believed that they were better suited at guiding humanity to a new future. This was what lead to their fall.

Several members of the Watchers, guardians of the human race, defected from heaven bringing with them a number of followers that made their numbers just over 200 strong. Instead of doing battle with the human race and ruthlessly conquering them they revealed their incredible powers to the humans. These fallen Angels promised the humans a chance at everlasting peace and amazing knowledge all for the price of nothing but exchange for love. These Angels were to be treated as gods.

The humans, who had just recovered from a terrible war that had drastically cut their numbers down to one-tenth of their former number saw this as the perfect opportunity to begin anew. Blindly, they followed the Fallen in hopes of making their own race stronger than ever before.

This did not please the Elders, Angels of high rank and vast power. Though each of the Fallen had varying reasons for descending to Earth, the result was the same, they had chosen to intervene humanity’s progress and even mate with them to create unholy offspring.

In order to handle this atrocity, it was ordered that the Earth be cleansed of all the Fallen and their influence. There would a flood to wipe out all life in order to start from with a clean slate. The ArchAngels disagreed and argued against the Elders so that Earth could be saved.

Time passes differently on Heaven than it does on Earth... While the Angels in Heaven were fighting over a solution, the Fallen had constructed a massive tower that could house the entire remaining population of the Earth. They had also covered the skies in a veil that would obscure even the sight of God from watching them from Heaven. Three hundred years on Earth had passed since they had arrived.

Finally, a decision was reached. Humans who had already died before the fall of the Angels would be sent to Earth tasked with the job of finding the Fallen. From there the humans would have to either kill them or forcibly drag them to Heaven for their judgment.

Of course, humans would stand no chance against the Fallen. Angels, even those cut off from Heaven, were vastly stronger than humans and had an arsenal of deadly powers...not to mention their Nephilim who grew stronger with each of their own kind they slew. While on Earth, these previously dead humans would receive the Grace of Heaven and be granted enhanced physical abilities and one single power. The ArchAngels knew this would not be enough however and decided to guide the humans down to the Earth and assist them in any way possible as their Guardian Angels.

The humans were chosen to descend to Earth had been picked in an almost random fashion...at least to them. Lucifel, the most revered Angel in Heaven, told them that it was because of their bloodline that they were chosen. Somewhere in their ancestry was a connection to a man who had ascended to Heaven without ever dying and had become an Angel. They were not told who this was or which Angel he had become but this was the reason they were given, nothing more.

Now the humans stand outside the gates of Heaven, ready to descend with their Guardian Angels down onto Earth which will have changed far beyond what they could have ever dreamed possible.

    Rules

    1. Basic rules apply. No Godmodding(irony?), Power Playing, keep it PG-13, and follow KHV’s own rules.
    2. Nephilim cannot have a mother who is an Angel and cannot be related to Angels who have not fallen.
    3. For humans, the use of their Guardian Angel’s powers will only last for 3 posts starting from the post where you activated it. Those powers cannot be used again for another 30 posts so use it carefully.
    4. Fallen Angels and Nephilim will not turn into “good guys†unless I say so. They’re not necessarily evil but they won’t be changing sides.
    5. For the fallen Angels, stick to the personality given to each of them.
    6. You can only have one human and one fallen Angel maximum. You can control as many Nephilim as you want however.
    7. Lots of religious stuff in this RP. Especially stuff regarding Angels. I don’t care what your religious views are, this is an RP so don’t get offended. Also, I’m purposely changing a lot of things about the Angels and mixing some stuff in from actual religious text. Next to none of this is from the Bible. The Bible is actually a terrible reference for Angel stuff!
    8. PM me or VM me if you have any questions or comments. Or even if you feel like talking about Angels! I KNOW A LOT.
    9. Nobody starts off with a weapon. Don’t worry about crafting your character to have massive combat experience. It’ll be assumed that everyone (mysteriously) knows the basics of how to fight.
    10. Have fun and stay active!

    The Fallen

    Semyaza [Taken by me.]
Semyaza is rarely seen, many of his commands are issued through his subordinate Azazel. Even before his fall Semyaza kept to himself. The Angels know very little of his personality or what was the true reason behind his descent to Earth. He has created not a single Nephilim.

    Azazel [Taken.]
Semyaza's second-in-command. Azazel fell from Heaven because he believed that he could bring about the evolution of the human race. Through him, humanity achieved massive strides in all areas of knowledge and technology has advanced to the point to where all forms of illness are a thing of the past. Azazel will do everything in his power to keep the tower from being breached by the forces of Heaven. He has very few children.

    Sariel
This Fallen had descended to Earth for his love of the humans. With his powers he attempted to bring joy to all his people and surrounded himself with legions of women. Sariel has a twisted sense of love and believes himself to be the protector of those who serve him. He harbors a great number of Nephilim fathered by him.

    Ezekiel
The only female of the Fallen and therefore childless. Ezekiel brought knowledge of the astrology to the humans and seems to be obsessed with the night and day cycles of the Earth. As she has no children of her own, she considers herself to be the mother of the humans and treats them just as a mother would...even if it comes time to bring "tough love".

    Baraqel [Taken.]
Has several Nephilim. He is self-obsessed and extremely violent. His reasons for falling are simple. He wished to rule over a species he believed to be beneath him.

    Armaros
He lost his voice during the descent to Heaven. Armaros is not entirely mute but cannot form coherent words and often screams instead. Armaros fell from Heaven out of curiosity for the mortal world and is by far the most peaceful of all the Fallen Angels, having been friends with some of Heaven's oldest residents. He has very few Nephilim, most of which are passive.

    Arakiel
A calm Angel with powers specializing in Geomancy. He has no Nephilim of his own. Arakiel's reasons for falling are unknown.

    Human Powers

Purification - Through the Grace of Heaven, the wielder of this ability will be able to cleanse any impurity. [Taken.]

Detection - The user will be able to sense their fellow (deceased) humans at any distance except for special situations. This ability will allow the user to track down their allies if they are ever lost. As a bonus, this will also allow the user to sense the general condition of their allies to check if they are alive and well or wounded. If the user cannot sense another, then that person is either dead or out of reach of their power. [Taken.]

Healing - With the Grace of Heaven, the holder of this ability can heal the wounds of others. The more severe the wound, the more strength that will be required by the user. [Taken.]

Teleportation - Allows the wielder of this power to transport him/herself to any location he/she has been before. It requires a good deal of strength and in a weakened state, the user could go unconscious after using this power. [Can only be used once per 100 posts.] [Taken.]

Telepathy - With this power, the user can project his or her thoughts to any allies even from miles away. This does not, however, allow them to hear the thoughts of others or allow mental communication to the one with this power. [Taken.]

Eyes of Truth - This ability allows one to see weaknesses in an opponent and, if weapons are available, which weapon would be best to use against an enemy. [Reserved.]

Invisibility - A temporary ability that turns the user invisible at the cost of their strength in order to maintain it. [Effective for three full posts. Cannot be used in another 100.] [Taken.]

Power Mimicry - This allows the user to copy any power granted to another human except purification. In order to do so, the user must physically touch the one they intend to copy. The power the user copies can only be used once. Only one power at a time may be copied. [Cannot copy another power for 100 posts.]

Guardian Stance - A limited power that allows the holder to withstand any attack for a short period of time. [Can only be used once for every 100 posts.]
    [Taken.]

    Humans
    Username: Machina
    Name: Elias
    Gender: Male
    Age: 22
    Appearance: Click
Bio: Coming from an almost forgotten age, he is one of Heaven's oldest residents. Elias was once a priest when he was alive but after having spent so much time in Heaven, he remembers very little of his former life. He has made friends with several Angels and was saddened to see several of those he knew fall from Heaven.
Personality: All in all, Elias is very much what one would call a "do-gooder". While he has never done an act of violence while he was alive, he recognizes that given the current situation he may be forced to rely on such methods to bring the Fallen to justice. He's a bit on the serious side and very stubborn.
    Guardian Angel: Uriel
    Power: Purification
    Other: N/A

    Username: Rem
    Name: Joan
    Gender: Female
    Age: 21
    Appearance: Clicky
Bio: Joan lived during the time society was prospering and had at first lived the typical life of a girl. She doesn’t remember too much of her past due to her wanting to forget it completely, but all she can remember is at one point she had lived in an abusive household, and the one responsible for her death was her abusive father. She already knows for a fact that her distaste for violence comes from her past life.
Personality: Soft spoken and extremely slow to anger. Joan usually prefers to think twice before setting her mind on a goal and rarely shows any form of aggression. She feels that violence will only make things worse than things can get and believes it’s best to “talk things out.†However, she already knows if violence is the only key to solve something, she’d rather stay out of it.
    Guardian Angel: Gabriel
    Power: Healing
    Other: N/A

    Username: Barakon-King
    Name: Boris
    Gender: Male
    Age: 29
    Appearance: http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/u446/sintur/Viking_Warrior_by_severeene-1.jpg
Bio: Boris lived during the time where the warrior was revered all over the world. Hailing from the land of the vikings, many times Boris has killed and pillaged, all for the glory of Odin. Despite his violent life and worship of other Gods, Boris was otherwise pure of heart so his ascension into Heaven made sense. Yet he secretly harbors a resentment, he would've preferred an eternity in Valhalla.
Personality: On the exterior, Boris is cold and unapproachable. With his huge stature and bravado-filled speech, many men feared Boris and for good reason. Boris knows his way around a fight much moreso than any other individual and will attempt to make a winning situation out of a bad one. However, on the inside he is caring and gentle, always trying to ensure his comrades' safety.
    Guardian Angel: Barachiel
    Power:
    Other: N/A

    Nephilim
    Username: Machina
    Name: Cain
    Gender: Male
    Appearance: Click
Personality: Cold and almost emotionless. Cain often does the dirty work of his father and kills any undesirables within Azazel's floor. He often leaves the Tower in order to kill the few humans that remained outside who still seek to destroy the Tower.
    Father: Azazel
Abilities: Regeneration and physical abilities above those of his fellow Nephilim.
Other: Amongst the Nephilim, Cain is one of the most feared and most powerful. He has killed many of his own kind who had grown too strong to control their own powers.

    Username: Korosu
    Name: Juilet [Nickname; Juci]
    Gender:
    Appearance: Here.
Personality: Though she may seem weak and meek, Juci is the opposite. She is able to cajole nearly anybody with her child like antics and looks. Juci has the habit of being pretty dramatic, theatrical wise. Hints of semi-sarcastic personality are present within her. Showing strong ambition towards her and her Father's goals, she's willing to do anything to please him. She is almost as self-obsessed as her Father, constantly yearning for violence or power. Juci tends to hide behind her mask, the helpless child act, in order to fool those she wishes to eliminate.
    Father: Baraqel.
Abilities: The ability to create Illusions, abnormal strength. [not super, super duper strong, more like adult strength for a child -I suck at explaining, okay.]
    Other: ---

    Username: Barakon-King
    Name: Seth
    Gender: Male
    Appearance: http://i1218.photobucket.com/albums...ee Friends/tumblr_lphnitgaJL1qdrxcao1_500.jpg
Personality: Cruel and sadistic. Seth hosts a terrible bloodlust, enjoying and prolonging any fight he gets into...at times with other Nephilim. He follows the will of his father to the letter and believes the human race are scum who should be crushed for attacking the tower. He believes he is the only one of his father's children who is worth something and is quick to say so.
    Father: Baraqel
Abilities: Seth has reptile senses (smells, sight, and reaction time) and a pair of razor-sharp claws.
    Other: N/A

    Username: Aragorns
    Name: Naseni(NN-ass-en-eye. Anagram of 'Insane')
    Gender: Male
    Appearance: http://images.wikia.com/bioshock/images/a/ab/Leadhead_Splicer.png
Personality: Paranoid, quick and ruthless. Anyone who looks the least bit like a threat, he'll kill. He has the habit of wondering his father's floor/wherever in the tower he's allowed to go muttering things that don't make much sense. Not very social either, infact, he seems to only get along with his own siblings... and even then, he's been known to attack his brothers and sisters.
Father: Azazel(or Sariel if Azazel is not an option for some reason)
Abilities: He can jump incredibly high, though if he jumps too high, he has chances of breaking his legs. His other ability is that he can make people start seeing things. (An example is if one person is trying to run away from him, no matter where they go, they'll think he's just round the next bend.) Eventually they'll proberly go insane. Though this dosn't work on those with a strong will and mind.(like, I suppose an example would be it wouldn't work on Machina's character... and mabye not Boris either. Mabye.) His last ability seems to be that he never runs out of bullets... not that he's very accurate.
Other: He is seemingly insane, believing himself to be in a city under the ocean, and that through a 'Saviour' by the name of 'Elenore', he will be reborn. Until then he'll wonder the 'Hallways of Atlantis', or, as he sometimes calls it, the 'Corridors of Rapture'. He'll also say some other random stuff, and seems to be talking to a 'Aragorns', 'Darktraitor' 'Bushybrow', 'Droid', or a 'Machina' most of the time, of course, whenever he talks to these 'people', there's no one there. He also uses a 1960's handgun.

"You sure that you're fine going by yourself, Elias?" The black-haired Angel Lucifel spoke as he folded his arms and looked over the human with his bright red eyes.

"No problem. Everything's fine." Elias responded confidently as he turned his back on Lucifel and jumped down beneath the white mist and landed right in the palm of the giant seven-fingered hand. As soon as his shoes hit the hard stone the hand dropped at an astounding speed. He was alone, save for Uriel, in this journey. It would be no easy task to take on the Fallen, even with his new powers. Elias's eyes glanced over towards the ArchAngel Uriel, who took the form of an elegant swan. Aside from the Fallen and Lucifel, no Angel could take a form other than this unless their powers were being drawn upon. He watched as white streaks of air tore at Uriel's body as he dived alongside the hand, unphased by the sheer speed of the descent.

It would take some time before they would reach Earth, even at that speed. Elias clasped his hands behind his back as he stared at the emptiness they were passing. Nothing but white in all directions. Until...

"What are those!?" Black figures started to rise from the palm of the hand, appearing from absolutely nowhere. At first glance they looked as if they were nothing but a dense black fluid. Then they took form. They were small humanoid creatures that lacked a head and stood at a height about half of Elias.

"Beasts of the Darkness. Heaven's Grace does not extend this far. This area of in-between is corrupted beyond appearances. Prepare yourself, Elias!"

"Don't worry, I brought you a little present." Lucifel's disembodied voice came through. As soon as he spoke a sword made of a brilliant metal appeared out of thin air in Elias's hand. If he was going to fight the Fallen, he had to be ready for anything and everything he could possibly run into.

    "Right. I've got this."

It was then in that battle that Elias faced death's door. He had been overwhelmed so suddenly by these beasts. He lost. A resident of Heaven who dies cannot simply return to Heaven. If Elias had been killed there, the Earth would have surely been doomed to face the Flood. This was not his appointed time to die. The last sound he heard before everything faded into darkness was the snap of Lucifel's fingers. Everything had changed. Time had been turned back. This time, Elias wasn't going alone.

"You sure that you're fine going with these guys, Elias?" The black-haired Angel Lucifel spoke as he folded his arms and looked over the human with his bright red eyes before turning his attention over towards the other humans who stood beside him.

Elias smirked. "No problem. Everything's fine. I'm not alone." With that, he jumped through the mist, this time with the other humans and ArchAngels by his side.

OOC: For those that don't understand my post, I'll explain. Elias was going to go on the journey on his own. He failed right at the start because it was too difficult for one person to accomplish alone. Lucifel(an altered version of Lucifer for this RP) snapped his fingers before Elias could die and turned back time. Now all the humans(the OCs) and Guardian Angels are heading off. The banner of the hand in this post is where they'll end up now.

Sapphira inhaled deeply what air she could, wanting to keep herself calm for where she was about to go. It wasn't completely obvious to the others on how she was feeling, her exterior always as cheerful as it had been since being brought back. But inside, her nerves had gotten the best of her. She thought for a moment as she stopped, watching Elias make his way over and disappearing into the mist. She moved her hand up to her hair, taking some around her finger and twisting it around as she looked to the others.

'They all seem so strong. I am obviously the youngest of this bunch. But there's no use in complaining about such things. I gladly agreed to this.' Sapphira continued her walk, finally reaching the end of the heavens frpm where she was to descend from. The pit of her stomach felt like it was churning, making her feel sick.

"There is no need to worry, dearest Frosty." Raguel finally spoke up, reading her as easily as ever. He always had the ability to know exactly was she was feeling since they first met. Of course, this was really of no surprise considering who he was. He walked over to her, cleaning a few of his feathers before facing her once more. "You can do this. You mustn't show any sign of fear. Your enemies can use it against you. Even then, I will be there by your side. So there really is no reason to hold onto such a feeling."

"I know that. But we are human after all." Sapphira clenched her fist tightly, taking a second look down below. The feeling had calmed slightly but still remained in a deep part of her. Though eventually, a smile crossed her face, looking back to Raguel with a face full of glee and confidence again. "But there's no use in me staying up here to rot like a tomato. It's not like death is something I should really fear." At that, she spun around in a quick circle before facing forward again. "Bombs away!" She giggled a bit as shiver ran through her, taking one last breath as she closed her eyes before her feet sprang up, finally leaping off and down onto the hand below.

She landed a bit clumsily, falling onto her bottom but she just gave a little laugh before standing up and cleaning herself off. "Now there's something I should really work on." She grinned happily, looking around as she waited for the rest to come down.

The former Viking watched Elias and Sapphira plummet underneath the mist and frowned. Now Boris was not a man of fear. No, no, if anything he was too confident. However, the giant beast of a man still had to look to the ArchAngel, Barachiel, before jumping after him.

"I assure you, you will be fine, Boris." The Angel said, his voice comforting Boris. He was like Boris in many ways. His attitude and thoughts always seemed to reflect the warrior's own. With a firm nod of his head, the angel gestured toward where Boris would make the jump.

After an assuring look, he steeled himself over, stepped forward, and jumped. The air rushed upward and the gust blew his long, golden hair every which way, but the fall was not long and the large man landed squarely in the palm of a stone hand with a solid Thunk!.

"Decent drop..." Boris mumbled to himself, admiring the architecture of the hand. The Viking looked over at Elias and looked him up and down. The lad looked as if he was still wet behind the ears and not yet experienced in the ways of combat. The mission they were undertaking defintely required some knowledge of it. The man then looked upon Sapphira, and after a moment he closed his eyes and shook his head. A clergyman and a young girl...at least this isn't all the forces of Heaven have to offer... He thought. "Do you think you're prepared, priest?" Boris called out to Elias, smirking slightly, it was a joke but given his naturally serious tone Elias might take it the wrong way.

Crystal had awoken next to a group of people. They were all accompanied by an angel. She stood up curious about the events that were taking place. It also occurred to her that if all of these people have an angel beside them, does she? Crystal looked behind her and found that she was with the Angel Cassiel, the angel with the power over nature. "H-hello, Cassiel. I am honored to meet you," Crystal said softly. She whispered, "My name is Crystal, but please, call me Tera." It was a random name she pulled out. She wanted none of the others to know who she was.

Cassiel replied "It is a pleasure to have you with me, Tera. You are probably wondering what you are doing here, yes? I believe Lucifel will explain shortly. Please, make yourself comfortable for the time being."

"Alright then." Crystal sat down to observe the rest of the group among them. Her eyes could not look away from the blonde haired blue eyed gir who was sitting next to her. Crystal felt good vibes coming from her. Crystal wanted to try and make a friend while waiting. She could not find the courage to speak up however. She stayed still, like a statue in anticipation for what was to come next.

June was looking down into the blank expanse of white, straining to see something other than the whiteness, but failing. Everything about this place confused her. Just as she had finally gotten used to the fact that she had passed the "final test" and yes, she did deserve to be in Heaven, she was suddenly ordered to leave this place. For some sort of important missions that only a select few could do. They didn't go into much detail. And they want me to just...hop out of here? I've never even gone skydiving!

"It's all right. Remember, I'm here. And your fears are illogical if you're already dead. You really have nothing to fear. Just think of it as something fun," assured Raphael. He tried to calm the girl's nerves as he did sort of understand that the sensation of falling was an ingrained fear in humans. Even if they had already passed on to the next life.

"Um...right...thanks....Raphael....good to know that you're...here with me," replied June, unsure of how to take the angel's "advice". But now she was just stalling, and the thought of having people wait for her specifically annoyed and worried her. She would not be the last one to hold everyone up. Whatever this special mission was, she would try her best to fulfill her duty. Here goes. Taking a breath, June steadied herself and leaped into the mist.

After a few seconds of a screamless freefall, she landed surprisingly on her two feet, crouched close to the palm of the hand that seemed to be the main checkpoint that everyone was to gather at. Taking multiple gulps of air(or lack thereof) she slowly stood back up and walked over to the nearest finger to grab a hold of and steady herself. The floating platform/hand had suddenly appeared out of the fog and surprised her. Having calmed herself down, she looked around herself and saw that there were 4 others with their respective angels and that they seemed to be below the previous layer of mist but above another layer of clouds and more mist. Oh I guess it wasn't that great of a drop either...I was freaking out for no reason.

Eyes narrowed, Rath stared forward as he plummeted down the empty white scenery along with his guardian angel by his side. It has seemed that he was to be sent off on another mission, one that was for the well being of mankind. In life he life a bloodstained life and it looks like even in death he would continue to get his hands stained with the blood of his opponent.

"Your task is to eliminate the threat of the angels that have descended upon earth. You are to also dispose of their children as well. Do you understand you mission Rath?" the guardian angel Ariel said as she descended along side Rath

"understood" Rath said calmly as the two nearly reached their destination. Just like in war he followed his guardian angel's words word by word, just like he did with his own war leader. Whether she would sacrifice him like others did or not was up for the future to decide. For now all that mattered was the elimination of those that plagued the earth.

Upon noticing the floating hand ahead Rath immediately shifted his body so that he could land on his feet. The impact came and Rath managed to land on his feet and had crouched down upon impact. Eyes closed Seth stood up straight and looked ahead at other humans before him.

Elissa smiled as she watched the first few people jump, she liked to let other people go first so she could better see what was going on. She was not afraid to act but she prefered to wait before she did something rash. She was not usually one to get scared but she'd be lying if she said she wasn't a little nervous. They had a very important and dangerous mission ahead of them, so she guessed that that was normal. Her hand had crept up to rub her neck. She did not like to show any kind of weakness but that did not mean she didn't feel it.

"You'll be fine" A voice came from behind her and she looked round to see her archangel, Camael looking back at her. Camael was always so supportive and it was quite clear she could sense Elissa's nerves. "You can do this so stop doubting, it doesn't suit you. I'll be there if you need me but I doubt it'll come to that much. Now go on, show them how it's done."

Elissa nodded definitavely in reply, glad that her angel was there. She wasn't a child anymore and had been in heaven a long time, she should be able to do this. She looked around for a moment before glancing at her angel for a moment to quietly say "Thankyou". Then she ran to the edge and leapt off into the mist. She enjoyed the free fall, she liked the sense of freedom you got with just the wind blowing through your hair. Although it came to an end all too quickly as the platform came into veiw. She landing could have almost been described as graceful as she landed carefully on her feet, crouching and standing up in one flowing motion to absorb the impact before looking up to smile at the others.

Hazel eyes slowly opened as the figures before Joan jumped to their destination. The cloth covering her mouth lowered to the woman's neck, her lips parting as she made her way to the edge of ground beneath her feet. She wasn't hesitating, but she knew by jumping she'd only end up seeing the things she disliked greatly. She wasn't sure how things would start, but she already had a bit of an idea on how it would end. Sighing lowly Joan turned away from the edge, crossing her arms around her stomach as she eyed the few that stood left.

The thought of returning to Earth never came to Joan's mind; she figured she'd stay up with the Angels forever, but even the thought of returning to Earth slightly scared the poor girl. It made her think of a couple things she only wishes would wash away from her memory. A chill ran down the girl's spin, making her arch her back and tremble slightly, her arms hugging at her stomach slightly tighter.

    "Jump."

Oh, how much she wanted to refuse that simple word. A small frown formed on the girl's lips before she suddenly turned back and ran forward, following after those that had gone before her. Her lips pressed tightly together as her eyes closed, her hand bringing the cloth back to her mouth.

"You're late," said the angel, Michael, as the young man approached. "One wonders how somebody such as yourself was chosen for a job as important as this. Even worse, I've been paired up with such a person."

"Ow, your words...they sting me, Mike," Cyrus said nonchalantly as he brought a hand to his mouth, trying to hold back a yawn. A dense white mist twirled around his feet, obscuring what was below it. The surface. Ever since he had gone to Heaven, Cyrus had never once thought about going back to Earth. After all he was in Paradise. Everything he could ever imagine was here so there was no need to bother with a place full of imperfections. But ever since he was told that he would have to return, he couldn't help but wonder. How much had the world changed since he left it and ascended? While he didn't like to admit it, he was old compared to a good amount of the residents in Heaven despite his youthful appearance.

    "Jump."

"No need to be in a rush. I'm going," he said with a smile on his face as he stretched out his arms. Looking down towards the mist, he took a deep breath, closed his eyes and leapt. As he fell, the air rushed by his face, brushing softly against his skin and ruffling his hair. Snapping his eyes open, he could see it, the floating hand where everybody was to gather. Despite the high fall, the impact of his landing was soft and there was only a light thud when his feet touched the palm of the hand. It seemed as if everybody else had already arrived and they were preparing for the upcoming mission. "We can do this!" yelled Cyrus as he brought up his hand to form a thumbs-up.

    "Don't get cocky."

Elias headed over towards the first finger on the far left of the giant stone hand, pausing only one to look over at the one who had spoken to him. He refrained from answering just yet as he took another few steps forward to examine the finger. It seemed to be wearing some kind of large...thing. It stuck out upwards towards the sky a few feet and was made of the same material as the hand. Whatever it was, it reminded Elias vaguely of a ring or some kind of oversized lock. "I'm just as prepared as anyone here." He finally answered Boris as his eyes gazed off into the distance. The ArchAngels were each diving down alongside the hand as it made its descent. The swans looked so unnatural moving at such speeds unaffected by the dive as air visibly passed quickly around them in large streams.

    "In case you're wondering..."

The sudden appearance of Lucifel startled Elias. He spun around on his heel to stare at the Angel. Lucifel was the only one of Heaven's Angels who could take on the form of a human. He was dressed in an odd fashion. Though these clothes had not been made in his time, Elias knew what was it that he wore. Lucifel seemed almost vain to dress in such a way but if Elias asked, he knew that the Angel would just sum it up to being his sense of "style".

"Those things are Michael's Rings. Not literally of course." Lucifel glanced over at the flying swan he knew to be Michael, the one who had actually created them. "Not the name I would've chosen of course but these little locks will be enough to imprison the Fallen for all eternity if you can manage to bring them back here. Of course there's only seven rings so the others..." Lucifel smirked at the group. "You all will just have to mop them up. Now then, these things haven't been put to use yet so you might need to give them a little beating to open them up. Try hitting them."

"With wha-" With a snap of his fingers, Lucifel summoned several ordinary looking swords into the group's hands.

"That's all we have right now I'm afraid. Heaven's weapons have been stolen by the Fallen so when you get down to Earth all of you will have to start recovering whatever you can to use. Those swords won't stand a chance against any other weapon you come across. They'll also be worse than useless against the Fallen." He motioned towards the group so they could hit the seven rings to force them to unlock so that they could be ready to be used.

Sapphira was quick to act, rushing her way over to grab one of the swords. Seeing as she was small and child-like, she had a feeling the others might try and take advantage of her. But she wasn't about to let that happen. Even though they were her allies, she wasn't about to let them step all over her. She was one of the first to grab hold of one of the hilts, pulling it to her side as she turned almost instantly to head over to one of the fingers as Lucifel had instructed. Her breathing had become slightly heavy from the small exercise, making a mental note that she would have to work on that later on when she trained herself.

Reaching the finger on the far right of the hand, Sapphira took a tight hold of the sword with both hands. It was a bit more heavier now that she realized it but she managed to lift it over her head. Her smile turned serious as she stared at the finger with determination. 'Now that I think about it, what in the world is this going to accomplish? Well.. maybe I shouldn't ask. The answer may be given once I do so. Either way, I shouldn't question what the ArchAngels as me to do.' Without a second though, she brought the sword down with as much strength as she could bring upon herself. She struck it with quite a bit of force. Not enough to break it, but still a fair amount.

She opened her eyes quickly, not having realized that she closed them to begin with. She pulled her sword away slowly, preparing herself instantly in case anything were to come out. She didn't want to look like a fool after all.

As soon as the last person had landed onto the palm of the great hand, the thing began to plummet at high speeds and all the arch angels morphed into swans and were somehow keeping up with the falling hand. At first June was startled, but amazingly, the descent didn't feel like the worst roller coaster ride she'd ever been on. It actually felt more like an elevator. And just as she was calmly at ease and watching the clouds whoosh by them, Lucifel suddenly appeared and began explaining a few things. A sword had materialized in her hand, her fingers already wrapped around the hilt. It was a surprisingly simple looking sword. No fancy decorations or ornamentations of any kind. Just a plain metal hilt and blade. Switching her gaze from the blade of the sword, June looked slightly up at the ring around the finger where she was standing by. It did look sort of like a lock. A ring shaped like a lock? she tried not to dwell too long on it and just get to "breaking" it. Drawing her right arm back behind her, June readied herself to swing the sword in an upward slice adding her left hand for more strength and support before impact. A sharp clang was heard as she struck it following after another clang from someone else hitting their own finger-ring-lock-thing.

Crystal watched as the last of the others landed onto the hand's palm. She was frightened and nervous to what was to come. The hand began to fall at rapid speed making her jump a bit. All of the angels including Cassiel were transformed into elegant swans. Crystal was quite surprised that the birds were able to keep their ability to remain with her and the others. When Crystal was alive, she had felt a large earthquake, the hand falling, to her, was like a vertical earthquake creating uneasiness within her self.

Not all of the angels had turned into swans however. Lucifel had morphed to the appearance of a human being. He explained a small bit on what was needed to be done. With that, he summoned swords. Just regular dull swords that the blacksmiths in her village would have laughed at. They were needed for hitting the rings that were scattered on the fingers on the hand. Crystal walked over slowly to take one of the swords. She gripped it and it was light. It really was just an ordinary sword. She walked over to the pinkie-finger of the hand. She was not very trained with a sword when she was alive, but for some reason she new she could use it. She took a defensive pose and struck the ring with all her might.

Joan's feet pressed against the stone hand, listening as the rest made their landing as well. Standing up straight, the young woman looked around, listening to Lucifel as she began to walk towards the edge of the hand. As she listened, a frown formed on the girl's lips, slightly upset at the idea of "mopping up" the other Fallen. Her eyes narrowed as she gazed beyond the area they were in. A sudden tug on her hand surprised her, cutting off her train of thought; lowering her gaze, she saw an ordinary looking sword and made herself appear rather confused as to why it was even in her hand. Looking towards the others, Joan already saw what she needed to do. Inhaling deeply, the girl turned her attention towards the ring closest to her. Gripping the hilt of the sword with both of her hands, she clenched it tightly and charged forward, swinging the blade with as much force possible. With a loud clank, Joan stumbled back and shook her arm lightly, lowering the sword back down to her side.

As the others hit Michael's Rings the locks split in half and rose slightly with a loud creak that almost gave the impression that the rings could crack from the sudden movement. They weren't broken, one could tell because the line along which they had split was smooth and followed the patterns engraved on the rings. Elias tightened the hold on his own blade and brought it down on the largest of the seven rings, watching it open and rise the moment his blade struck.

"I think that ring will be best suited for locking away Semyaza in, don't you think? Tear out their souls and imprison them for eternity. A fitting punishment."

Elias had nothing to say towards Lucifel's comment. Angels were vastly different from humans. What seemed a harsh punishment to them would be something expected amongst the beings who normally did not even know the meaning of death. Angels were held to different standards, that was for sure. He stepped away from the ring and looked towards the other two that had been yet to be opened. "Anyone going to get that?"

Boris smirked at Elias' response and studied the rest of Heaven's forces. I suppose when the time comes I'll see their true colors. He thought to himself. After a moment, Lucifel appeared and began talking. At the mention of Micheal's Rings, Boris looked to the fingers and took a step towards one. The reality of the task had just hit him. He was getting ready to fight an enemy he had never even dreamt of. It didn't matter, a fight was his specialty and he was sure that he could overcome and obstacle he came to.

When the sword appeared in Boris' hand he immediately felt calm. He was now in his element. He held the sword high overhead and brought it down with great force, splitting the ring cleanly. With a flourish, he spun the sword in his right hand, brought it around his back and into his left hand and stuck the blade into the stone ground. Despite his serious attitude he couldn't hide the grin on his face. "Got one." He muttered.

Rath eyes shifted over to the sudden weight in his right hand. Raising his right had he stared at the sword that his hand had automatically gripped the moment it appeared in his hand. “Such a pitiful blade†Rath merely said as he calmly closes his eyes and flicked his sword arm downwards. He was all too familiar with blades weapons, swords in particular. These blades were like Lucifer said, worthless. Nonetheless with a sword in his hand it still brought him some form of ease despite it being useless.

Silently he took a step forward and headed to the finger that still had a ring on it. Stopping on the finger and in front of the ring on said finger Rath opened his eyes and glanced down at the Ring. Narrowing his eyes Rath merely pointed the tip of his sword at the ring. With one quick swipe he slashed the ring before him like Lucifer explained. Holding the blade in a reverse grip Rath closed his eyes and waited for his next task.

As the sword appeared in her hand, Elissa looked down at it with interest. It was a little big and heavy for her small stature but she was stronger that she appeared, she'd cope just fine. She ran her finger down the smooth blade before butting her finger on the blade just below the hilt to do a test she knew to see how balanced it was. Rather preditably it failed. Fortunatly she managed to catch it before it tumbled to the ground in a way which would have surely embarressed her and make them doubt her capabilities. As it stood she was saved from that fate.

Turning to the ring, instead of simply going and hitting it with her sword, she wandered over and knelt by it. She gently touched it, examining every detail of the ring. It was quite an impresseve thing that was almost mesmorising. She heard clangs all around her as the others released there rings but she did not want to be rushed. It was only when she realised everyone else had already released their rings, did she decide to get up and free hers. She raised the sword high and in one sweeping movement brought it down onto it. The movement was swift and precise, maybe even graceful. It didn't appear that it had quite as much power as the others though but it released none the less, cracking neatly in two.

The last lock split open at last. Elias tightened his hold on the blade at hand as he looked around the giant stone palm, waiting for those creatures to appear once more. After a moment it became apparent that they would not attack this time around which surprised him. 'I suppose they don't appear to attack large groups. Hm...that could be useful.' He looked around once more, noticing that Lucifel had disappeared without a word. It was just like him to leave like that.

"I wonder if we're almost there-" There was an extraordinarily loud crash as rocks of the terrain bellow suddenly crumbled as the stone hand came to its stop, jolting Elias forward and nearly causing him to fall down. The seven-fingered hand stretched open as the massive fingers were brought down to the ground. Dust kicked up from the impact but the group could clearly see past the hand.

It couldn't have been Earth. This place looked too foreign...too alien. The ground was solid white as if it had been covered in snow yet everything was so warm. Elias looked at the sky to see a swirling mess of bright shades of blue, purple, and green. No Sun was in sight...neither was the Moon. Elias stepped forth and leaped off the hand, hitting the ground hard with a thud. There was some white sand but most of the terrain was solid and almost looked as if everything had become stone. "There's no grass or wildlife. Is this truly Earth?" He looked above towards the Guardian Angels who had begun to circle overhead in the sky.

"We have truly arrived. What you see here is not an illusion. The sky has been covered in a veil by the Fallen." Uriel answered Elias's call, speaking out towards all the other humans. The home they had all departed in death was not the same place they had returned to. This was what they had to save Earth from.
