Kingdom Hearts First Sora ever

Hey everyone!
Has anyone ever seen the very first Sora drawning?
And I dont mean the one with the keyblade. Because I found one on the Kingdom Hearts Wiki, altough I doubt you don't know about it.

What was Nomura thinking when he made this?

 

Nomura's favorite animal is a lion, if I remember correctly. Hence why he wanted to put Pride Lands in KH1 so badly.

I've seen this before, but the chainsaw thing still is a bit... weird.

 

Well that's one reason why not many of us has seen it. A bigger reason why it was never used. Can't say that I didn't laugh though. He had a cuter face.

 

i don't mind the weapon but,I'm glad they changed the way he looks

 

Why the lion claws I know he likes lions but what is he a "li-man" or something

 

eh, it was alright, but KH would have been completely different if he didnt change it...first off, no keyholes, seeing as its a chainsaw, so that might also take out the heartless, the heart of the worlds, and other random stuff as we know it

 

I've never seen that one before. Man... that was cool, but weird at the same time. O.o

 

I like this Sora. Except for the weapon he has. It isn't a Keyblade by the looks of it.

 

I dislike this concept, although my favorite animal is a lion (which gives it plus points) it just looks like a little Squall with Lion features and Cloud's fringe plus Sora's "I just got raped" impression giving smiley face.

Originally none of that stuff was going to be there until Nomura was told to make a decent plot. If they kept the chainsaw they probably would of had him slicing big ribbons of energy that somewhat resemble the lifestream except more fluid and with different colours and stuff to disconnect the worlds.

 

It is a very interesting approach to the character we all know and love....or we all know at least. I've heard of the chainsaw through random wikipedia articles, but I haven't seen this before. It is pretty bizarre, but at the same time, its pretty cool. Bonus points for a chainsaw.

 

I remember this interview that Nomura said about Sora's initial weapon being a chainsaw. When he sawed the drawing at the disney stuff they were freaked out. I was wondering how it was like. Good design but thank God that we don't have to play with a schizophrenic lion murdering Disney characters.

I dunno, when I first saw that, I thought it was another 'additive' effect of the keyblade: Add the lion keychain, not only does the keyblade change, but Sora gets more 'lion-ish' characteristics. At least, that's how I saw it.

Anyway, I think it was an interesting enough idea... but I think I speak for everyone when I say I'm glad they made the... leaps in creativity that they did in order to reach Sora's KH1 look.

 

Wow, he looks actually cooler. Cept for the big round thing in his hand/paw. Either way, Square Enix shouldn't throw away concept art lol.

 

That is an abomination and I regret every setting eyes on it.

I think something would've been thought of to make it work. Like... a Keysaw or something XD

Seriously though, I'm glad he ended up changing it. I don't think I would've liked Sora with a chainsaw.

 

kinda looks like he wanted to put some of Squall (Leon) into Sora
he even has the Griever keychain in the chainsaw
he should have looked like that on pride lands
would have been better than lion sora
but im glad that he updated it to the current sora
