Digital Art La'rR3sist@nc3 assignment #2

Okay. Welcome to assignment number two. This one is pretty simple.

Making tag 400x100.No further rules. I want to see where you stand with a simple sized tag, and then go from there. I have many activities in store, but I want to see what the clan needs the most, so I can organize things accordingly.

If you have any further ideas, they can be discussed in the clan thread. I still haven't chosen any particular logo. It's a hard decision, but thank you for partaking.

This assignment will end by friday. Or when every clan member partakes.

 

I think it's funny that perhaps the simplest thing can be the most difficult. <3

Will get started, just need a bit o' inspiration. Pretty sure know where I'll get it coughcoughxiuxiuxcough... :'D

 

Here's mine. I made it a while ago. Focused more on colors. I also had to mess with the colors a lot. Also, it was a magazine scan.

Lol, I eased up on the darker colors, and removed most of those that created too much shadows and details. Also, the border makes it bigger than the size, but the border is an add-on.

It doesn't have to be exact 400x100 if you add a border, btw.

 

This is pretty gorgeous.

I really love the subtlety of the effects and the text (though I would have liked to change the color of the text on her shoulder, it's kind of a very unflattering green). Light is gorgeous and I love the mixture of warm & cool colors. Border is... well, awful, but it needs something.

 

Lol, I don't know why everyone hates borders so much. I'm not in love with the border, but I don't think it's awful...per se.

I do think you are right about the text, but I like greens. I do have a borderless version, but it's a meh thing.

 

Your colours are sex Chev, as usual. It looks like over saturation is causing some wonky pixels out of place on her arm. Other than that... I wish my colours turned out half as decent as yours do. D:

This is also gonna be this SOTW's entry since it's a sprite of a game, so I decided to do both things at once. lol

Mind you I did most of this on one day and it's probably incomplete, so pick as many details as you want. :3

And Chev, I actually like the border a lot, then again it's me and my weird tastes. <.<

 

I made it as simple as possible, but in the end I couldn't decide between the final colour so I have 3 versions.

Lapras used Surf and wiped us all out.

That thing is hawt. You sure know your geometry shapes xD. And that smudging! I'm so envious right now. It's so lovely.

As for Fayt. I like the first one. I really am quite biased towards green in general. But it looks like you could add a bit more. But I really like those textures.

 

I've added a few things. Seems I was too simple with my original attempt.

 

I wish I have Topaz.

 

FFFF not my best. It's been a while since I made a tag this size. D:

 

I wish I could make stuff like all of you did, but I made poop.

 

Not sure if I'll be able to do this one because of limited time, but if I do I'll edit this.

 

I used to be a topaz whore... now I find myself using it and going "GAH THAT'S POOP" and baleeting the layer. =p

Really topaz is good for a quick fix but my best stuff was made without it. At least in my opinion.
