The Tales of Beedle The Bard - Discussion

well, i just got the book today, and personally i loved it, I think the commentary was comical yet very informative. My favorite story by far was either "The Fountain of Fair Fortune", or maybe "Babbity Rabbity and Her Cackling Stump"

ok so i was driveing to school and i forgot to put on deoderant before i left...so i was panicing...so i deicied to run to wal-mart to get some before class started...and as i got there i ran to the spot where the deoderant was and i grab the kind i wanted and low and behold i look over at the books for a sec and it was there!, i grabbed it with out a second though >:3

 

i know what you mean! Its the one story besides the Tale of Three Brothers thats mentioned in the book, and i really lol'd when i read it ^^

 

I saw it at Chapters yesterday, but I couldn't get it because I was Xmas shopping. It was so tiny, though. xD

 

it may be tiny but its really worth it!

so what did you think of the commentaries? i liked it when he makes a footnote that says "Such as myself", its hilarious to me 8'D

OK, so I was late getting my hands on this book.. Only bought it one week ago but yeah - I enjoyed those fairytales quite a lot. As of my favs.. It'll have to be The Fountain of Fortune and The Three Brothers. First one for the journey to get to the fountain itself, and then the fountain wasn't even magic, it was the trials that were the fortune part I guess. Very fun and similliar to tales we have here. :3 And the Three Brothers.. well how can I not like it, it has a good moral in it how power can lead to trouble. When I finished the book I started reading the Deathly Hallows again for the fun of it. :> Still some parts I just can't figure out tho.

I loved these comments in particullar.. X3 It had to do with the fountain story, right?

Other than that, I also thought it was sweet to look at the illustrations in the book. :>

 

its kinda a cute book... something id let a 9 yearold enjoy, though...
